Spring

Gravel crunches under Anna’s hiking boots as she traverse a worn path through the forest. A softly bubbling stream of water trickles alongside the trail, eternally carving its own path as the water level ebbs and flows with each season. With the snow freshly melted in the warm spring sunlight, the stream is as close as ever to the footpath.

Anna freezes as she spots a deer sipping quietly from the stream, with a new baby at her side. The smell of budding flowers in the trees envelops Anna’s senses. This is her favorite time of year.
