I tell myself ten pills is to many I take nine instead I lay for eight minutes I feel the head rush in seven I cry for six minutes I laugh for five I can’t breath, I just need four minutes I can’t think it’s only been three minutes I cant see it’s been two minutes I’m not here, one more moment this could’ve been solved.
One and two, from me to you. Three and four, slamming the door. Five and six, just stones and sticks. Seven and eight, fighting heartache. Nine and ten... alone again.
Eleven and twelve, deeper I delve. Thirteen, fourteen, a sorrowful scene. Fifteen, sixteen jealousy between - Seventeen, eighteen, an obscene queen. Nineteen, twenty... forever empty.
It was one night. Two friends, hand in hand, staring out over the crumbling world from the rooftop which they were perched. Three hours left until the world they had always known came to an end. Four words spoken: “So, this is it. “ Five seconds of pure silence. Six words came from the second friend: “I’m going to miss all this.” Seven minutes pass. Eight minutes. Nine. Ten. Tick, tock. Eleven minutes remaining before the world’s destruction. Twelve words, six from each friend: “I’m going to miss you, too.”
Twelve was the last number before darkness consumed the Earth. And the world went silent.
Tick, tock.
I always had thought that you were the one But then you went and met those two The three of you together, you left me in the dust Four years Nearly five, now that I think about it You left to join the six I guess now there are seven “popular” kids After however long, eight days, eight months, eight years Don’t come crying back to me, because you lied to me for nine Just now, I can list ten times you were toxic Eleven times you made me doubt myself Twelve times you showed your true colors And the thirteenth time, when I finally did something about it We met the day before you turned fourteen I guess that doesn’t matter now, you started distancing yourself at fifteen After sixteen months of crying myself to sleep, I’m going to stand up to you I may only be seventeen, but I’m going to do this Eighteen tries Nineteen tries Twenty tries Twenty one tries, I’ll just keep trying Twenty two tries, you can break me down, but I’ll get you back Twenty three tries, you won’t like it Twenty four tries, but you’ll have to deal with it And now, on the twenty fifth try, I’ll finally cut you off
