It was the middle of the day. The principal put on announcements and said , “There was a person who stayed after lunch and picked up the trash on the ground. That person seems to be….Victor Gray! Please come down to the office to get your reward.” I was shocked and I know I didn’t clean up trash after lunch. People turned their gaze towards me and Josh raised his eyebrows. Josh is my best friend and he said, “I know you did not pick up that trash. Do you know who actually did?” “Nope and I’m not going to find out. I’m just not going to go to the office,” I said.
His POV
And he continued on his day and didn’t go to the office. I’m surprised he didn’t, he doesn’t seem to be that nice. But anyway I’m grateful that he didn’t.
Part 2
I walked off the steps and opened the note and it said, “I love you so much Mauricio. I want you to never forget that. I am moving and going to a different school that is unlike anything you have heard. You can get into a school like this and I would see you every now and then but not the way you would think. I am sorry I could not tell you this in person. I am going to miss you so much. If you wish to join the school that I’m talking about, then go to Moon Street in Valarea. I am breaking up with you so you don’t have to feel the pain anymore. I will always love you.
Love you to the moon and back, Elm”
I felt broken, hopeless, and distraught. I can’t believe she would leave me. It feels like my heart has been ripped out and crushed. But I long to be near her. She makes me feel at peace whenever my thoughts aren’t right. I need to be with her because I am so obsessed with her. My eyes started watering and my feet ran along the ground to my house. Mom opened the door and saw me.
“Honey come here, what happened”, she said as she wrapped her arm around my back. I said, “ Elm is going to a different school and she wants me to go to one close to it. It’s on Moon Street in Valarea. She said I would see her every now and then. Can I please move over there so I can go to the school?” She looked at my father and said, “ I don’t know why not.” I gave her a hug and said, “thank you, thank you, thankkk youuu!” My suitcase got packed and I put it in the car. I opened the door and got in and put on my seatbelt. My parents got in and we drove off to the school called Red.
We pulled into the parking lot and I said, “I forgot to go online to sign up”. My dad laughed and said, “Don’t worry kiddo, we already did that for you.” I leaned up front and hugged both of them, “I love you both.” Mom and dad both said at the same moment, “love you too kid, see you later.” I stepped out of the car and grabbed my suitcase making sure I grabbed my phone. The automatic door opened and I stepped inside the school. There was a statue inside that was a beautiful girl holding a dagger and smiling like she just won a battle. The name on it read Echo Ruiz. Elm broke up with me so I can date anyone I want now but I’m still in love with her. I rang the bell to the office and the door clicked open. The person at the front desk handed me my schedule and sent me to my homeroom in room 127. I knocked on the door and the teacher opened the door. “Class this is Mauricio, you can sit next to Echo.” She raised her hand to show where she was and I realized it was the gorgeous girl in the statue. Her long blond hair is braided going over her shoulder. She had black fingerless gloves on and a black T-shirt with black leggings. Everyone seemed to want to talk to her. I think she is one of the popular kids. I put my stuff on the table and sat down. She pointed at me with her white acrylic nails and said, “are you here because you wanted to move schools or is it because you know what happens here?” I said, “I came because I wanted to move schools. Why do you want to know?” She laughed, “I want to know because you are going to love what we do here, min kjærlighet.” The boys looked at her shocked and some girls smirked so I asked, “ what did you say?” She said, “you don’t need to now yet but anyways show me your schedule to see if I get to show you around the school.” I handed her my schedule and she smiled, “your stuck with me for the rest of the day in the classes. You have no clue what this school is actually for but you will find out in the last two classes.” She handed me my paper and started talking to some girls.
Please comment for part 2. Have a great night everyone.
I rested my head on her shoulder and sighed,”We should watch the sunsets more often, star.” She looked down at me, eyes sparkling, “remember why you call me star?”
I read through my memories, “It was the first sunset we both saw together. We both headed to the beach at night to stargaze and I saw you reading a book. The beach was empty but I didn’t want you to be alone so I sat near you. You looked up from your book and waved to me so I asked what the book was about. The page flipped and you showed me the beautiful constellations. Surprisingly we both came there at the same time and you said stars were your favorite thing”.
Her mellifluous voice captivated me, “I will always remember that time. Never forget those amazing moments.” I looked at her with admiration that she could be so blithe when we never know if something is going to pop up. Her brown hair is long, wavy, and luscious. She has freckles sprinkled on her have like brown sprinkles. Her white hoodie and loose black leggings make her look pulchritudinous. We brought our gaze to the sky and looked at the comely moon. I laid back in the grass and put my arm down so she could rest her head. She laid down and looked at the sky. It was very placid and calming looking for new stars. She got a notification and sat up to look at her phone.
She looked at me with a sad smile and says, “The sunset is beautiful isn’t it?” She handed me a piece of folded paper and I became worried about her. Her eyes seemed to be on the verge of tears and I just realized her mascara is smudged unlike normal. She stood up and ran off back to her house. Her phone was still there so I started running towards the house. I wonder why she was sad. Why did she ask me to not forget those amazing moments? Why did she ask if I thought the sunset was beautiful? I walked up the steps and knocked on the door.
Elm answered the door and wrapped her arms around my neck saying, “I love you so much, never forget that please.” Her eyes were squeezed shut and she started balling. She sprinted to her room and her mom walked up, “I’m sorry Mauricio, but read the paper and all your questions will be answered.” She held out her hand for Elm’s phone so I gave it to her. I walked off the steps and opened the note…
You get to decide what happens next unless you put a comment saying you want more of the story. Have a good night everyone.
