Laughter echoed around the room

And time stopped

I saw you, head thrown back with joy

And man, right then and there I lost my heart

I was yours from that one moment

Whether, you or I knew it

Fate knew, and brought us together

And my love, since then

you have only made my life better

Three kids later, in a house of our own

My love, you’re all I want

From that moment when we were but eighteen

Our life together has been a dream

From dancing at our wedding to watching tv

Every memory, is nothing short of gold to me

Today your hair is white, and there are deep wrinkles

When you laugh

And though I can’t express in words, I know we share something,

Some spark

And so on this day, 70 years since then,

The story of our life

Our quarrels and strife

Come to an end as you are buried

I feel no sadness love,

Because to me you’ll always be alive

If not in spirit than in heart

My love with peace,

Depart

I will love you in the next lifetime,

and till then wait for me

And every time I sleep,

I’ll know that you are beside me,

If not physically,

Then in my dreams
