“How can you say that?! How do you know that’s true?”

“Well, it is true.”

Abi stared at her brother, Luke. “No. It’s not true. It- it can’t be.”

“It is true. And we’re going to visit them today.” Luke added.

“We are?” Abi looked up at Luke and shook her head in disbelief.

“Yes. So come on, grab your bag.” Luke grabbed Abi’s sweaty hand and pulled her towards the door.

“This is crazy, Luke.” Abu admitted.

“I know it is. But she really wants you to come.” Luke assured her.

Luke opened up the car door for Abi and let her climb into his blue truck. Luke then went around to the other side and climbed in himself and started the car engine.

“Almost there,” Luke announced to Abi as he pulled into the hospital’s parking lot.

“Ok,” Abi whispered and she hopped out of the car seat and walked in the front doors with Luke at her side.

“Hello there, we’re here to visit Claire Wakes?” Luke said politely.

“Right down the hall, Room 32” the receptionist said pointing down the hall. Luke thanked her and pulled Abi down with her.

“Ready?” He asked her about to open the door. Abi said nothing but Luke opened the door anyways.

“Abi! Luke! So glad you guys came!” Claire said seated in a hospital bed.

“Hi Claire, how are you?” Luke said.

“Great now that you guys are here. Would you like to hold her?” Said Claire lifting up a small newborn Abby wrapped in a light blanket.

Luke stepped aside for Abi to reach out and hold the baby. Abi ever so gently grabbed the baby and cuddled it in her arms.

“She’s adorable!” Abi whispered not wanting to wake the baby up.

Claire smiled. “Thanks for stopping by!”

Abi smiled down at the little baby. “I’m glad I stopped by.” Luke smiled as he tucked his hands in his pockets. “She’s like a little angel. God made her beautifully.” Abi commented. And she was not wrong. The baby was a special creation.
