POEM STARTER
Write a poem that could be sung as a lullaby.
You could set it to the tune of an existing lullaby, or think up your own rhythm. Remember that lullabies are for children, and are ususally meant to be calming.
Lullaby For The Beloveds
Once upon a time
In a world close to thine
Lived a town of children who dreamed of nothing but sleep
They danced half the day
Did their homework right way
And always remembered how many loving words to speak
They longed for the night
Bundled up nice and tight
As their parents sang them to sleep
They prayed night would stay
So they could dream the night away
As they started to count their sheep
