Craving daddy’s attention
Looking for love in all the wrong places
In pursuit of fairy tales and fluff
You found me instead
And I became the pursuer
While chasing your ghost, I became one myself
The ghost of lost potential
Seeking but never finding
Emptiness begets more emptiness
And the cycle repeats
The family curse
Something you never had
Became the one thing I could never have

Wow. I was just journaling about these kinds of feeling (what I interpret as...). This is a beautiful, haunting poem with a measure of desolation. Like a fever dream.
