POEM STARTER

Submitted by Oddity

Write a poem or short story about someone who lives alone in a bubble.

This could be real or metaphorical.

Girl In The Bubble

(Messy, but I was like…. I should prolly post some thing)

The girl in the bubble,

Withdrawn and taken away,

Hiding and so very scared,

Begging you, please stay.

I know you can not choose,

I know you don’t want to leave,

It’s so much harder for you,

But that’s hard to believe.

Don’t know if you’ll be there,

Death will take you, this I know,

In her cold, unloving hands,

I don’t know how to grow.

Won’t be there if I ever,

Find someone to marry me,

Or have a baby to teach,

Maybe you will be free.

Finally.

But you want to be here.

But you can’t, battling it,

Something truely impossible,

But you still try, just sit.

Thank you for stepping up,

When he fell through once again,

Thank you for being my dad,

And a really good friend.

I’ll miss you,

That’s much is true.

I can not stop it this time

I’ll be forced to move on,

without you.

The girl in the bubble,

one inconvenience away from breaking, popping.

Pushing away from others,

each breath pushing me away.

It hurts,

but I feel like they don’t care.

They’ve said things,

horrible things,

That show how truly convoluted they are.

But I love you enough to smother all of their hatred.

Kick cancers ass dad✊💪
