Not Just Another Walk In The Park

Picking up sticks,

Tripping over stones,

Dodging your words,

Like only you would know…

Crunching leaves beneath my feet,

Basking in the summer heat,

Hiding from you behind the trees,

Because you tear into me at every seam…

Yes it’s true the weathers fair,

But your hands were only kind

When they brushed away my hair

So now I only feel safe in the outdoor air…

Maybe my fate was sealed with a kiss,

Maybe I was always bound to be treated like this…

Maybe now that I’m out I can run for my life,

And set my sights up to the sky…
