Toddlers

The last week was a living room demolished by a toddler.

On Sunday, the tyke used his toy box to create a minefield of legos.

Monday, he used chocolate as the medium of a wall mural. It was abstract art.

Tuesday came and left like a consistent threat. The living room floor was clean, but he lingered, ran back and forth, and then crashed on the couch, “Boom!”

Wednesday played off by the consistent hum of Mary Had A Little Lamb for several hours before he decided that Old McDonald Had A Farm was far superior. That lasted the rest of the day.

Thursday, he found that plushies made fantastic flooring. He laid with them, chewing on their tags and fighting off anyone who dared remove his toys.

Friday, nothing was right. Nothing fit

his whims, and tantrums were his choice of the day, followed by kicking the front door on repeat.

And on Saturday, he decided to learn a new trick. Turning door knobs. The front door was open, he left a diaper on the living room floor, and we found him yelling on the neighbor’s lawn.

This week was a toddler’s wonderland.
