My sister’s embrace

In a world made of songs that echo so clear

A girl grew with laughter and love, with no fear.

Surrounded by mothers and sisters she loved,

She learned to believe the stories they told.

“A step in the outside, you should never take!

The sisterhood bond for ever you’ll break!

Outside there are demons and monsters are real!

Emotions too deep for your heart to feel!”

She looked at the stars and wowed to repress

The longing she felt, she couldn’t confess,

But heart has its ways and girls are so brave!

How could she deny this freedom she crave?

Beyond the blue veil, a small step she took…

She wanted to feel, she needed that look!

A look in the outside, a step and a voice…

A warm touch, a feeling she’ll always rejoice…

She knew from her sisters thst men can be mean

And cruel and absurd, violent and unclean!

But this one knew poems and sang to her heart…

She’d rather be dead than from him apart!

Oh, Love - oh, cruel shadow, you stole all the joy!

She truly deserved to be more than a toy!

But he’s not a man! He’s just a mean boy!

Outside of the veil, same old, somber story

How life it’s a fight with too little glory…

There’s beauty and love, there’s courage and grace,

I found them for ever in my sisters’ embrace…

With them, all the darkness I know I can face.
