After Death Do We Part
I’m sure you’ve heard this line before
It’s common for lovers
“Til death do us part”
Common for those that suffer
And pretend to love each other
Another common line
“True love”
That one gets compared to the first
But it isn’t alike at all
Not even a close call
True lovers will never part
Even after death
Even after we take our last breath
Only, this isn’t about parting
This is about sticking together
Like honey stuck to your finger
Or a microphone to a singer
Like teens to a screen
Or like a bug stuck in a mug
Compare all you want
It’s nothing when next to a true bond
Always sticking together
Even after death
After we took our last breath…
Yes, took, we aren’t alive
We don’t strive
Well, not anymore
Not since we’ve been killed past our core
It doesn’t matter though
Because we’ve already been sent below
“How many bad thing’s have you done?”
You may ask, doesn’t matter when lost some lungs
Maybe it was for the people we’ve killed
For the people that are missed
You can put it all on a list
It doesn’t matter, when they’re already lost
When our lungs were the cost
His and mine
Both lost at a dine
A last bite was taken
And a death was maken
