You feel the hair on your arms rise Goosebumps consume your entire body with time Suddenly, your eyes burst open Heart pounding, you’re in a panic You listen, but no words are spoken Now, you’re feeling manic
You try to move but your strapped to a bed Assessing that something is also tied down to your head Eyes still wide open and there’s not an ounce of light Silence in the dark, and a mystery of the night The whimpering starts up as you wonder how and why
Why can’t your remember what placed you here or who Were you kidnapped? Are you missing a shoe?
What happened to our love ? What happened to us? The raindrops that were my storm, are all dried up into the norm And where are you now? Still confused, asking myself, how? How? How did I let this fall apart? Why couldn’t it be the same like from the start? why couldn’t we understand it? Why did we leave our hearts more damaged? The sky, full of stars seem dead and cold. We just live the lives that we told. We got lost in who we are, but the distance we had found us from afar You found yourself while you broke me, you thought you could hide it, but I had to set you free I didn’t need any proof of the heartbreak I felt , everything you said, after was a horrible fairytale A place once so magical now hurt to behold, when it was so warm but now it’s deathly cold.
Have you any remorse? Have you any guilt? Do you truly care about how you made me feel? About the knife that you took to my back , the same knife, my heart felt attacked I know I was never perfect and I had many flaws but anytime you needed me. I answered your call. Now the clouds rolling in dark as can be. Wondering what’s next for you and me…. It hurts to see you still move on, while I’m sitting here, wishing you were not gone. I never thought that I would love such an amazing man, someone to wish I was his number one fan But they say things happen for a purpose, we just end up lost because we want someone to love us.
But did you know the sky full of stars is dead and cold? Did you know it was a place once so magical now it hurts to behold.
