“I was gone for five minutes! What happened here?” Luna asked, exasperated. Luna, the oldest girl in the Fleur family, had went to go get some food for the small fort she and her siblings had built. But now, all she saw was her youngest sister, Fayette, curled up in a ball and sleeping, Rini, the middle child, yelling at their eldest and only brother, Sirius, and Lacey, the other middle child, sewing a dress for her plush. Oh, did she mention the fort was in chaos?
“Nothing!” Lacey, Rini, and Sirius yelled. Fayette stirred in her sleep, and fluttered her eyes open. “Oh! You’re back!” “Yeah.” Luna sighed, narrowing her eyes and putting a hand on her hip, then placed the Ribbonpuffs she brought on a pillow. “Now, tell me what happened.” “Y’know, for the sibling younger than me, you have an weird obsession with taking control,” Sirius said.
“Because if I don’t take charge, who is? I know for sure you aren’t,” Luna replied, crossing her arms. “Now, who’s going to explain?” Fayette glanced at Rini and Sirius, and Lacey glanced at them too. “Hey, it’s not my fault,” Sirius said. “Then who’s was it?” Rini snipped. “Because it was you who started it!” “No, I didn’t.” Sirius said angrily. “Yes, you did!” Rini insisted. “See, this is why people think I’m the oldest,” Luna sighed. Fayette sat up, watching her older siblings. “Why are you staring at them like they owe you Bundreams?” Lacey asked, plopping down next to her. “Oh, it’s nothing,” Fayette replied, playing with the Balletusa that was in her lap’s ear.
“You sure?” Lacey inquired, staring at the pearl necklace that delicately wrapped around Fayette’s neck. “Hey, where did you get that?” Fayette flushed, and smiled forcefully. “Mother got it for me,” “Mother doesn’t own any pearls,” Lacey said. “Hmm, well, maybe I found it. I don’t remember.” Fayette responded, playing with the ribbon wrapped around her lamb white pigtail.
“Okay, so, are we good?” Luna asked, as she finally got Rini and Sirius to stop fighting. “Yes.” Both siblings begrudgingly replied. “Now, let’s rebuild the fort,” Lacey sighed, flicking a milky white lock of hair off her shoulder.
It won’t take long,” Luna said, a smile playing on her lips. She waved her hands, and slowly rebuilt the fort, this time even bigger. “I keep forgetting you have telekinesis,” Fayette breathed, staring at the fort in awe. “I think we all do, but!” Rini said, flying up with her fairy wings, “we need to add something,” She pulled out a baby pink teddy bear, placed it ever so softly on the top of the fort, and flew back down.
“I was kind of expecting it to fall.” Fayette snickered. “Why would it fall?” Rini asked, her eyebrows furrowed. “Please don’t jinx it,” Sirius sighed. “Oh please, I rebuilt it, I get to say that,” Luna replied. “Look, why are we fighting over who gets to say ‘please don’t jinx it?’ Its stupid. You’re gonna jinx it if you even talk about it!” Lacey said, crossing her arms. “Why are we fighting again?” Fayette inquired, looking up at her older siblings. “Not sure,” Rini replied.
“So uh..what do we do now?” Lacey asked. “I know!” Rini exclaimed, and ran into the fort. She quickly ran back out, and hit Sirius on the head with a cotton pillow. “Hey!” Sirius huffed, grabbing a pink teddy bear and throwing it at her face. She barely dodged, picked up the teddy bear, and threw it back at Sirius.
Luna giggled, and threw a lacy pillow at Lacey. “Wha—“ Lacey said, then got a mouth full of pillow. She furrowed her eyebrows, picked up a pearl pink stuffed bunny, and threw it at Luna’s head.
As Fayette’s siblings had their pillow fight—pillow war?—she couldn’t remember anymore—she smiled. It felt nice to just feel young, not deal with their mothers impossible expectations and the pressure of being crowned, what else was there that they had to deal with again? She didn’t remember, but all she remembered was it was BAD.
What we’re their rumors called again? The Dollhouse Murders? Ohh, now she was starting to remember. But just as the screws in Fayette’s head were turning into place, she heard a familiar melodic voice gently call her name. “Hey, Fayette!”
Fayette blinked, and then she saw the pink-haired girl in front of her, looking down at the fairy magic swirling in Fayette’s palm. She ever so softly took Fayette’s hands, making the magic in Fayette’s palm vanish, but the flush in her cheeks whenever she noticed the pink-haired girl didn’t do the same.
“What were you doing?” She asked, her lips pursed in a tight line. “Its nothing, Cherrycake,” Fayette giggled, using her thumbs to stroke Rosemary’s knuckles. “I was just trying to find some more stuff on the Dollhouse Murders,” “Ohh,” Rosemary said, nodding. “Hey, now that I think about it, I’ve never heard of that rumor.”
“Maybe its not in the books in the library,” Fayette guessed. “I thought you said that the library had every book needed when I need it!” “Hmm, maybe someone’s using them all?” Fayette suggested.
Actually, there was no one using the books on the Dollhouse Murders. Fayette kept trying to throw them out, but they just kept reappearing. She wasn’t going to let Rosemary find out about secrets she didn’t need to know about, it was dangerous. She saw what happened the last time she did it. Never again. Ever. No Rosemary was going to get herself killed anymore.
Maiden Starlight sighed as she walked into the room. “I’m gonna warn you right now, this stuff can get intense.” “I know,” Fauna replied. “But, if I’m gonna be apart of the Six Mythical, don’t you think that I need to start taking risks?” “Also,” Melody chimed in, “didn’t you say you hated Fauna~? Why worry so much if you didn’t like her~?”
“Please shut up, I’m not above of giving you a black eye.” Maiden Starlight grumbled. “Alright, alright.” Cassidy said, urging both girls slightly away from each other. “Let’s stop fighting, shall we? Wait, where’s Estella?” “Right here..” Estella mumbled in her quiet voice, appearing right behind the group. “You should go in front, it’s safer,” Alice said, gently urging Estella next to Angelita. “What are we doing anyway?” Angelita asked. “I’m pretty sure that it’s the Haze Of Memories,” Cassidy said, then looked to her leader for confirmation. Maiden Starlight nodded.
“‘Haze Of Memories?’” Fauna echoed. “It’s basically this thing where you see the memories that give you trauma and sadness..” Estella explained softly. “Soooo, remind me why we’re doing this again?” Fauna said. “To try and find who made this,” Maiden Starlight replied.
“Okay..” Fauna murmured. “Wait! How about one of us thinks of a memory? That’s probably the way to find the entrance, right?” “You think that’s the gonna help? That’s the wor—“ Maiden Starlight began, but Melody interrupted her. “Yeah!” “But..who’s gonna think of the memory?”
All seven girls looked at each other, and Maiden Starlight sighed quietly. “I’ll do it,” “Are you sure?” Fauna asked. “Yes,” she replied.
All girls watched as Maiden Starlight’s face twisted and untwisted as Alice went through her mind, probably trying to agree on a memory. Both girls nodded, then Alice let go of Maiden Starlight’s hands, and her eyes stopped glowing. “Now we wait.” Maiden Starlight said while flying up in the air, signaled for them to grab their weapons, (except Melody, since she said since she’s a siren she didn’t need it) then grabbed the knife she always used that was hidden in her petticoat, and the others grabbed theirs.
All the girls huddled together, waiting, until they heard a child’s laughter. “Who is it?” Angelita asked Fauna, since she was the one facing the direction the child’s giggle came from. “It’s Aphrodite!” The child giggled. “Aphrodite..” Maiden Starlight turned even paler. “Astraea!” Aphrodite called, running up to Maiden Starlight. “Hey, when did you get so tall? And who are they?” “Aphrodite..” Maiden Starlight whispered. “Why do you keep saying my name so sadly? And why are you crying?” Aphrodite asked.
Now that Fauna thought about it, Aphrodite and Maiden Starlight looked..similar. They both had cream colored hair and Hello Dolly colored doe eyes, plus the fact that they both were angels, literally, not metaphorically. The only few differences was Aphrodite’s hair was in two high ponytails, she was wearing a pink nightgown, and she was holding a Sanrio Cappuccino plush.
Maiden Starlight brushed away small tears. “Aphrodite, I need you to answer me carefully. We’re you always here?” “No, I was with you!” Aphrodite said. Maiden Starlight nodded, then moved closer to the group. “What now?” “Now we figure out how to make her disappear,” Cassidy replied. “Wait! I have a question.” Fauna said. “What is it?” Maiden Starlight said. “What is scary about this memory?” “…my sister died in this.”
Aphrodite furrowed her eyebrows, and stepped closer, ignoring her sister. “What do you mean ‘disappear?’” Maiden Starlight blinked away tears, and nodded at Melody and Cassidy. Melody cleared her throat, and started singing whimsical, soft melodies. Cassidy quickly joined her while slowly grabbing the perfume she brought, and started singing an angelic, lovely song.
Aphrodite got cornered in their song, but still whispered at the pink chandelier, “light.” The light grew the size of a rose, and yet it made the chandelier fall with a loud plop, causing the room to light up in flames. They all started coughing and hacking, yet she smiled and ran around in the moonlight colored fire. “Aphrodite!” Maiden Starlight yelled, trying to reach out for her sister. The younger girl tilted her head, looked at the flames, and pointed at Estella and Fauna. The flames surrounded the girls like a fairy circle, and both girls screamed.
Fauna started growing flowers to stop the fire, and Estella scooped the two up on a baby pink crescent, and together they went to looking for the others. Fauna grew a dreamrose in her palm. “Eat this,” “No!” Estella squeaked. “You’ll need it!” Fauna furrowed her eyebrows, Estella squeaked, but still ate the dreamrose, and she fell asleep.
“Starlight!” Fauna yelled, looking at the girl who looked like she was about to be in tears. She jumped off the moon, and scooped up Maiden Starlight. “Wha—“ Maiden Starlight began, but Fauna had already placed her on a large pink rose with Angelita and Alice, Angelita had healed both their wounds, and boosted them with Estella.
Melody was trying to extinguish the fire with her water, but it was almost like she was hesitant. “What are you doing?” Cassidy asked, healing Melody’s fire burn. “I’m gonna drown this place if I do anything else with the water!” Melody screamed. Cassidy’s face twisted pitifully, and she ran to Melody, boosting Fauna up on pink light.
Cassidy hummed sugary melodies, causing Melody’s face to soften, and she drowned the place in water.
A few hours later, they all woke up. “Did she escape?” Maiden Starlight asked. “No,” Fauna whispered. They stood over Aphrodite’s body, her body twisted and a pink frilly dagger in her heart. Cassidy snaps her fingers, it disappeared. Maiden Starlight brushed away more tears, but jumped on top of Fauna, wrapping her up in a hug.
“Oooh~!” Alice snickered. “Shut up..” Maiden Starlight murmured, burying her face in the rose of Fauna’s neck. Fauna blushed and grumbled about something stupid, but was still glad they were all safe. For now.
Angelita walked down her daycare’s halls, immediately wanting to go up to her dorm. She swiftly opened her door, and pressed her body against the door while slowly sliding down. She caught her crying, blotchy face in her heart-shaped mirror, and looked closely. Angelita had two pigtails and they were light azure, with Hime bangs. She had lacy pink doe eyes, with long white eyelashes and pink stardust. She had pale skin, and soft pink cheeks. She was in her daycare’s uniform, Milky Feather, and it was baby pink. She had a pink Strawberry Patch headbow, Wonder Cookie bangle, and a pastel mint Toybox Shy Bear necklace. But the most magical thing about her was her angel wings. Why was she crying, you may ask? She just saw her dead best friend pass her in the hall.
You see, Angelita and her best friend, Lacey, had went to the carousel together. The two had been extremely excited, since the daycare never really..did much to keep the children happy. The angels had quickly gotten permission to use it, but then Lacey realized how high in the air it was. Angelita couldn’t blame her, they had said that it was fifty feet up in the air. “Are you sure we should go on there? We can’t fly that good.” Lacey said quietly, twirling her curly hair with her finger. “It’ll be fine!” Angelita giggled, practically shaking with excitement. “It’ll be good for the plot, Y’know?” “What does that even mean?” “I don’t know, I heard one of the nurses say it once,” “Ohhhhhhhh,” The two grinned, and went off to go cause some chaos. That was until they had heard there names being called. It was finally there turn.
“Eeek!” Angelita squealed, climbing up the pastel stairs to the carousel. “I’m scared,” Lacey whispered, tucking her white Lyrical Bunny in her dress pocket. “What if we fall?” “We won’t fall!” Angelita whispered back, then gestured to her wings. “Plus, we have these, remember?” “But we haven’t even gotten lessons to fly yet!” “It doesn’t matter! Do you think the first fairy or angel got lessons to fly? We learn on our own!” Lacey whimpered, but still took Angelita’s hand and let her tug her on the carousel. “Which one do you wanna go on, Lacey?” Lacey looked around, and pointed to two pastel mint horses with baby pink manes. Angelita beamed, and climbed aboard the carousel horse.
She looked at Lacey expectingly, and Lacey sighed, she sounded terrified. She gingerly climbed on the horse, and held on to her Lyrical Bunny tightly. “Are you ready?” Angelita whispered. Lacey shook her head vigorously, but it was too late. The ride had just started.
The ride was much more aggressive than normal carousels, like spinning faster than lightning and twirling the carousel horses until the children were barely hanging on for dear life. “I want to get off!” Lacey whispered desperately after almost being dropped by the carousel horse after spinning quickly. “It’s only a few more minutes! Please?” Angelita begged, giggling when the horse pranced after Lacey’s. “Its gonna be super lonely without you!” “But Angelita!” Lacey said, tears prickling the corners of her eyes. “This is scaring me,”
“Come on! Don’t be a crybaby, Lacey!” Angelita giggled. “You know they bully you about this already,” Lacey whimpered and frowned, but still buried her face in the horse’s fluffy mane and kept herself steady whenever the horse was lifted higher than the carousel. There was screams and shouts of both excitement and fear on the carousel, until the shouts quieted down whenever Lacey’s horse was still lifted high in the air. “What’s happening?!” Angelita screamed. “I don’t know!” Another child said. “How do we get her down?!” All of the children started panicking, desperately trying to figure out a way to safely get Lacey down.
They all exchanged ideas and all seemed hopeless, until they all realized there was one more idea that had a fifty percent chance of guaranteeing Lacey’s survival. She would have to jump. When they told the idea to her, she squeaked and flailed, obviously despising the idea. “You have wings! You need to fly, Lacey!” Angelita screamed. Lacey let tears stream down her cheeks, but still, she loosened her death grip on the horse, let herself go limp, like a marionette cut from her strings, and she fell.
She screamed and thrashed as her wings fluttered ever so slowly, and all the children we’re panicking. “GRAB HER WITH YOUR THORNS!” “TRY AND CATCH HER WITH THOSE STARS!” “I CAN GROW A ROSE BED!” But none of them would work in time, and angels only had so much time until they couldn’t even heal. “NO!” Angelita screamed, tears falling swiftly. She raised her hands and tried to make a healing circle to trap Lacey in, but it was too late. Lacey fell to the ground with an extremely loud plop, and again, she went limp like a marionette cut from strings.
Angelita screamed so loudly goddesses must’ve heard her, but she didn’t care. She sobbed and thrashed, already seeing the blood soaking up Lacey’s uniform as her doe eyes went dull. “Lacey!” Angelita shouted, her face blotchy. All of the children were screaming now, all staring at Lacey’s dead body. This was all her fault. If she hadn’t manipulated Lacey into going on the carousel this never would have happened. She would’ve seen Lacey’s serene face smile at her again. Lacey was dead. Her sweet, sensitive, innocent best friend was deceased. All because of Angelita’s selfish actions.
“Lacey..” she whispered. She watched as they were all told to forget about it, and watched Lacey’s body get carried to her coffin.
Then, it happened. She had been silently walking to her next class, until she bumped into someone. “Sorry.” She helped the girl up, and something seemed awfully familiar about her curly hair, big eyes, and serene beauty. But suddenly, it clicked for both of them. “Lacey?” “Angelita?”
“I think I just met the happiest person in the world!” Cassidy said. Cassidy had short baby pink hair, it was usually braided into two pigtails, and she had Hime bangs. Her eyes were peony pink and doe-like, with cotton white eyelashes and pink stardust. She had pale skin, and she had adorable magical girl makeup on her face. She had two pink ribbon decorating the sides of her head as well. She was wearing Dreamy Negliee, as that was the angel uniform and it was baby pink, a petticoat, white ruffled socks, and baby pink chunky Mary Janes. But the thing was, she was an angel, wings fluttered softly on her back.
You see, Cassidy was a freshman in high school, Angeldoll Academy. She had just been walking to harp class until a girl came up to her. Cassidy practically towered the girl, but then again, the girl was a fairy. She had long crepe pink curls with Hime bangs, baby pink ribbon gently wrapping around her bangs like corset lacing. She had taffy doe eyes, with baby blue eyelashes and pink sprinkles. But the thing was, she had a bandage on one of them, it was lacy white with frills and ruffles with a My Melody print decorating the corners, probably trying to make it look cuter. She had sweet makeup on, her makeup making her look like a cupcake. She was was wearing Honey Cake and it was baby pink, a petticoat, a Strawberry-Chan bangle, and Chocolat-Chan going out earmuffs. But the things most magical about her was her pink fairy wings and pointy ears.
“Excuse me,” The fairy said excitedly, her doe-like eyes twinkling with excitement, “do you know where the baking class is?” A wide smile was spread across her face, and Cassidy couldn’t help wondering why she was so joyful. Her grin widened even more. “I’m just really excited, and i don’t wanna be late!” There was something about her big cute grin, her doe-like excited eyes, and the way she was jumping up and down with excitement. She must’ve been the happiest person in the world. “Oh, yeah, its on the thirtieth floor, on the eighth door.” “Thanks, Cassidy!” The fairy beamed. She must’ve caught on to her slip up, because she covered her mouth with two delicate hands. “Its fine,” Cassidy smiled softly. “What’s your name, anyway?” “Oh! My name is Fawn!” Fawn said proudly, her doe taffy eyes twinkling with pride.
“Are you new?” Cassidy asked. Fawns grin faltered. “Oh, yeah,” “So where’s your guide?” “He sorta left after I had showed him something on my face.” She murmured, her gaze drooping with disappointment. “What was it?” Cassidy inquired. “I don’t want to show it,” Fawn mumbled. “I won’t be creeped out, I promise.” Fawn’s bottom lip quivered, but she still slowly removed the frilly bandage. Under it was plenty of slightly pink scars, each looking like they were made from a knife. “The angels could heal them, but they couldn’t fully get rid of the scars,” Fawn whispered. But all of a sudden, her cheerful mood sprang up. “Eh, its fine though! I kind of like wearing the bandage, it makes me look cuter!”
Cassidy could tell that she was trying to cheer herself up, so she gladly played along, even though she did mean it when she said, “You look adorable, with or without the bandage.” Flush creeped up to Fawn’s cheeks, reaching for the tips of her ears. Her doe eyes widened slightly as she smiled brightly. “Really?” “Really,” Cassidy said, smiling. Fawn smiled back, her smile brighter than the sun. “Thank you!” “Now, I kinda need to get to harp class,” Cassidy giggled. “Oh, and by the way,” Cassidy beamed down at her. “Would you like to be friends?” Fawn’s eyes twinkled with excitement, and she nodded vigorously. “Yeah!” Cassidy gave a tinkling laugh, and both of them went to their classes.
“Well, Fawn sounds great!” Her classmate said. “I know! Which is why…we’re going on a date today.” Cassidy said. “YOU’RE WHAT?!”
My name is Estelle Asteria. I’m eleven years old. If you find this diary, do NOT get distracted by its lace and its pink color or its bunny characters. This book is enchanted, and if you find this diary, you will be too. If you ever find this in perhaps your bedroom or kitchen, do not even open it. That’s how I got stuck in this horrible but exciting mess.
As you can see, I’ve obviously found this diary, thus why you are now just hearing about it. I had just came back from school and was getting ready to take a nice nap after my EXTREMELY stressful exams. I had just scooped up my Sanrio stuffed animal, Mocha, and was about to hop into my bed until I saw it. The diary. It was lacy and frilly, baby pink, with cute little bunnies decorating it. Of course of my stupid curiosity, I opened it. I do not know why, but it was like something just possessed me and demanded me to open it, so I obeyed. In there was a BUNCH of entries, at least I figured they were, and each one had a tiny description of a spell and a small card, probably illustrating it. Again, of my STUPID curiosity, I tried to repeat one of the spells.
I don’t remember which spell it was, but im pretty sure that it was called “Guardian.” Apparently it was supposed to protect you from the “Other Side of the Mirror” by making something magical about you glow, but the downside was that you needed to imagine your worst fear, then get over it. At first I was rolling my eyes and scoffing. “Did mom and dad really think that id like this kind of stuff?” I asked myself aloud, looked around my bedroom like I was trying to find someone who could have evidence of me, and then squealed and jumped around like a maniac. The truth is, im OBSESSED with magical stuff. Heck, in fact, I’ve watched every magical girl or any magical anime that was cute. I got ready, and then I tried to repeat the spell.
I concentrated really hard, but for some reason I just..didn’t feel anything. “Ugh!” I slammed my face face first into my cotton blanket, startling my bunny, Sweetheart. “Why won’t it work?” I wailed. The book flipped to a different page suddenly, and I let out a shriek in shock and snatched up Sweetheart in a panic, in case I’d have to run away. I peeked at the book gingerly, and let out a choked sigh. Well, the sigh quickly turned into a gasp as I noticed the book had skipped pages after all. I gently put Sweetheart down on my bed and grabbed the diary, and cocked my head to get a better look.
“Hello there again, dear mortal, I’m assuming you’ve came back for another spell? Ah, I do not blame you. Well, I suppose its time I share the spell that you will be learning about today. I’m pretty sure that you mortals can do it, but its mostly aimed for fairies. The spell is called ‘Petal.’ As we all know, fairies are usually known for their dedication to nature, and frills and pink, but that’s every single mythical creature in Wonderland, so that doesn’t matter right now. To preform the spell you will need a rose petal, a cup of milk, a pastry, although fairies tend top prefer strawberry pound cake, and a harp. This spell will grant you any fairy’s protection, you will just need to listen carefully. First, do not, I repeat, do NOT give in to the voices you hear while you preform this spell. I do not care if they’re the most adorable girls with frills and lace and ruffles and the most delicious cupcake offerings you’ve ever tasted, that’s DEFINITELY a big no. Haven’t you heard of the Other Side of the Mirror? Second off, you must play ‘Faerie Soirée’ by Melanie Martinez on the harp. Do NOT forget that. Third step, you must dress very cute, repeat ‘Desire’ and your desired outfit will be in your hands. And lastly, spray your house in sweet scents, like vanilla cupcakes or strawberry pound cake. Good luck, mortal.”
I had obviously panicked, but still, I took a soft breathe and repeated what the book ordered. “Desire,” All of a sudden, something frilly and soft as cotton gently fell in my hands. I looked down, and a dress, Cake Appliqué, was patiently waiting in my hands. It also so happened to be my favorite color, baby pink, and my favorite dress from the Angelic Pretty collection. There was also two pink strawberry hair bands in my right palm. I sighed, and gently set the dress on my bed. My hair was to my forearms, so my ponytails were mini, and I also brushed out my bangs. I slipped on the dress, and I spent a few minutes just staring at myself. I looked so pretty. I snapped out of my hypnosis, and quickly went to go grab what I needed.
I ran to my garden, and grabbed one pink rose petal, it softly danced in the wind so much I needed to trap it under my left palm. Luckily, my mom had just bought some honey and strawberry pound cake, so I was good there. I quickly poured milk into a tall cup, and set all three down on the kitchen counter. I then grumbled loudly, as I had just realized I didn’t have a harp. “What do I do?” I said angrily. All of a sudden, the diary was right next to me, and it was turned to a different page.
“By the way, dear mortals that are reading my diary right now, if you don’t have a harp, just repeat the word ‘Harp’ and it should pop up.”
I said, “Harp.” A white harp appeared next to me, and I was finally ready.
