Literal and Metaphorical
Awakening, from a slumber deep
As the morning light begins to seep
Into the corners of my mind
I feel my consciousness unwind
The world around me, suddenly clear
Colors bright, and sounds so near
No longer trapped in a dream
My soul begins to truly gleam
With each breath, I come alive
No longer afraid to strive
For goals and dreams that were kept at bay
I now have the courage to walk my way
The dew on the grass, the chirping of birds
Nature's symphony, my soul it stirs
I spread my arms, and feel the air
Whispering secrets, without a care
An awakening, both literal and metaphorical
A rebirth, a chance to soar
Leaving behind the old and mundane
I break free and begin to explore again
My mind, my heart, they're open wide
No longer content to just reside
In the safety of what I know
I let go, and let my spirit grow
An awakening, a new beginning
My soul and I, forever grinning
At the possibilities that lie ahead
As we embrace the awakening
No longer in our head
