Until Your Stripped Bare
Is respect just a debt you pay for someone to say they know better ?
That there older and wiser that you have no rights to feel cold that you should do as your told because they’ve been through worse .
It gets better don’t you know will it ever be enough to show or does hope just blow ?
I’m lost in an ocean of people were my voice drowns beneath their echos of hope that beg me to cope .
Trying so hard to make it to the next day the struggle to stay it’s like I’m praying to a void to avoid every scar yet love doesn’t travel that far .
Don’t you see the ripples in the sea when I throw the rock before it sinks , but eveyone just blinks at the sight of pain they aren’t blind they see the fight yet they act like it’s alright .
There always more than one side to every story a reason for the choices . After a while your voice get sore shouting for somone to listen for you are hurt soon you’ll lay beneath the dirt .
The truth is no one really cares until your dead because then they can’t shake that feeling of shame that there lack of acknowledgment brought you so much pain they start to question if their to blame .
