What do we know about time?

Time is relative.

Time is running out.

Running short,

slipping through our fingers.

Time is a constant.

Time is a continuum.

Time is a construct of the mind.

A human invention.

Time is a cage.

Measured in seconds, hours, days, years.

Time is closing in.

It suffocates.

It squeezes.

A deadly vice, cracking your ribs.

Compressing your lungs.

Time is running short. Running out, while being the oldest thing known to man.

Time wastes away and we a take it for granted.

But what is time really?

When we strip it to the bone,

Pull at the heart strings.

Really tear into it with bared teeth.

A prison? Or an escape?

A ticking bomb? Or a gift?

A punishment? Or a comfort?

It depends on who you ask.
