Up from the ground She grew and flourished Eventually she found The light that nourished She opened up Slowly until She became a beautiful tulip That danced in the wind So softly she swayed To the rhythm around Slowly she played Her own little sound She stayed up all spring And danced everyday But she knew summer would bring Too much heat for her to stay So slowly she went Right back into the ground She made the descent Back into her mound Now we have to wait For next spring to arrive So she’ll take the bait And we can watch our little flower jive
