Empathic
As the moon shines down
She looked up to the sky, with a grateful grin
She was filled with love and energy
Such comfort felt in darkness
Her eyes have been blessed to look within
Clear picture of those who need seen the most
A-lot of her life she hated this quality
taking on peoples suffering
Affected her mentally
Many years and a lot of pain later
she’s gained balance and an appreciation of distance
Realized certain humans seek out empathy
But suck you dry if you allow
It was never her job to fix or change a problem
But show admiration for the distressed
Provide a comforting presence and a gentle nudge
Then let them go on their own
Trust the process
Those deemed weak are often the strongest
But silenced from being misunderstood
What a lonely life to wonder weary
Only to meet someone who sees you clearly
Choose kindness
Human life depends on it
