I remember walking on the beach with my girl. The sand lapped at our toes making us content with its warmth. We were taking in all the noises of the waves crashing on the jagged shore, the gulls calling over their newest feat, and gentle crabs swaying to their own positive vibe.
We didn’t think too much of it. We were exploring and came across it. It was a Victorian grand piano. We didn’t know how it got there or why it was there. The sides were carved with beautiful vines and trees. The previous owner had not treated it very well. It’s keys are decrepit and overgrown with mold.
Was this piano in the middle of the ocean? Our minds go a little mad thinking of what this instrument might have gone through. We consider all possibilities.
The biggest surprise comes when we open it up. We gingerly open it. A large shark greets us, its newest meal in its teeth. It greets us with its terrifying smile. That was before the colors of the beautiful sunset were extinguished.
Beyond the maps, where the legends dwell, I ventured into the unknown I took a plunge into a deep dark cave The sea creatures greet me with their inquisitive faces The dampness of my clothes Pulls me under My mouth gets as wide as my eyes Treasure and lots of it I’m going to be rich There’s just one problem How am I going to get it up
I saw a poster Of a little girl Blonde hair The kind that forms waves effortlessly Blue eyes As blue as the sky Freckles From too much fun in the sun She looked about eight or nine I never thought too much about it Until she showed up at my door And said in a hushed tone “Please you have to help me” “I am in trouble”
Peter’s mother told him not to wander out of her sight One day Peter saw a butterfly Dancing Enchanting Enticing him with it’s smile spread on it’s back Peter snuck out of the house to inspect it further He went way out in the field Until he could not see the house anymore While he was running his foot catches on uneven ground He falls and fills the air with silent screams The last thing he remembered was hearing a loud snap As the world went dark
