POEM STARTER

End a poem with the line:
'When does a man become a monster?'
My Monster
I grew up believing,
I wasn’t worth much,
When I looked in the mirror,
I never saw enough..
That day I met you,
You looked back and smiled;
The feelings I felt,
Could make me float miles.
The next time we spoke,
You sat next to me,
And told me I spoke,
So intelligently.
You said you loved me..
You made me believe,
That I was much more
Than I ever perceived.
How I lucked into you,
My heart could not know,
You ticked every box,
You stole every show,
I knew way back then,
I’d live my life through,
Twice and again,
Just to be with you.
But someone new came along,
With more beauty than I,
And you craved her love,
More than you did mine.
But it made so much sense,
Why you didn’t choose me,
More sense than before,
When you said it was me.
Its like you changed over night,
And you said you don’t see,
How you could have ever,
been with someone like me.
Thats something you never,
E’er said to my face,
And now its with pain,
That you make my heart race.
It doesn’t make sense,
You’re an imposter,
For when does a man,
Become this monster?
