STORY STARTER

Write the blurb for your first romance novel.

A blurb should intrigue the reader; introducing the main characters, and describing the plot, without giving too much away.

Between Fires and Gones

Imma not do a romance novel. I DO WHAT I WANT (it turned into a story…)

She’d lie on the ground. Nothing taking her peace away. Her dark hair would blow over her gorgeous face. The dead grass would tickle her soft skin. I’d lie down by her, to feel that same peace. Yet, I could never be like her. Solara was the one person everybody knew and loved. She always kept calm, even when the world was dying. Burning. Crumbling. She acted like everything was perfect while people were fighting. Dying. Protecting.

“Solara, how do you do it,” I asked her.

“Do what,” she replied.

“Live! You act like everything is fine!”

“Haven’t you gotten used to it by now? We’ve been living like this our whole lives, Laz!”

“Yea, I know. But you act like everything is perfect and amazing and like nothing could be better than this!”

“Laz. You gotta live in the moment! Take it all in! It will get better! I know it.”

“No, Solara. It’s getting worse every day and you’re the only one who think it’ll get better!”

“I’ll make it better!”

“You’re over confidence terrifies me sometimes. You’ll die doing that alone.”

“You’ll help! Won’t you?”

“Sol! Look around you! There’s fires everywhere! People killing each other everywhere! Everyday! We wouldn’t survive.”

“We could try.”

“No. The Zyuhls would kill us.”

“But Lazzy! We could end this! All of it!”

“No. We can’t. I’m out. Sorry, Sol.”

I got up and walked away from her, her unpleasant, burning stare heating my back. Yet I still walked. Towards the fallen buildings and torn world. I felt terrible for turning off on her like that but she kind of deserved it. Didn’t she?

I stopped once I got to the Drift. It was my own place. Somewhere nobody knew. Even Solara. It was my peace. My place. The dark kept me safe from the outer disasters.

_The End_

** for now**

**Maybe…**

I know I didn’t follow the prompt like AT ALL but oh well… it is was it is and I ain’t getting rid of this
