A secret I wasn’t willing to tell,

Behind my mask…my face fell.

I was told to show,

Who I was, what I know,

I told myself they would grow into liking me.

They said I would be free.

But all I am is trapped now they know who I am,

I would have ran,

A man with an identity,

Is a man trapped within a mould,

Of self doubt, and self pity,

They frowned at me,

They told me, “Since you’re a superhero, you must be bold.”

I shook my head.
