He waits, in my closet. I try to tell them, but nobody listens to me. He’s still there, waiting. Every night I go to bed, and every night I hear him whisper singing.
“Kyle, Kyle goes to bed. Cannot wait til he is dead. Kyle, Kyle fast asleep. Soon his body I will eat.”
It has been a week, I can’t get his words out of my head. I look at my Mommy, it’s now nine. “Kyle, bed time!”
“But I don’t want to go to bed, the man with no eyes is waiting for me in my closet!” I pleaded, I’m only eight!
She was firm, “Now, Kyle! There is no man in your closet!”
I quietly head up to bed, terrified. As I go to lay down, I see him, he’s smiling as he sings. “Kyle, Kyle only eight. His body is in a perfect state. Kyle, Kyle sealed your fate. No longer time to wait.”
The next day, his mother went to wake Kyle, only to find a blood stained, empty bed. She could hear a faint voice, singing. “Kyle, Kyle took his life. Slit his throat with a knife. Kyle, Kyle so tasty. Did not go to wasty.”
Elias was the prince of werewolves. Kind, caring, lovely to be around, he was everything anyone could ever dream of.
Callisto was the prince of vampires. He was curious about the world, wanted to do what was right, and be absolutely loved everything.
The two met when they were twelve and eleven. Both were suspicious, yet curious, about the other. Their species hated each other, they had both been warned to stay away. To vampires, werewolves were brutes that smelled like wet dogs. To werewolves, vampires were selfish bloodsuckers who would kill them in an instant.
As the two stared at each other, their curiosity grew. They approached each other, walking circles around the other. While Elias perceived Callisto as a threat, Callisto was curious about this possible friend. Once they had ensured their safety, they decided to talk things out. It wasn’t long until they were best friends, and as the years went by, they became lovers.
They went on many dates, sent many letters, and made the best of memories. Each day alive was filled with happiness and comfort.
One day, they passed away. The two died in each other’s arms. Their love, however, did not die with them. It lived on in the hearts of those who knew them.
It wasn’t supposed to be this way. He was supposed to come home. He was supposed to be there when I fell in love, when I married. He was supposed to become the king after Dad. My brother, Salipher, was supposed to be here.
He told us he was being stalked. That he needed protection. We all thought he was insane, we doubted him. Oh how wrong we were.
He was gone now, and there was nothing any of us could do. My big brother is gone, possibly dead, and I can’t even be there to tell him I loved him.
Salipher was kind, caring, and he’d do anything for me. I told him about Elias, and he was so…happy. He thought I just made a friend, I didn’t have time to explain that Elias was my lover.
I wish I had.
It’s been a year, Elias is on death row now, and I have nobody to help me. Nobody to comfort me. I can’t do this alone. I just…can’t.
I miss my Eli and my big brother. I miss them dearly.
A life without you Is no life at all It is filled with sorrow With grief With hatred With fear
You make me happy You fill a void I love you, my friend You taught me so much You help others to understand To feel empathy You are kind Beautiful Wonderful
The world is very lucky to have you I love you
I made a mistake when I fell in love with the prince of wolves. His name is Elias, and he is a werewolf. Handsome, caring, and kind, there is nothing I’d ask him to change. He, himself, wasn’t the mistake.
His species was.
My name is Callisto, and I am the prince of vampires. Our species do not get along, falling in love is forbidden.
My dear Elias sits on death row, and I can’t do anything to stop it.
We met ten years ago today, in a beautiful meadow. We were twelve and eleven, he’s the older one. We laughed, we played, and we had fun together in that meadow. He always told me that he would take me away from this place, to live freely. We had planned to run away and live out our lives, and now that will never happen.
It hurts to think of him now. I am the reason he was captured and I will be the reason he is slain.
“Your majesty, it’s time.” My guard told me, gulping. If looks could kill, the glare I gave him would have destroyed him.
I silently head to the door, hoping to spare my love from the torture they would surely give him. “I am going to see him one last time.” I tell the guard, “I wish to have ten minutes with him, we are not to be disturbed.” I watched as the timid guard nodded, then I left to the dungeons.
I frown as I reach his cell, he looked so cold and weak. The guards let me in, I rushed to his side and knelt down. I gazed into my lovers eyes and gave him a soft smile. We shared a kiss, then I broke into tears.
“Hush my love.” Elias whispered to me as he gently touched my cheek, “My beautiful Callisto, it will be okay. I love you.”
“This is all my fault.” I cried, “I wish we never met.”
Elias kissed my forehead, “Then my world be filled with nothing but darkness. You are my sunshine, do not let them win.”
I laid down, resting my head against his chest. “Eli, love, I-“ I looked up at him, “I have a way to be together forever, it would be painless and quicker than what they would do.”
He looked at me, sadness in his eyes. He nodded softly, then stroked my cheek. “I wanted you to live your life.”
“What is a life without your soulmate?” I asked him, then removed two small vials from my pocket. “I love you.”
Elias took one of the vials, he smiled a bit. “I love you as well my Calli.”
We drank the poison together and laid down, letting it do its job.
Five minutes before Elias was to be executed, a guard entered the cell. His eyes widened when he saw the two laying there. Elias and Callisto had died in each other’s arms. The lovers were finally at peace.
