Light And Darkness
I wake in the warmth of the sun, excited and gleaming with joy.
Today I get to see him, Kieran.
I grab the morning light bag and fill it with as much light as possible and then whisk away on my wings, flying to the darkness of Earth.
Dawn is in mere minutes and I make it just in time to slowly unbag the light.
As time goes by, the light will grow brighter until it eventually dies in the evening.
“Already here to make my shadows disappear,” Kieran said, stepping beside me with a smirk.
“Your shadows have roamed on Earth all night. It’s morning now; time for light,” I said, smiling at him.
The light in the sky grows brighter, casting Kieran in a golden glow.
I smile as he walks closer a kisses my cheek.
“You are my light,” he said.
“And you are my darkness,” I replied.
