Life Without You
Darkness fills the air
Nothings new
Darkness has always filled the air
But it’s different now
I haven’t seen the sun
Well at least since you’ve been gone
No more sweet scents of baking every day
No more shopping
No more arguments
No more tuck ins
No more hugs and no more kisses
No more “do my hair” or “does my outfit look good”
No more “don’t do this” or “don’t do that”
No more softball games in spring
No more laughs and no more shouts
No more birthdays parties where we go all out
No more board games no more walks
No more church and no more “talks”
I think about you everyday
And when I think you came back
The sun doesn’t show
I think to myself
Maybe I’ll see you one day
Because life without is pretty gray
