The Truth Behind The Villain
Dear diary,
They call me a monster. They think that I enjoy hurting people. They don’t think I’m good enough for their world. They don’t understand just how much they need me. I am order, I am justice, I am their true protector. Without me they would drown in their own stupidity. They would trust any wide-eyed, charming imbecile promising them the world while taking everything they hold dear. They would be ruined in a day if not for me.
So, why am I also so shock how quickly they are to worship a so-called hero? Why does it still pain me to see how quick they are to rely on some nobody that came from nothing when I have been here the whole time? He’s no different than the rest. He promises to protect them, but they don’t see the lies behind his eyes. The things he wants to blame on every else. The number of body’s he lets pile up, so he has something to fight against. They only see what he wants them to see. But they still eat it up like he’s the greatest thing alive.
I’m the one that sees the truth. I can see that he is failing them and that is something I can’t let stand. If ripping out his heart will make me the villain then so be it!
He may be their hero, but I am their villain. I’m the one that will always be there. I outlasted the fraud before him, I’ll outlast him, and I’ll outlast the next!
