Up from the ground She grew and flourished Eventually she found The light that nourished
She opened up Slowly until She became a beautiful tulip That danced in the wind
So softly she swayed To the rhythm around Slowly she played Her own little sound
She stayed up all spring And danced everyday But she knew summer would bring Too much heat for her to stay
So slowly she went Right back into the ground She made the descent Back into her mound
Now we have to wait For next spring to arrive So she’ll take the bait And we can watch our little flower jive
Don’t look down Don’t look behind You will be more scared Then the first time
Your greatest fear Your largest lie Will creep right back If you give it time
Climb that wall Straight up to the sky Don’t give up Don’t comply
This fear of heights Restricts your life Brings you down Confines your mind
Don’t let it win Don’t let it decide This is your show Run your own life
You loved like a flame Fierce and bright You loved like the rain Constant and sound
You loved me so deeply I’ll never understand Now I am shallow Without you holding my hand
You loved me so fiercely Steadfast and passionate You loved me until I burned Now you are left with my ashes
You loved like a hurricane Intense and ungiving You loved like a breeze Gently and soft
You left so abruptly Without any cares You left me trembling With no one to help me stand
You left my world Denied me your love So you will never ever Burn me again
No more thoughts That fill my mind No more people To tell me what’s right
No more family No more friends To help me through To hold my hand
How could I leave All that I know How could I go Without saying goodbye
Why would I follow This dream of mine If it meant I had to leave them behind
No more mornings Sleeping in with you No long walks Watching the sky fade from pink to blue
I know this Is what I was meant to do Even if it means Giving up you
Trading one thing For another Obtaining my dream But losing a lover
Memory breaths Memory chimes Like a clock on the wall That remembers the time
Memory sees Memory forgets Yours and my past And all it’s regrets
Memory feels Memory decides To do what is wrong Or to do what is right
Memory soars Memory flies Like all the birds That dance in the sky
Memory lives Memory dies Like all of us Living our lives
But it is your choice Not memory’s nor mine Decide your fate Make your memory wise
