Memories
Maiden Starlight sighed as she walked into the room. “I’m gonna warn you right now, this stuff can get intense.”
“I know,” Fauna replied. “But, if I’m gonna be apart of the Six Mythical, don’t you think that I need to start taking risks?”
“Also,” Melody chimed in, “didn’t you say you hated Fauna~? Why worry so much if you didn’t like her~?”
“Please shut up, I’m not above of giving you a black eye.” Maiden Starlight grumbled.
“Alright, alright.” Cassidy said, urging both girls slightly away from each other. “Let’s stop fighting, shall we? Wait, where’s Estella?”
“Right here..” Estella mumbled in her quiet voice, appearing right behind the group.
“You should go in front, it’s safer,” Alice said, gently urging Estella next to Angelita.
“What are we doing anyway?” Angelita asked.
“I’m pretty sure that it’s the Haze Of Memories,” Cassidy said, then looked to her leader for confirmation. Maiden Starlight nodded.
“‘Haze Of Memories?’” Fauna echoed.
“It’s basically this thing where you see the memories that give you trauma and sadness..” Estella explained softly.
“Soooo, remind me why we’re doing this again?” Fauna said.
“To try and find who made this,” Maiden Starlight replied.
“Okay..” Fauna murmured. “Wait! How about one of us thinks of a memory? That’s probably the way to find the entrance, right?”
“You think that’s the gonna help? That’s the wor—“ Maiden Starlight began, but Melody interrupted her.
“Yeah!”
“But..who’s gonna think of the memory?”
All seven girls looked at each other, and Maiden Starlight sighed quietly. “I’ll do it,”
“Are you sure?” Fauna asked.
“Yes,” she replied.
All girls watched as Maiden Starlight’s face twisted and untwisted as Alice went through her mind, probably trying to agree on a memory. Both girls nodded, then Alice let go of Maiden Starlight’s hands, and her eyes stopped glowing.
“Now we wait.” Maiden Starlight said while flying up in the air, signaled for them to grab their weapons, (except Melody, since she said since she’s a siren she didn’t need it) then grabbed the knife she always used that was hidden in her petticoat, and the others grabbed theirs.
All the girls huddled together, waiting, until they heard a child’s laughter.
“Who is it?” Angelita asked Fauna, since she was the one facing the direction the child’s giggle came from.
“It’s Aphrodite!” The child giggled.
“Aphrodite..” Maiden Starlight turned even paler.
“Astraea!” Aphrodite called, running up to Maiden Starlight. “Hey, when did you get so tall? And who are they?”
“Aphrodite..” Maiden Starlight whispered.
“Why do you keep saying my name so sadly? And why are you crying?” Aphrodite asked.
Now that Fauna thought about it, Aphrodite and Maiden Starlight looked..similar. They both had cream colored hair and Hello Dolly colored doe eyes, plus the fact that they both were angels, literally, not metaphorically. The only few differences was Aphrodite’s hair was in two high ponytails, she was wearing a pink nightgown, and she was holding a Sanrio Cappuccino plush.
Maiden Starlight brushed away small tears. “Aphrodite, I need you to answer me carefully. We’re you always here?”
“No, I was with you!” Aphrodite said.
Maiden Starlight nodded, then moved closer to the group. “What now?”
“Now we figure out how to make her disappear,” Cassidy replied.
“Wait! I have a question.” Fauna said.
“What is it?” Maiden Starlight said.
“What is scary about this memory?”
“…my sister died in this.”
Aphrodite furrowed her eyebrows, and stepped closer, ignoring her sister. “What do you mean ‘disappear?’”
Maiden Starlight blinked away tears, and nodded at Melody and Cassidy.
Melody cleared her throat, and started singing whimsical, soft melodies. Cassidy quickly joined her while slowly grabbing the perfume she brought, and started singing an angelic, lovely song.
Aphrodite got cornered in their song, but still whispered at the pink chandelier, “light.”
The light grew the size of a rose, and yet it made the chandelier fall with a loud plop, causing the room to light up in flames.
They all started coughing and hacking, yet she smiled and ran around in the moonlight colored fire.
“Aphrodite!” Maiden Starlight yelled, trying to reach out for her sister.
The younger girl tilted her head, looked at the flames, and pointed at Estella and Fauna. The flames surrounded the girls like a fairy circle, and both girls screamed.
Fauna started growing flowers to stop the fire, and Estella scooped the two up on a baby pink crescent, and together they went to looking for the others.
Fauna grew a dreamrose in her palm. “Eat this,”
“No!” Estella squeaked. “You’ll need it!”
Fauna furrowed her eyebrows, Estella squeaked, but still ate the dreamrose, and she fell asleep.
“Starlight!” Fauna yelled, looking at the girl who looked like she was about to be in tears. She jumped off the moon, and scooped up Maiden Starlight.
“Wha—“ Maiden Starlight began, but Fauna had already placed her on a large pink rose with Angelita and Alice, Angelita had healed both their wounds, and boosted them with Estella.
Melody was trying to extinguish the fire with her water, but it was almost like she was hesitant.
“What are you doing?” Cassidy asked, healing Melody’s fire burn.
“I’m gonna drown this place if I do anything else with the water!” Melody screamed.
Cassidy’s face twisted pitifully, and she ran to Melody, boosting Fauna up on pink light.
Cassidy hummed sugary melodies, causing Melody’s face to soften, and she drowned the place in water.
A few hours later, they all woke up.
“Did she escape?” Maiden Starlight asked.
“No,” Fauna whispered.
They stood over Aphrodite’s body, her body twisted and a pink frilly dagger in her heart.
Cassidy snaps her fingers, it disappeared.
Maiden Starlight brushed away more tears, but jumped on top of Fauna, wrapping her up in a hug.
“Oooh~!” Alice snickered.
“Shut up..” Maiden Starlight murmured, burying her face in the rose of Fauna’s neck.
Fauna blushed and grumbled about something stupid, but was still glad they were all safe.
For now.
