Cold Tension

Standing in the bathroom, I was cleaning my knife off. I took a deep breath, feeling the tension leave my body as I felt the remorse take its weight away from my soul. I knew I didn't care about those impeccable people. They were nothing to me, only another pawn dying in life's cycle. This all felt similar to a game for me. They would beg and beg me not to hurt them as if they could control what I did. I could always see it in their eyes when I laughed and swung. They always wanted to control or change the outcome of their death like they could. I thought of them all below me, just pawns in my game I could manipulate for my pleasure. I watched the blood run of my knife from the water, it pleased me seeing the sweet innocent blood of someone just roll off of what killed them and no one would even know. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, seeing my soft hazel eyes, ones that would never belong to a killer. My lips curled into a smile from the amount of pleasure seeping through my body. This was what I used to my advantage. My charm to people and my soft eyes that looked like it held millions of untold stories and pardise. I thought everyone was an idiot if they believed what my eyes told them. Everyone was gullible in my mind. They just believed everything I said. Idiots, all of them! I thought to myself when just then I heard myself laugh. I looked towards my reflection in the mirror. My thoughts swarmed like bees in a beehive. I hated everyone. I hated it when I saw anyone smile. I wanted to cut their smiles from their face and make them feel the pain they deserve. Everyone was a brainless animal that just needed to be put down. My mind went blank as I was wiping the knife off. When my mind came back, I saw the blood trickling down my hands and knuckles. It was the result of the now shattered mirror in front me. I laughed hysterically as I saw the blood fall to the ground. I felt my body shake as I helplessly laughed. I couldn't take it. I wanted everything to stop. I closed my eyes tightly as my hand repeatedly banged my head to make it stop. I banged my head so hard that my vision went black, causing me to land hard on the floor with a thump and the knife hitting me right in my side.
