First thing in the morning

Her story:

“The Emerald Island…you know it? The sand feels like silk and the water has the purest shade of blue. Sometimes, when the sun sets down by the mountains peaks, the waters appear as made of gold…

And he could take those diving lessons he always wanted. And I could finally wear the bikini he loves, we could, maybe, reignite…come on, you know what I mean!

Look at me, blushing and giggling like a schoolgirl! Should I do it? One click and I can empty the savings account and buy the tickets! As a surprise for him…he’s always complaining how I’m busy with work and kids and house chores and we never do anything together! I guess I do neglect him, so that would be a perfect way out of the routine…Okay!

I’ll do it! Tomorrow, first thing in the morning I’ll buy the vacation of our dreams! He’ll be delighted!

His story:

“She’s tired, I get that! Almost obsessed with those damn meals she cooks for us. Homemade food, yeah, but, really…Anyway, it’s our anniversary and I know exactly what would make her smile. But…it’s pricey.

So, here’s the deal: we have that savings account so I’m gonna use the money to get her new kitchen furniture. Not any furniture, I mean, I want the smart one with sensors incorporated. It’ll buy her time and she’ll be less tired and then…well, I guess I deserve something good too!

I decided: tomorrow, first thing in the morning will pay for the furniture. Oh boy, she’ll be ecstatic!”

And morning came.

And morning faded away.

Along with their dreams.

Noooo!!! Wait! It was NOT like that!

He got up first. Took the money.

He bought her furniture + breakfast in bed (cause he was a great guy, really!)

She cried in desperation for 2 hours

(cause she’s really ungrateful!)

He sold the furniture and bought her the vacation at the Emerald Island.

She felt guilty, but happy.

They made love on silky sand, then bathed in blue waters.

There were sharks in the water.

Okay, NOW I feel better!

(that went well, don’t you think?)
