It’s 2025 now but I wish it wasn’t I miss last year not the end but the middle when everything was good and in place I miss happiness and laughter on the first day of 7 th grade I miss the war between my group and the boys for “the best table” during lunch I miss the friendships that I lost I want them back most of all I miss having less drama I miss having easy classes I miss having no anxiety I miss the teachers who taught me how to live life to the fullest I miss the dreams I once had that have flown away over time I miss being excited for snow and going to the mall on are days off I miss the time we all cared about each other and would do anything for them I miss the hours we spent on call for no reason I miss the hangouts and sleepovers we had I miss when I could make friends so easily But when that ball dropped and the clock hit twelve I knew all these memories were behind me and I had to grow up and make new ones
Under the sky, our words wove wonders, Jealous boys brood in silent spite, Best friend's ex, his presence plunders, I find delight in our dialogue's light.
Six hours slip in seamless speech, Boys' bitterness barely masked, His eyes hold truths they cannot reach, In every conversation, I'm unasked.
Infinite insights ignite our night, Jealous jests just shadows cast, My heart hears harmony in his light, Past pains dissolve as we converse fast.
Bound by bonds beyond their grasping gaze, Boys' bewildered by this simple sight, Exchanges endless under starlit haze, With him, my soul takes flight.
I like to watch sunsets When all the colors mixed perfectly together and makes a beautiful soft glow but it always seems that the prettiest hour leads to terrible nights Shadows of people I once knew are now just anxiety and fright The whispers in my ear slowly turn in to screaming fear I sit and cry as the sun goes down I wait and wait for someone to ease my frown Memories that were once golden and new are now just rusted and bruised I like to watch sunsets but some make me think “am I the problem, is it me?”
