Walking towards the edge of the cliff surrounded by clouds unable to see the ground underneath, leaving a luminous path behind my every step. An endless stream of water falls on one end of the earthy cloud I stand on, the stream ends dispersing into clouds. The stars shine bright as the sunâs modesty dims its light behind the colossal moon leaving a beautiful rosy sky. As the moon hugs its beautiful steaming friend feeling her heat he emits her shine illuminating becoming radiant. The bashful sun grants the blossoms freedom to radiate their inner glow, exuding small glints of light emulating the stars above. Not one shadow in sight as nature is constantly being caressed by her rays never fully gone, the moon gives her time fill the sky with her essence and never takes away her light.
In a realm where the sky glowed a soft violet, streaked with threads of silver light, constellations swirled like brushstrokes on an unseen canvas, shimmering with the essence of countless stories. Two figures found themselves within the confines of a vast, empty chamber, its sheer scale exaggerated by the infinite horizon that lay beyond. The walls, slick and iridescent, pulsed with an ethereal luminescence that seemed to breathe, casting vibrant reflections that danced like specters across their features, merging light and shadow in an enchanting embrace.
Beneath their feet, strange symbols spiraled across the floor, shifting and flowing as if alive, crafting an ever-changing path of forgotten languages that hinted at ancient secrets. Each glyph resonated with a low hum, sending waves of energy that tingled through their bodies, igniting an untamed curiosity within them. Above, the ceiling rippled like the surface of a tranquil sea, mirroring the celestial display outside, while tendrils of luminous mist curled down, wrapping gently around them, as if eager to share whispered knowledge.
A chorus of distant echoes reverberated softly around them, a symphony of laughter and sorrow intertwined in the air, evoking memories of fleeting moments and dreams unclaimed. The atmosphere was thick with possibilities, heavy with anticipation, as if the very essence of this chamber held the power to unlock hidden truths. As they stood bewildered, their senses ignited and heightened, they began to truly grasp that this was no ordinary space; it was a threshold, a nexus between realms that defied the very nature of time and existence, beckoning them to explore the mysteries that lay hidden in these uncharted depthsâmysteries that could change the fabric of their realities forever.
Even though the first one was the first I thought of you I thought it would make sense for me and you and your mom and I were both in a different state of shock because we both have been in the past couple weeks but we have had some really good conversations about the same things that happened in our lives and we have had so many conversations and I feel so bad about that I donât want you guys being upset or anything like I donât want you and you donât know that but Iâm not gonna feel upset and upset because you guys have to talk to each otherâs and Iâm
In the vast canvas of the cosmos, where stars are born and galaxies dance in silent symphonies, the Stellar Drift glided gracefully. Its hull, a tapestry of comet scars and nebula kisses, whispered tales of its timeless voyage. Inside their humble vessel,, the soft hum of the engine resonated like a heartbeat, a gentle reminder of life amidst the celestial quiet.
Octavia's fingers danced over the control panel, a ballet of switches and buttons that only she could choreograph. Beside her, Iridessa watched, her eyes reflecting the starlight that filtered through the viewport. They spoke in the silent language of shared glances and half-smiles, a conversation more intimate than words could ever capture.
The air was rich with the aroma of synthesized jasmine â Iridessa's favorite â which mingled seamlessly with the scent of ozone from the ship's shields. It was a fragrance unique to their world, a signature of their sanctuary among the stars. Octavia would often tease that the jasmine was too potent, but the truth was, it reminded her of their first encounter on the fragrant moon of Zephyria.
"Look, babe," Iridessa's voice was a soft melody, barely above the whisper of cosmic winds. "The Andromeda is in full bloom tonight." She pointed towards the galaxy that stretched across the viewport, its spiral arms unfurling like petals in the dark garden of space.
Octavia joined her at the glass, their shoulders brushing in quiet solidarity. "It's beautiful," she agreed, her voice tinged with the awe that never faded, no matter how many wonders they witnessed. Together, they stood, two souls adrift in the infinite, their love as boundless as the universe itself.
Octavia's gaze lingered on the celestial display before them, but it was Iridessa's reflection in the glass that truly captivated her. "Do you remember the night we named that small star cluster?" she asked, her voice a hushed reverence for their shared memory.
Iridessa's lips curved into a tender smile, her hand finding Octavia's amidst the console's glow. "How could I forget? We called it 'The Lovers' Sanctuary,'" she replied, her thumb gently caressing Octavia's hand. "It was the night the universe conspired to align our destinies."
A soft chuckle escaped Octavia as she turned to face Iridessa, their eyes locking in a silent promise. "Youâre so corny! â But youâre right, my love. I think the universe knew what it was doing," she whispered, the warmth in her eyes speaking volumes of the love and history they shared.
Iridessa leaned closer, her breath mingling with Octavia's. "Indeed,ââ she agreed softly. ââYou are my constant, my gravity that keeps me grounded amidst the stars."
Their shared laughter was a quiet symphony, harmonizing with the ship's steady thrum. It was in these moments, surrounded by the infinite, that their love felt truest,, a force as timeless and enduring as the cosmos itself.
My chest is tight and my breath is heavy as I sprint across the wooden branches of the Willow. My legs ache and beg me to stop, but I know I cannot. I have to keep going-have to reach my village and warn the others before itâs too late. Iâm so close, and yet so far. My village is just beyond the Willow Grove, in the Pine forest at the center of the island. My feet smack against the wood as I run, and I begin counting the steps to distract my mind from the exhaustion- âone, two, threeâŚâ. I get to 23 when the branches run out. I leap from the branch, spread my wings and allow the wind to carry me to the next tree. For a moment, I consider flying all the way home, but I canât risk being discovered. Who knows what is lurking about these Willows. After all I have seen today, I canât even dare to imagine. I must remain unseen. So I land as gracefully as my tired legs will let me on the nearest branch of the Willow, and begin running again. The leaves hang around my like a curtain, shielding me from prying eyes, but also hiding my path. Navigating through these trees is more difficult than I had imagined-nothing like the familiar pine needles of my home. Home. How much further now? I should be nearing the edge of the Grove, maybe 2 or three more trees. My legs ache at the though of running across that many branches. Then I must fly across the meadow that separates the Willow Grove from the Pine Forest, without being seen of Course. My palms sweat with anticipation of the journey. Nerves start to take over, but I push them down ânoâ I tell myself âI cannot panic now. There is too much at stake. My entire village is depending on meâ
Itâs been three days since I left home. Three days since my Father called upon me to join him in his journey. Three days since the Faries of the Pine Forest lined the branches to see us off-waiving flags of pine needles and grass, chanting their well-wishes as we set out towards the shore. We set out to search for a group of gatherers that never returned from an expedition to the sea. We had hoped to find them laying on the shore, enjoying the shadeless sun that the coast offers- but all we found was disaster. Now I must warn my people. I NEED to get to them before the humans do. I need to warn them about whatâs out there, lurking on the shore.
I wipe away the tears that have fallen onto my cheek. I hadnât realized they were there, but when I wipe them away, the green meadow up ahead becomes clear. Iâm here. Iâve made it to the edge of the Grove. I pick up speed, my sore legs pushing as hard as they can off of the sturdy branches beneath me. I can feel the wind that Iâve created, blowing back my hair and rustling my skirts. As I come to the edg of the branch I spread out my wings and leap, catching the wind and gliding across the meadow. I glide for a moment, resting my tired legs and basking in the breeze-but I know I must hurry. I must fly. Out here in the open, I am not safe. I am so exhausted, it takes all of my effort to keep my wings going. Once again, I count each flap- âone, two, threeâŚâ until my legs finally reach the safe, sturdy branches of the Pine. Home. Once again, I run.
Prologue: Part 3
A few moments later, Andromeda, Roman, and Genesis were on the sidewalk of 4th Avenue in the strange place called âBrooklynâ. Odd vehicles raced by. People with strange clothes walked past Andromeda with startled expressions.
The Queen had never been to the mortal world called âEarthâ before.
âWhat a strange placeâ, noted Andromeda. Then she heard a child crying. She glanced to her side to see Genesis, traumatized by all of the noise.
Andromeda snapped out of her thoughts and reminded her self of the mission; find the family Harmona had told her about.
Just then, a man walked up to Andromeda.
âUmm, maâam?â, the man asked, startled,âWhat are you wearing?â
Andromeda, unaware of how she was dressed, looked down to examine her outfit. She was wearing sandals made from the hide of a Chingora and white robes, lace with yellow flowers.
âWhere I come fromâ, stated Andromeda ,âthis is completely normal. But never mind that. Can you help me find the, ummâŚRodreguz residence?â The gentleman pointed to a nice brick building behind them.
âThank you kind sirâ, she said politely. Then she picked up Genesis and marched towards the fine home.
But before she knocked on the door, she set Roman in the bushes underneath the window. She would find a good family for him later.
Andromeda was once again about to knock, but stopped herself. If she left Genesis with her memories, Scarlett would be able to find her before she was grown up. So Andromeda placed her on the ground, place her hand on Genesisâ forehead, and mutter Fa-ov.
With that, Genesisâ eyes changed from ocean blue to green. Then she fell back into the bushes.
âGods I hate that spellâ, murmured Andromeda. The Queen picked the child back up and knocked on the door.
A few minutes later, a Hispanic couple in their early twenties answered the door.
âUh, helloâ, the man said nervously ,âCan we help you?â
âYes you canâ, replied Andromeda ,âDo you know a Harmona and Cole Amaro?â The couple gave each other a nervous glance.
âUmm, yesâ, said the woman ,âThey came by a couple of weeks ago asking if they could take care of our childâ.
âDo you think I can come inâ, asked the Queen.
âYes, I supposeâ, responded the husband, opening the door wider. Andromeda slid past the couple and trotted into the house
Once Andromeda was led to the living room, the couple started to relax.
âPlease sitâ, offered the wife ,âWould you like coffee or tea?â
âUmm, no thank youâ, Andromeda declined. The woman nodded, then sat down on the couch next her husband. Andromeda took the chair closest to the sofa.
âSoâ, prompted the gentleman ,âwho are you exactly?â
âI am Queen Andromeda of Alexandriaâ, Andromeda said boldly ,âand this child is in grave dangerâ. Then Andromeda explained the prophecy, how Genesisâ aunt will be looking for her, and how they need to guard her with their life. By the time she was done, the coupleâs jaws were on the floor.
âSo what your telling usâ, confirmed the man ,âis that this child is going to grow up and kill her aunt? And we have to protect her?â
âYesâ, replied Andromeda ,âAnd a new name would hurtâ.
âIâve always liked the name Halainaâ, responded the woman rather quickly.
âHalaina it isâ, Andromeda said ,âAnd one more thing. I can protect this house for 5 or 6 years with a spell, but thatâs all I can doâ.
âWhy canât you protect us longerâ, asked the man ,âYouâve got tot be pretty powerfulâ. The Queen grimaced.
âMy power has itâs limitâ, replied Andromeda, handing over Genesis. Before Andromeda left, she walked back over to the sleeping child.
âUntil we meet again my young heroâ, whispered the Queen ,âYouâre going to change the world somedayâ. And with that, the Queen was gone.
Prologue: Part 2
Black light followed Andromedaâs retreat up the stairs. At the end of the hallway, giggling drowned out the noise. Andromeda rushed into the room to find 3 black haired children wrestling on the floor.
A terrifying scream came from downstairs. All of the children gazed up at Andromeda with puzzled expressions.
Quickly, Andromeda grabbed 8 year old Lanaâs hand and led her to the closest.
âWhatâs happeningâ, Lana asked, fear flooding her eyes. Another scream echoed up to the girls room.
âNothingâ, Andromeda soothed, opening the closet door ,âWeâre just playing hide and seek. Iâm giving you a head startâ.
Lana, suspicious of the situation, was reluctant to get in the closet.
âOkayâ, sighed the Queen ,âGuess we have to do this the hard wayâ. Putting her hand on Lanaâs forehead, Andromeda muttered the spell Fa-ov, forget. Lanaâs eyes went from deep gray to sage green. A moment later, she stumbled back into the closet.
Andromeda quickly closed the closet door, then turned back to Genesis and Roman, who had continued their wrestling match.
Just then, Andromeda heard steps from outside the room. The Queen rushed to the door, locking so that the psychopath couldnât get in. Andromeda then scooped up Roman into her arms.
Knocking rang out from the door. Andromeda knew she didnât have much time.
âCho zlun rie huvuaâ, recited Andromeda ,âcdx siura lx yian heacâ. A moment later, a dark green portal appeared above the three. The Queen opened the parchment that her friend had given her. The content of the scroll face the name of an odd place.
More knocking came from the door. Andromeda knew that now was the time to leave.
âBrooklyn, New Yorkâ, Andromeda said, shaking. A few moments later, young Genesis began to rise off the floor.
All of a sudden, the bedroom door came crashing down. Outside stood the person Andromeda hated the most in all of Alexandria. A grin seeped onto Andromedaâs face.
âYour to late, Scarlettâ, sneered Andromeda. And with that, the trio was swept into the portal, off to the mortal world.
Prologue
In the capitol city, an eerie feeling hung over. Maybe it was the storm. Or it could be the funeral tomorrow for the late King Shervan. Yes, those are all good reasons for a depressing mood.
But there was also despair arising at the far end of the city. For at the far end of the mighty capitol of Alexandria, lived the Amaroâs.
Everyone knew the Amaroâs. For their dark power? Yes. For their prophecy? No.
âAndromeda, are you sure about this?â, pleaded Harmona Amaro.
The Queen of the mighty civilization grimaced.
âHarmonaâ, Andromeda said sorrowfully ,âWe donât have a choice. I know how bad the circumstance is, but both Lana and Genesis canât goâ.
Now, Cole Amaro had a deep respect for his Queen, but was not about to hand one of daughters over to her.
âShe wouldnât stand a chance against you, Andromedaâ, reasoned Cole ,âWhy donât you just kill her so that way this prophecy will end.
âColeâ, sighed Andromeda ,âyou of all people know what happens when prophecies are interfered with. Only one of your daughters has the power to kill her. We must follow our instinctsâ.
âThere are no instinctsâ, Cole growled ,âGenesis will go. She could never survive a life with my insane sister-in-lawâ.
Harmona was about to reject her husbandâs plan, but she stopped herself. Deep down, she knew this was the right choice.
Before Harmona could go retrieve her youngest child, a fatal knock came from the door. Color drained from the trioâs faces.
âAndromedaâ, said Harmona, trembling ,âHide Lana, then take Roman and Genesis to the mortal world. Leave them at separate homes. Hereâs where you should take Genesisâ.
Harmona slid a piece of parchment into her Queenâs hand. Another knock came from the door.
âGo!â, cried Harmona. Shock from her paralyzed state, Andromeda rushed up the stairs.
