POEM STARTER
You are lying in the grass staring up at a multitude of stars in the night sky. Write a poem about what you imagine life on a distant planet to be like.
No Place Like Home
Staring at the stars
In Great Plenitude
Starting to theorize
On life afar
What’s it like?
Near that distant star 💫?
Then I realize
That’s kind of rude 😌
It’s an ingratitude 🧐
Will the grass be green
And skies be blue?
What Fantastic creatures with
Amazing features,
Lurk in technicolor, 👽 grass?
Would they eat me, and you?
Billions of miles away
From my green spaces
Splashing surf
Happy places
Nope, that star’s
Too far
It’s not for me
I like my Blue Dot
In 3rd Spot
Our perfect distance
From the right sized sun
Giving us Life, and a whole lotta Fun
Counting Our Blessings
Is what we ought to do
Plenty of Paradise
Right here
For me and you
We’re right where we want to be
So no space voyages, getting radiated,
For you and me
Do you agree?
