A seed was dropped inside my heart

And before I could even realize,

Its growth began to start

The seed bloomed a flower,

Which grew with every passing hour

Every stolen glance

Every single “hi”

Puts me into a trance

As I go to sleep

And dream of a future

A future of you and me

It’s childish

Nothing but a crush

But man what that seed has become

It’s thriving on nothing but my delirious self

On nothing but conversations with my friends

I overthought every interaction

Every touch of skin

Whether it was purposeful

Or simply an accident

And there’s a small thrill

That comes with this feeling

Small butterflies that creep up

Alongside a pink blush
