I really don’t know

And maybe that’s why

I don’t always let it show

I’m a hopeless romantic

That is written on castle walls

The kind where you write your initials on a tree,

In a heart

The kind where you walk hand in hand

And you together you listen your favorite bands

The kind where you stay up to talk to your friends

Gushing and how you never want it to end

I want my love

To be written in the stars

Painting the way

For years to come

I want the love story that lasts forever

One that’s not written on paper

One that I can cherish

Forever and ever

But even after I dream about all this

Wondering who my first love will be

Have I met him yet

Do I know him already?

I still cannot grasp the concept of love

It feels too real but too fake

It makes no sense

But it is the reality that grounds us all

Love is the rope that is thrown when I fall

Whether it is thrown down by a boy or my mom

I wish,I hope,I dream

That one day a magical love will find me

So I can understand what it means

And tell that story to my kids

So I can know

And let it show
