A fire inside

Can you see flames in my eyes

The world is burning

My heart is yearning

I wish the flames would be put out

But they burn

And burn

Burn

Burn some more

I can’t take it anymore

I don’t want to burn

I don’t want to melt

The heat of the flame melting my heart

I wish I wasn’t so angry and mad

I would rather be frigidly sad

I’d rather feel the cold dread

Than feel this heat

Why do I have to pent it up

Why can I let my flame spread

Across the world

Let the world be consumed

In orenge and red

I can’t let my fire spread

Because if I do

I’ll hurt you

I won’t let my fire burn

Not when it means hurting you
