WRITING OBSTACLE

Demonstrate. Incapacitate. Solidify.

In a story of no more than 10 sentences, use these three words in any order. The point is to create a story line that allows you to link them all naturally, without forcing them into random places.

Patsy the Patriot

I lay there on the table, aching everywhere, but not knowing how to trace the origin. As I come to, I hear a masculine voice, "As you can see, we incapacitate the subject, but not completely. I'll demonstrate the next phase after we engage with the subject."

The blurred subject moves closer to me, but my eyes are too hazy to make out any detail beyond the grainy sound of his voice and the gray on his head. "Can you hear me? If you can hear me, blink twice."

I blink, I think, and scan the room for anything that could help me determine where I am.

"Gentlemen, what you're about to witness will solidify intravenous chemical warfare as a mainstay of our administration. Start the countdown."
