Waves crash and break Mouth peaking just above the surface The sea is black like the night Land is nowhere in sight There’s no raft, no life boat Only masks
Each of them a different face The millions I’ve dreamed up The many I’ve replaced Each slapping into the side of my body as I try to swim Yet there is no swimming It’s to far out

Chapter One: Festival
[Milo's point of view]
Fireworks cracked to life in the night sky. Basking the city in many different colors. Red, purple, yellow and white burst above. Cheers filled the air around the Fetherstone Park.
Stumbling through the narrow stone steps Milo couldn't take his eyes off the spectacular show. Tons of stairs sloped down between the favella houses. Focused on the spectacle he nearly tripped down a few cracked stairs. Blue exploding across the sky, neither moon in sight. Clear as day but black as night.
It was hardly his first rodeo for the blast colors but of course It would never curve the enthusiasm of the whole thing. Many a furson stood at the small alleyways or sat on their porches. Yet none of this was planned. Milo's mother would have surely spoke of a grand fireworks show.
Gravity Circuses were the usual culprit of this much attention. Bringing with them odd types and other outterworldly people. Sometimes some of the higher officials of the Owinal Republic came out to show themselves off.
This was no normal carnival or fair. For the first time since my birth, the Sky Games would be played here in Port Royal. Something that only happens every twenty years. Every three years it swaps between planets in the Horridel System.
Tonight the unveiling begins. Fireworks boomed through the skies over the Park. Yet down in the lower district we would only get to see them accend to the midlevel district.
All the daily events will be shown in the park on a huge screen. Everyone down here will be rooting for their favorite sport stars.
Hoping down the last few steps to the market place Milo got a good look at the crowds. Hundreds of different size, shape, and colored tails swisher from side to side. Fur of all lengths. Even people of a scaled variety. Something most of us were hardly accustomed too.
It was bustling, fursones crowed the sidewalks and even stood motionless in the streets all looking above the towering buildings at the blooming colors.
Of course Angel hadn't wanted to leave our small apartment. Seeing as he had some young lady tied to his waist I couldn't really blame him. "Boys will be boys" Mom always said.
Stalking through the crowd, nearing the marketplace center. Port Royal fountain stood high above onlookers heads. Spewing water in streams that flickered in many colors over the old rusted looking ship monument. Our cities great hero standing resolute at its helm.
"Milo hurry!" A familiar face shouted from a ways beside the fountain, next to a makeshift shelter.

Merchants brought goods from many different planets out to our ports. Of course none of the locals could afford such rare items. But we always enjoyed marveling over such things.
Crossing the side of the fountain, ducking past one of the few Port Royal police officers he'd been introduced to by mom. Thankful she'd been focused on a young feline couple asking for directions.
Finially he made it to where Katlyn shouted out. Except as he stood looking and sniffing around she was gone. "Ughhh" Milo huffed, scanning the crowd for his bright blue haired counterpart.
"Milo in here. Look what this guys selling"
Slipping in through the rough burlap curtain, gazing upon the item Katlyn pointed her outstretched claw at. Of course it wasn't the newest addition rocket board, but it couldn't be more then a few years old. If even that, only a single blemish streched the length of the board. A crack that could have broke the board in half.
"Good eye there. Great piece." The shifty feline merchant hissed. "Want to hear the story of how it got that scratch?" "Why not " Milo shrugged moving closer to a wide eyed smiling Katlyn.
Katlyn had been a close friend since the beginning of middle school. When instead of straight pearly white teeth and bluish fur, she'd had braces and no dye.
Now her large oval ocean blue irises, matched her bright aquamarine hair. Along with the tips of her ears, and end of her fluffy dog like tail. Her sheltered phase would be over. Boys alike are going to flock to her this year.
"It was a stormy night out in the Xea system. Planet Corson, I believe " The feline merchants eyes started to glow yellow in the dim lights. " Beautiful planet, but this storm was brutal. I was part of a team, hunting for Captain Black. Meanest most deadly pirate of this side of the galaxies. It was his board" "Captain black used a rocket board?" "It was always on his back as he traveled away from the Stargallion" The salesman crossed the room pulling off a few books and tossing them to the nearby table. "Captain Black took no prisoners and took all the things he wanted. Nobody stood in his way except us" "Come on Scraft. You can't honestly think these two level headed kids will believe that old tale?" A female voice called with a huff from the doorway.
The soft yet harsh voice was familiar, but we both hung to the counter waiting for the rest of his tale. Ignoring the soft brown eyes that hung in the doorway.
"Scraft Sir. We want to hear more" "Alrighty then." The feline fumbled around for a second in his hood as if reaching for something. "We found him far away from the Stargallion. Amongst the black clouds and lightning, above the pouring rain." "What's the stargallion?" "This boy doesn't know what the stargallion is?" His yellow eyes peaked away behind us with a glint. "Only the fastest,most incredible, pirate war ship in the galaxies" "Wow" "Fitted with plasma cannons that could rip a hole in any sort of metal. Its helm was said to have been built out of the void itself" "What happened next?" Katlyn cooed. "We went after the ruffian of course. Only a handful of cloud speeders. Zipping in and out flashes that lit up the skies" Tossing his arms up he slammed them to the countertop. "Till he zagged when he should have zipped. Rolling on the board he just missed getting struck point blank by one of the flashes. This board here took the blunt of the damage.." "An old Captain Black was gone for good" The familiar female voice spoke again and I whipped around. "Lost to the clouds and a perminate part of the void" "Mom?" I questioned, getting a good look at her blue and black police uniform. "Old Captain black could hardly handle the winds, let alone the strikes of lightning." She spoke proudly, a smile on her face as she ruffled my hair. "Wait you know that story?" Katlyn had turned, leaning on the counter with her tail and back. "She was there. This board we found miles away, tucked against a rocky outcroft, hiding from the ruff surf" The feline continued, brushing it off with an old cloth. "Can I have it??" I chimed in and the old feline started to laugh. "Do you know what this goes for boy? The last item of Captain Black..." "No...." I mumbled and mom nudged me toward the door, signaling Katlyn to follow behind us. "Much to expensive for our tastes" Mom grumbled as we stepped back out on the loud market street.
Merchants had already started to take over the square. With the fireworks over, it had quieted down. Giving them the opportunity to call out their wares.
"I didn't know you were a cool spy" Katlyn giggled as we all brushed past people in the crowded streets. "It was a much younger me. At a time when Captain Black was wanted for killing a handful of men and escaping prison. But you two don't need to know any more of our tales." Mom gave us a wide grin as she sent us back toward the favillas we called home. " Go find your brother and tell him you both need to eat. School starts tomorrow. You wouldn't want to be to bed without dinner" "Alright mom. What about you?" "I'll grab something at the station. If these crowds don't start to die down soon, I'll be out here all night" "Well be safe Mrs. Prints" Katlyn waved as mother got swallowed up by the crowd. "Ughhhh. Do we really have to deal with Angel and whatever girl he's got back at your place??" I couldn't help but laugh at her attitude as we climbed the narrow steps.
Heading away from the market district and up into the small shack like houses most folk lived in. Small street lights flickered as we climbed the main pathway. Passing other fursons who waved or just ignored us entirely.
"So just gonna ignore me then?" Katlyn protested. "I can hardly control what Angel does. Mom can't even stop him" "Maybe that's the problem. He thinks he can just do whatever he wants" "Probably" I shrugged, already used to his normal antics. "Its disgusting and heartless. Having so many girls come by on a daily basis" Katlyn huffed, nearly missing a step in her upset state. "Is that Miss Katlyn wishing she was old enough to be one of my girls?" Angel hung off the roof of our little hut, a giggling fox girl wrapped around his shirtless torso.
Once again he'd caught Katlyn speaking of him. Which only made her turn a bright red. Hardly a good color with her love of blue. She'd bash him, but even Mom knew of her crush on Angel. Ogling him at all times was a dead give away.
"Mom says get me food" I interrupted, hoping to spare my friend further embarasement, or fill my brothers ego anymore. "Well you just came up from the markets. Why didn't she just buy you something?" I just shrugged to his question as he playfully waved at Katlyn who'd probably been staring at his chest.
First rule of being my brother Angel, never wear a shirt when you can show off four rows of deep muscle. Second rule, always be a bum. Rule three, never listen to the rules.
Milo didn't hate him for being "gorgeous" as most of the girls around us spoke of him. Mostly he just wondered why it had totally skipped him. Of course yellow fur markings didn't help, but that was besides the point.
"Awww go feed your hungry brother. I'll wait for you at the marking rock." The fox girl gave us a wave as she hoped down just before their lips met. "You can have your kisses once you come see me"
With that the girl bounced away. Up towards the highest homes. Far away from where Milo and Katlyn had ever gone. Mom made it clear, the plains on the other side of the mountain; and the rich districts up past the station were off limits.
"You got a bit of drool right there" Angel rubbed his finger across the side of Katlyns face then started laughing hysterically. "Your terrible" She shouted, stomping off down the path. "Yet you always fall for it" Angel called after her. "Feisty little pup huh" Brother chuckled to himself. "I'm not a pup!" "How'd she even hear that?" He whispered as we followed her down, his eyes begging Milo for a explanation. "Must you start with her" he hissed, running a hand across the stone siding of a hut we passed. "All in good fun" "For you maybe" Milo snapped, unsure of why he'd gotten so anxious all of a sudden. "Does it bother you that much?" His eyes widened for a split second it felt as if he actually gave a crap. "Just stop pestering her about it. Not like its such a surprise." "You gotta stop whining and being in your feelings. Maybe that's why she likes me" Angels words were as harsh as ever, brotherly moment of understanding..... Totally gone.
"What's got his tongue??" Katlyn asked once we reached a small sandwich shop at the foot of the favilla. "Not a single thing" He laughed stepping in past her.
Of course Milo didn't even look at her. Just shuffled past her, behind him. Taking in the small corner store.
One group of shelves, a counter that crossed the whole floor. Where they fixed the sandwiches. A few sat ready for pick up. And the group of a handful of booths. Which Angel rushed towards an open one.
"Cold shoulder it is then" She mumbled just loud enough for him to catch as they passed. "So what do you two want?" Angel grumbled sliding into a nearby booth. "Nothing" Milo mumbled low enough to get a sideways glance from Angel. "Your eating. That's final." He scoffed, clearly annoyed. "Didn't waste the rest of my night so you could just not eat" "I'll just go home" Katlyn said, running her hand through her hair. "No just have fun guys. I'll go find something else to do" Without another word he was off the soft red cushion, sprinting out the door.
Huffing and puffing ,rushing up the favilla. Jumping clear over cracked steps or crumbled ones. Nearly face planting a handful of times. Running away from everything was just better then sitting and being slapped in the face and teased.
Out of breath when reaching the top. It was like nothing ever witnessed. Tall mountain height tree's, long since banished to make room for homes sat unscathed. Then as far as the eye could see, another range of mountains in the distance. Far beyond the lush amazing forest.
Only shown due to bright lights at the foot of its hills. Like nothing anyone could have drempt up, not in their wildest dreams.
Then it came. An ear splitting blast, rocking the footing straight out from under him. A rock caught his fall, well paws gripped it just in time.
Skyword a bright object entered our atmosphere. A fiery ball of smoke. Falling to fast to even have a chance at stopping it.
Sirens filled the air. Warning all of the imminent threat. Something was coming.

“Nessa and Izzy have been in there so long” Lily grumbled.
“Guess they found some things they liked” Nicky giggled.
“Or they not just changing” Cole laughed.
“Ok, enough. I don’t need to be privy to my younger sisters sex life.” Max grumbled, standing up and stretching a bit. “Didn’t you want to check out the book store?”
Lily nearly leaped off the benches following after Max. Who just waved as they started into the crowd. Cole just sighed and gave Nicky’s neck a cocky glance.
“Yeah, Casanova” She laughed. “Did all that and I didn’t even get to enjoy the best part” She whispered.
“Ohhh really. What’s that?” He played dumb and wrapped his arm around her.
“Gawd. Why is all this couple crap so cute with you?” She groaned. “This is totally not me anymore. You’ve turned me into some horny highschool love sick teenage girl.”
“I don’t hear any complaints” Cole snickered, and kissed her cheek.
“Enough of the cuteness” She growled at him in nothing more then a whisper. “If your not planning on dicking me down just say that”
“Ohhh is somebody upset” Cole laughed.
“Yessss I am upset. You did something nobodies ever done and then just haven’t touched me since” Nicky gave him a glare.
“Dear that was litterally yesterday” Cole mused, sliding his hand over to her back. “But if you need a release that bad”
“Ohhh now it’s only because I want it” Nicky grumbled. “Fine. Let’s go do something to get my mind off it then”
Without another word she was off the bench and heading into the crowd. It took Cole a few seconds before he even jumped up off the bench. “This girl.” He scowled chasing after her.
Max and Lily bumped elbows with so many people trying to fight through to the book store. Something about a new book going on sale. Of course it was another romance story so the line was mostly women. Once inside they just shuffled through the long line, dodging the few security people trying to keep the line intact and seperate from the normal traffic. Which they were failing miserably at.
“Lord. Do this many people need to be in line?” Max groaned, pushing out into the open with Lily holding his arm behind.
“Yes, actually” A sassy male voice called from where they’d just slipped past. “We’ve been waiting forever for this book.”
“What book?” Lily asked with a curious glance. “I’m looking for a few new books?”
“A few” Max chuckled. “You’ll probably end up with at least ten new ones”
“It’s a vampire love story between two girls. One is a vampire and the other is a human girl.” The sassy guy added.
“It’s better then twilight!!” A few of the girls behind him shouted.
“Well, thanks.” Lily gave them a quick wave and huddled back into Max’s arms. “Must be a good book. They seem to be a cult following.”
“For sure” Max grumbled holding her tight, headed toward the dark romance section.
“Do you really need to pee that bad?” Nicky just giggled pulling him straight towards the family bathroom.
“Yes. You can just turn around while I go” Nicky kept pulling him.
“I’ve literally had it in my mouth? And you want me to turn around”
“Shush. I don’t wanna be watched” Nicky stopped him just before the door. As a mother and two toddlers came bursting out. “But I also don’t want nobody trying to steal my man”
Cole giggled a bit rubbing his face. “So I’m your man now?”
“Just get in here” Nicky pulled him by the arm and closed the door. “Now face the door!”
With a grumble he just turned around and watched the grey door. Listening as she quickly undressed and sat down.
“Cover your ears!” She groaned and he did as she asked, shaking his head.
A few minutes went by and she had to have finished he thought. But he didn’t move until he felt an arm on his back. Going to turn around her hands pushed him to the door.
“I’m in charge now” She whispered into his ear, licking the edges.
“Is that right?” He questioned but didn’t turn around.
“Yes” She groaned, biting the top of his ear. Before he could react she had her hand into his shorts fishing around.
“Nicky come on” He tried to be mad but she’d gripped her mark.
“You sound mad” She coed. “You can’t be mad. Not when I’m servicing you like this” She continued to stroke it, freeing it completely as Cole groaned.
“People are gonna want to use this” He grumbled.
“Don’t you want to use this?” She giggled slyly pulling him around to unveil her nakedness. All her clothes were pilled on top of the changing table. There she stood, fully nude for the first time.
The stripes of darker colors running right to left across her body against her white milky skin made Cole grin. “My little tigress” He coed. She just turned around giving him a full view of her backside.

“Kar it’s been a while pretty. Heard you two found a nice little spot.” Aaron chuckled a bit, and stuck out his hand in a finger gun stance. Aiming it straight at Zaz chest as he stopped.
“Get away from them!” Zaz huffed, quickly motioning for the girls to get behind him.
“I wouldn’t cause a scene. Especially not in this day and age. Phones come out so quickly.” The man to the right chuckled.
“What do you want?” Madie questioned standing next to Zaz now, clearly out of breathe.
“I hadn’t realized how much I missed that voluptuous body of yours” Aaron stared at her, past undressing her with his eyes. He was Superman looking through her clothes, knowing what was underneath.
“Well keep missing it” Zaz growled, eyes completely locked in a death stare with the man who’d hardly glanced at him since the finger guns.
“Touch guy eh” The guy to the left laughed. “Probably a cool football player out of a small town”
“Your drowning and don’t even know it yet boy” Aaron spoke but didn’t take his eyes off Madie. “Madeline. I have thought about you every single day since your departure”
“You traded her away” Kar hissed. “For money. After you beat and abused her”
“Your not quite at the age where you should butt into grown folks business” The man to his right mumbled. “Maybe you should mind your tongue”
“I despise you Aaron….” Madie said hardly able to get the words out.
“Well that maybe the case. Yet here we are” Away with the finger gun and now spreading his arms wide in a yawn. “I tire of these games. Let’s go girls”
“They aren’t going anywhere with you” Zaz was nearly a pit bull foaming at the mouth, ready to strike at any second.
“That’s where your wrong” The left guy laughed. “You might have muscles and be able to fight in your pond back home boy. But this here is our part of the ocean and the sharks are ready to frenzie”
“What’s going on?” Cole’s voice called behind them but nobody turned.
The standoff was already set. Yet these three guys didn’t budge at all. Each of them nonchalantly standing there as if they controlled the world.
“You guys ok?” Nicky chimed in but seeing how startled Esme and Harley looked this wasn’t a good situation.
“Oh look. More of the merry bunch of popular kids” The guy on the right teased and did a little prissy prance.
“I know you don’t have anything. So just come with use and let these nice people go back to their lives” Aaron put his hand over his head for a second. “This is starting to bore me”
“Who are they” Zaz hissed under his breathe.
“Technically her ex and his goons” Kar answered from behind them. “They are trouble”
“Fight me then” Zaz challenged.
Aaron just sighed. “Your a wet behind the ears college boy. Get on with your vacation and act like you never seen the rift raft” The left guy warned.
“Zaz?” Max and Lily stepped out of the bookstore behind the goons.
“Oh great. More of them” The left one hissed.
“It matters not. People go missing all the time” The right guy added in but Max was stalking towards them, tossing the two bags at Lilly.
“Fighting would draw a crowd kid. Cops. Your pretty little friends here would be sent back southward” A gleaming smile crossed his features. “Your up this time though. Way to many people here to witness the events.” Aaron raised his right hand again, pointing a single finger gun at him.
“See we aren’t without mercy” The right man laughed and his black rotten teeth showed.
“You have ninety seconds to run and hide. A head start. When we find you though” He just made a shooting noise with his mouth like a cap gun, cocking his fingers back for each shot. “I’d get going if I were you. Madie. I’ll have you face down soon enough” An evil chuckled sent chills across her body.
“Tick, tick” The right guy said looking at his skin like a watch was present.
Esme; Harley, and Kar started to head towards Max when the guy on the right took three big steps between them. Reaching into his armless jean jacket, suggestively grasping at something.
“I told you that you two may leave” Aaron shook his head, starting over towards the three girls. “I never said I’d let them go”
“No, you can’t…” Nicky started but took a step forward and Cole quickly shielded her.
“I want you all to know I don’t make idle threats. So you should start moving” Aaron was standing in front of his new girls, as he reached out and slid his hand across Esme’s cheek. Thumb lightly grazing her lips. “Your the cutest of them all”
“Get your hands off my sister!” Nicky was fighting hard to get past Cole.
“This isn’t the place…” Cole was trying hard to reason with her. “We don’t know there’s guys…”
“I’d get going” The guy on the left shows them all away with a wave of their hands.
“Nice meeting you all” Aaron gave them a sly grin, walking the girls away.
“Your just going to let them go” Nicky was slamming her fists against Cole’s chest, as hard as she could.
“We don’t have a choice” Max’s head dropped as he looked at Zaz and Madie. “I told you this was a bad idea”
“We will get them back” Zaz started, but Nicky was now free. The slap echoed through the mall floors like a gunshot.
Madie didn’t even wince at the pain of it. Every part of her knowing it was her fault. And now two other innocent girls have been thrown into the fire with the lions.
Izzy and her were retreating out of the store with the newly acquired goods when the noise of a slap echoed across the floor above them. Across the middle gap they could see three sketchy looking men pushing the three girls away from everyone else. While the boys stood by and did nothing.
Nicky had just open palmed slapped Madie in the middle of the mall. Without even a wince from her.
“What is going on?” Izzy shouted as her and Nessa started around the bend. Pushing through the large pockets of people. Nearly knocking over a few groups that had been moving to slow.
“This is all your fault!” Nicky sobbed into Cole’s arms as he held her tightly. Trying not to cause to much more of a scene.
“I know….” Madie just looked over at Zaz. “We didn’t belong here…. You should have let us be…. Now he’s got Kar”
“And Harley” Lily added in, tucked away in Max’s arms.
“Don’t forget Esme” Nicky sobbed.
“What the hell just happened?” Nessa asked crazy eyed as her and Izzy leaped up the last flight of steps.
“We need to get out of here” Zaz interjected, starting to motion everyone near the entrance they had used.
“I’m not leaving without them” Nicky hissed straight at Madie.
“He won’t hurt them…. Not yet….” Madie couldn’t even look at anyone.
“How do you know that asshole!” Nessa howled, grabbing Madie by her arms and getting into her face. “We need to know all of it now”
“Nessa your gonna make it worse” Max was behind her now.
“What if it was Izzy….. What if it where Lily….” Nessa was turned around and squared up to Max. “If those girls get hurt….. if even a hair is out of place…. It’s on you two” She pointed at Zaz and Madie. Right before she stormed off towards the rv grabbing Nicky by her arm.
“This isn’t gonna end well” Zaz sighed.
“Maybe next time you’ll listen….” Max huffed and followed Izzy and Lily behind Nessa.
“What were we supposed to do?” Zaz was in Max’s face now. “We don’t know for sure but we aren’t stupid…. We seen the way they get used…. Seen what those kinds of people do to pretty girls….”
“Zaz” Cole started to step in but Max pushed him back.
“I can’t just stand around and do nothing” Zaz yelled into his face and right after, Max’s fist connected to the side of Zaz’s face. Yet he hardly even moved an inch, just shook it off and spit a bit of blood to the ground. “I’m not you….”
“Fine…. Don’t be me…” Max huffed but the second punch hit him square in the chest, but Zaz still didn’t faulter.
“Max!” Izzy had turned around now and was rushing back.
“You got something to say Zaz! Spit it out!” Max raised his arms, muscles hardly able to contain themselves as his shirt stretched to the max.
“If you did something…. She’d still be here…. I wasn’t going to do nothing” Now a few tears had started to fall down his face. “You could’ve done something…. Anything…. At least I’m trying…”
“By getting three other girls put into the same kind of positions?” Max yelled but stopped when he started to see the crowd forming, a few people were already recording.
“We need to go” Madie grabbed Zaz by his arm and started to carry him away.
“That was fucked up….” Cole just shook his head.
With the Night comes darkness, but also stars.

Tj Max was a store he’d never ventured into, upon inspection it was just another Ross or Burlington. A lot of stuff that didn’t or couldn’t sell at the larger retailers or was out of season. Not exactly his style but he understood it.
“You know you can go anywhere you please to get clothes?” Zaz wanted to make sure she knew he didn’t care about the tags.
“This was one of the first stores we went to after we got here” Kar added in, still in front of Madie and him.
Madie glared at her for a second before turning back to Zaz. Instead of words she just nodded her head up and down.
Standing in the isles holding all of the many different outfits like a coat rack for the girls hadnt been his exact picture for this moment. Yet watching Madie and Kar, Esme, and Harley all smiling and going over different close made him smile. They were having a blast and it was showing.
“Sooo somebody’s old aunt ester?” Esme giggled pulling out a god awfull sweater that looked like a moth feast.
“Oh gosh” Harley giggled.
“Put it back before the moths get you!” Kar laughed.
“Thank you” Madie said breaking his concentration away from the girls.
“For what?” Zaz tried to rub the back of his neck but couldn’t due to all the stuff he was holding.
“She’s never really had friends to laugh around with like that. Well not since home anyway.” Madie just watched them all goofing around as she started to pull a red dress off the rack.
“I feel that, until I found the guys I was just an awkward loner” He coughed a bit realizing how honest he’d been accidentaly. “But once we found each other we all just got better together”
“I’m glad. Not sure if we’d have met otherwise” Madie looked at the sparkly red dress for a second and put it back down.
“That would look amazing on you” He grabbed it as she moved on for the pile.
“Don’t! It won’t look good on me” Madie huffed, staring straight at him like a bull about to charge.
“If everyone else disagree’s with you. You have to have dinner with tonight and after let me lick Texas Roadhouse butter off of you?” He gave her the old rock one eyebrow wink and a smile.
“That was so cheesy” Kar giggled.
“It was cute thou” Esme added in.
“Points for it being cute” Harley added.
“No” She giggled and started towards the next set of racks.
“So I gotta try harder. Fine. But you still gotta try this dress on” Zaz added it to his right shoulder where her pile was.
“What’s the point?” She called back across that rack.
“So you can see how fire you look in it.” And with that he just continued to chat with the other girls. Keeping an eye of Madie every few moments.
“I’m going to change into some stuff” Harley said slipping over to his right arm, where her pile sat.
Of course Esme and Kar followed suit. Grabbing there piles and starting for the changing rooms.
“Guess we are all alone now” Zaz tried a Spanish sultry voice like Zoro but failed. “So why not dinner?”
“So why not just leave it be? Find someone else to mess with and leave me be?” Madie said slightly harshly.
“If that’s truely how you feel. Like not playing hard to get. We can just be friends? I kinda thought it was gonna be a fun cat and mouse game. But if your serious I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.” Zaz sighed and stuck his hand out to her. “I’m Zavier Roberts fair maiden. What might your name be?”
“Zaz you don’t get it. If you get mixed up in this bad things could happen. You don’t even get it.”
“So explain it to me? Tell me what I can do?”
“If your serious about dinner tonight. I’ll tell you the whole story”
“Only if you wear that dress” He chuckled.
“I’ll try it on. Why are you so annoying?” She grumbled.
“Persistant!” He corrected with a grin. “So go try it on”
“Fine” Madie groaned and headed off towards the changing rooms and the three girls.
Of course as she got there only three rooms were avalible. Harley was the first to move, locking arms with Esme and dragging her into the first changing room. Kar laughed and grabbed the second key. Madie stood there for a few seconds, hoping and praying that someone would come to use the room.
“You gonna grab the key?” Zaz questioned, giving her a confused look.
“Of course your over here” A sigh escaped and off she went.
“Make sure you step out here” He smiled biting his lip and she melted a bit. Of course it was only to herself, he wasn’t gonna get any sort of reaction.
A moment or two later and out she stepped. Dress red and glitery, a single cut on the right side showing off her thick thigh, her eyes weren’t angry anymore. Instead it was replaced by a cheerful acquisitions of his thoughts.
“Damn sis” Kar gasped and she smiled brightly.
“So who was right?” The grin on Zaz’s face as the other people around looked at how well the dress fit.
“Fine. Can I take it off now” She cooed, trying not to blush at how hot his gaze was making her body.
“For now” He wispered into her ear and she realized how close he’d gotten. “Your the most beautiful girl in the universe and this dress proves it. We can be whatever you want. But I proved my point”
Faking an angry scowl, she retreated into the changing room only to hear Zaz hiss “Damn” As she turned around.
Izzy won rock; paper, sizers. Of course Max made it a best two out of three. Yet here they all were headed towards Victoria’s Secrete. Nessa could feel the tension between the two of them as they walked side by side behind everyone.
Izzy reached her hand out, letting two fingers rub the back of Nessa’s palm. She turned around to look at her the moment she felt her fingers.
“Can we?” The question was of a small girl, trying to get her way. Puppy dog eyes flickering as her lashes batted a bit.
“Whatever you want Peaches” Nessa grinned and grabbed her hand forcefully. Izzy staggered for a second and then Max turned and grinned.
“Told her she was your problem” Max added in with a wink.
“Wait. You knew?” Nessa questioned while Cole started laughing.
“Well not completely but yall been spending a lot of time together”Cole added in.
“There may have been a convo that you missed the first night. Someone was smitten” Max chuckled and Lily smacked his arm.
“You didn’t even tell me?” Lily gave a huge “wow” open mouth expression.
“I didn’t know what was gonna happen” He shrugged. “Also didn’t know Nessa played for that team.”
“It wasn’t exactly a set in mortar thing” Nicky grinned thinking back to the few times they’d fooled around in a drunken stuper. “Bound to happen thou”
“Hush. Your sisters a little Minx and she’s very persuasive” Nessa winked, grabbing her by her chin roughly. “Just wait I got a plan for you peaches”
Victoria Secret was on the second teir in the right corner of the mall. Once inside they all split up and Nessa nearly dragged Izzy off to the closest corner.
“You little shit.” She hissed pushing her against one of the outcrofts before the hanging hoodies. “You just let me freak out about Max knowing that you already said something?”
“It wasn’t like that” She winced at the light pain that shot across her back from the corners edge. “I just told him how bad my last relationship ended…..” She sighed and looked to the ground.
“Well don’t get silent now peaches”
“It was more like asking permission to fuck his roommate….. Your gorgious and I figured it be fun” She mumbled a bit at the end. “Instead when I went downstairs nearly naked you were sleeping peacefully so cutely that I cuddled up next to you.”
“When I woke up you were on the other couch?” Nessa questioned.
“I fell off the one with you, and just laid back on the other” She grumbled. “I lied…. I was sent here to get away from a boy who was beating my ass for a whole year…. I loved him… but I had enough and so did our parents….”
“I’m sorry hun” Nessa had unintentionally reached out, rubbing her cheek and looking at her watering eyes.
“I didn’t want you to think I’m just some dumb bimbo who would allow that”
“Smack!” It was hard enough to make a sound but it hardly stung.
“Your my little minx. Nobody will hurt you” Nessa grabbed her face and smashed her lips to hers. “Love makes you dumb sometimes. I get that. Yet your far from actually being dumb so don’t ever say that again”
“That was hot” Izzy giggled a tear running down her cheek.
“I figured that’s how it started” Nessa sighed. “Go find some cute stuff to wear for me. Because I’m gonna eat you up tonight”
“Please…” Izzy whined.
“I’m thinking you earned a ravishing… or at least being teased a bit” Nessa winked grabbing her hand and pulling her into an embrace. “I have you now and I’ll protect you peaches, no matter what.”
“Thank you” Izzy was snuggling against her chest when she tried to mischievously twist her nip.
“Bad girl” Nessa giggled, tapping her on the nose.
Izzy had picked out three different lace outfits, one of them with a full out fanny flap. It was really just a joke between them. Of course Cole and Nicky were joking and making out every other second. Nessa just laughed and grabbed Izzy’s butt.
“What was that for” Izzy blushed looking at a few of the people who’d seen.
“Because it’s mine” Nessa whispered in her ear. “How about you try those on”
“Only if you come in with me” Izzy bit her lip hoping that it wasn’t to much of an ask.
“I guess. But you’ll be without something once we leave” Nessa watched her mind wrap itself around the possibilities.
It hardly took until the door was closed on the medium sized changing room. A long seat was nestled against the back with mirrors circling. Another smaller stool esc daisy looking seat off to the corner. Nessa was pinning Izzy to the door, mouths locked in a battle for tongue superiority.
“You gonna be good?” Nessa said breathing against the nook of her neck.
“Yesss…” Izzy hissed already pulling at Nessa’s shirt.
“Well then, get changed” Nessa left her to slide back onto the long couch. “I just wanna see you” She winked and giggled a little.
“Come on” She whined more.
“If you don’t want to babe it’s fine. I just figured you’d enjoy a bit of play”
“Babe….” Izzy sighed. “That sounds really good”
“We should be an item? I mean. Will you be my girlfriend?” Nessa bit her lip and rubbed the back of her neck like she’d watched Zaz do, a hundred times before.
“Nope” Izzy grinned from ear to ear as Nessa groaned. “You gotta take me out to dinner and treat me like a proper lady”
“Or” Nessa grumbled stepping to her feet and crossing the room, pinning her against the door again. This time with a single hand holding up both her arms. “Are you mine or no little minx?”
Nessa nuzzled against her neck, not planting any kisses or nipping at her nape. Just slidding her lips ever so slightly above her soft skin. Izzy exhaled an insane amount of air like a runaway ballon and sighed.
“You know I am Nesi” Now her eyes were a very light brown staring into her soul.
“No…. I don’t like that” Nessa attacked her mouth again with her own. No that was a terrible nickname, it wasn’t going to stick. Yet nobody had ever given her a pet name amongst babe, baby or something to that nature. So it was a clear change of pace.
“Are you sure?” Izzy asked between breaths.
“No I don’t” Nessa bit down hard on Izzy’s bottom lip and she moaned out loud.
“Are you girls good?” The young employee girl asked on the other side of the door.
“Sorry. I stubbed my toe” Izzy lied as Nessa grinned devilishly.
“I’ll make you mine” Nessa cooed and Izzy could only watch as she bit her neck, causing an audible squeak. Then started across her chest, down to her belly. Hooking her fingers in the waistband of her shorts. Grinning up at her.
“No babe” Izzy struggled to even get the words out low enough.
Then they were at her heels, a whisp of air across her snatch sent goose pimples up both sides of her thighs. “You little hussy, no undies. In the mall” Nessa was enjoying every second of this, smelling the scent of peaches in the air.
“My plan was to steal them and make you do this anyway”
“Can’t steal what’s not there” Izzy grinned down as Nessa gripped her left thigh from under. Lifting it just onto her shoulder.
“So peaches? Can you be quiet” Nessa hummed as she quickly started to nibble across her mound, under either of her thighs, and down to where he cookie had to be dripping.
“Yes” Izzy groaned, slapping her fingers across her mouth.

Zaz was at her right side, the girls were standing a bit down the way looking at one of the many mall maps. Time stood still for a few seconds as she heard Kar scream. Instantly pulling her eyes from Zaz.
Turning she was met with a sight she’d seen only one other time. Standing only an arms length away, stepping through the entrance door. Stood a taller white boy, black hair that hung over his shoulders. A black leather jacket on him and the two guys on either side. A wicked smile crossed his flat lips as he looked at his prey.
Esme and Harley turned in shock at Kar’s outburst. Zaz dropped the bags at his feet. The world itself was moving so much faster then normal. Yet it all seemed so slow. “I can’t do this right now; please” Her mind cried out watching Zaz surge forward. Sprinting straight towards the girls.
“Zaz don’t!” She shouted!

“Collin Smith! You naughty boy” Max laughed looking at the huge black and blue hicky growing on Nicky’s neck. “I sent you to get the girls and instead-“

“Gawd. That’s a huge hicky” Nessa called out stepping in from the hallway.
“So fun to make and have. You should try it sometime” Nicky looked from Nessa to her little minx as she rounded the corner.
“Don’t tempt me!” Nessa glared back at her bestie with a playful smile.
“I’m sure I won’t have too” She winked and sat into Cole’s lap.
“We need to get them some clothes and products” Max groaned, standing up and stretching.
“We don’t need much” Madie added in shyly.
“Nonsense. Don’t worry about it” Zaz said happily from the front seat.
“Makes it easy when your parents are both big shot lawyers and travel a lot.” Max said giving him the finger.
“Cuz surgeons and doctors make less” Zaz shot back without a missed second. “See I knew you were in the family business” He chuckled to himself but nobody joined in.
“So showers?” Max put his hand on Lilly’s shoulder and she giggled.
“Two each so we use less water” Nicky gave Cole a sly grin.
“I call Nessa!” Izzy giggled and Nessa turned to gawk at her. “What your always on me for wearing nothing. Now you’ll have to deal.”
Nicky and Cole giggled a bit, but Nessa glared at them.
“Well her sister will be with me so that’s fine” Max added in completely oblivious.
“I call Cole” Nicky said wiggling her butt in his lap.
“Didn’t see that coming” Zaz shouted from the driver seat.
“Kar and I will need some cloths” Madie added in.
“I think I have some sweats and hoodies you can fit.” Max added in, trying not to sound mean.
“Kar seems about my size. I could let her rummage” Esme added in.
“Ohhhh She’s got such cute stuff. You’ll love it” Harley added in. “I can shower with her. Or at least share it” She added in shyly.
Nicky was about to interject when Esme smiled at Harley. And Nessa started to laugh a bit.
“If your not opposed. I’m totally down” Esme giggled a bit.
“So that’s that. Let’s get them out of the way” Max clapped as if they were back in the lockerroom in highschool ready for the team to go back out on the field during halftime.
“So I seen a sign for a huge mall. We are stopping for some shopping” Zaz called out before everyone started to head off.
“Sounds like a plan. Madie I’ll grab you cloths and Esme can help Kar. Then y’all can go first if you want.” Max started, pointing towards the bunk slabs that had the boys stuff underneath.
“Someone should show em the bedroom too” Zaz added in.
“I can help” Esme said standing up from the table.
“I’ll come too” Harley added in, hoping up and following behind them.
“Looks like someone’s got a crush” Nicky teased, rubbing at Cole’s chin. “I think we need to get some hair here” She grinned and Max laughed loudly from the hallway.
“If only he could grow some” Max countered.
“Ohhh I’ll make sure he can” Nicky laughed. “More of what you did earlier. It will grow like a weed”
“On that note” Nessa shook her head and started after the girls, Izzy on her heels.
“It’s so nice that Izzy and Nessa aren’t at each others throats anymore” Lily said.
“Well in another aspect” Nicky laughed, then laughed harder at Lily’s confused glance.
Thankfully Max had a few pairs of gym clothes still from high school. So she ended up with two different color sweat suits. One grey and the other black. Kar on the other hand had grabbed two cute emo looking outfits from Esme. One a skirt and cami onsomble and the other a band hoodie and some yoga pants.
“I already enjoy Esme so much. I love her taste in clothes” Kar beamed, standing in front of the long stand up mirror in the bathroom. “I think you did good”
“Cuando se lo decimos?” [“When we tell them?”] Madie questioned looking back at her sister.
“I think we need to tell them asap. They are good people”Kar sat on the edge of the tub and just glanced at her sister. “They feel like we can trust them and they could help us”
“Ayudanos como?” [“Help us how?”] Madie said in Spanish again trying to get Kar to take the hint.
“Nobody is listening to our convo sis. Your being super paranoid. For no reason.” Kar sighed and slumped back against the camper wall. “Even if they did. What’s it matter?”
“We have trust people before and it got us in way worse situation’s….” Madie groaned, playing with her hair at the mirror. “Everyone starts out nice and peaceful…. Then it gets worse…”
“I’m telling you it won’t be like that here…. It won’t be like Aaron….. and his band of goons…” Kar hissed his name just thinking about how much had happened. “We are safe here”
“We will never be safe…” Madie said as a few tears started to run down her cheeks.
“I promise they will help us…. I can feel it” Kar said with a smile hugging her older sister. “And he’s taking us shopping”
“Correction. They are taking us shopping” Madie pulled away with a faint smile playing on her lips.
“We get to see people and not be stuck hostage…” Kar looked at her sister with excitment. “An American mall”
“This is better then being locked in that clubhouse. Being stashed in a cargo container, or being use and abused at the dinner” Madie huffed. “So for that I am thankful”
“So Zaz??” Kar started to turn the water on.
“What?” She gave her sister a side glance.
“He’s cute and has money”
“So doesn’t mean that makes him bf material. And Idt I’m even to worried about that stuff.” Madie grumbled.
Kar and Madie had just escaped to the bathroom. Leaving Nessa, Izzy, Harley, and Esme to continue picking out mall appropriate outfits. Izzy of course was already trying stuff on without concern for anyone else. Esme caught Nessa eyeing up the little minx.
“Those outfits Kar grabbed were so cute” Harley was taking off her top facing the other side wall. While Esme tried to focus back on her suitcase. Picking out just the right outfit.
“What’s everyone wearing?” Izzy questioned and Nessa’s eyes were now locked on her smiling form. “Bet you want a taste” She mouthed the words while spinning and shaking her butt.
“Thinking leggings and a band tee. Not into all that pretty frilly stuff. No offense Esme. It looks good on you” Harley felt as if she’d put her foot in her mouth so she turned to give her a smile.
“Comfy over super cute. I get it” Nessa grumbled, giving Izzy the finger as she laughed back.
“She’s still gonna look cute” Esme added in, not turning to look at Harley. “It’s not everyone’s style”
“Wow Harley” Izzy giggled. “Been hiding those melons on the shelf”
At Izzy’s words Harley realized her chest was on full display to the girls. So she quickly drew her arm across them, turning a bright shade of red.
“Thanks. Puberty was good to me. Minus the acne but with facials stuff I got that under control” She added in shyly.
“Facial stuff” Izzy giggled and collapsed onto the bed.
“Grow up!” Nessa groaned, tossing a pillow at her.
“I’m plenty of grown mama” Izzy teased.
“Don’t I know it” Nessa sighed.
“Seems like you feel much better” Esme said as she grabbed a dress out of her bag. It was a lavender purple with a bunch of bright green and yellow flowers blooming across it.
“Yeah. Nessa is really good at nursing people back to health” She winked at Nessa and stuck her tongue out.
“So mature” Nessa teased. “Had to be since someone got white girl wasted”
“Heard no complaints after” Izzy stuck her tongue out.
“Stick it out again and I’ll put it to work” As the words slipped out, Izzy giggled while everyone else stood silent. “You, I’ll put you to work. Cleaning”
Esme and Harley shared a look but just kept on gathering their cloths. Thankfully the dumb comment slipped past.
“We are all done” Madie opened the door, hair clinging to the towel wrapped on her head. Kar at her heels, but they quickly closed it looking at Harley. “Sorry hun I shoulda knocked”
“It’s ok. I have no problems with you all seeing what we all have” She tossed back on her clothes and gave Esme a quick wave. “Are you ready girl?”
“Guess sooooo” Esme yawned, grabbing her handful of clothes.
“We are next after yall” Izzy said dancing around to a video playing from her phone.
“Let’s go” Harley nearly dragged Esme out of the room.
Into the bathroom they went, Esme just being dragged along by Harley. As Harley stopped inside the bathroom Harley closed the door.
“Let’s get it. So we can get to the mall” Harley’s outburst made Esme giggle.
“Ohhh I can’t wait.” Esme started off pulling off her shirt as Harley stopped dead gawking at the scars Esme forgot to hide. “Oh crap I’m sorry”
Now Esme’s entire world collapsed a bit and Harley just smiled.
“So reduction or a whole boob job?” Harley asked curiously, while still seeming a hundred percent sincere.
“Can I just be honest?” Esme sat on the edge of the tube.
“We’re friends? Why wouldn’t you be honest?” Harley seemed confused and puzzled at her question.
“Cuz I’ve had a lot of people making fun of me or bullying me my entire life. So many I had to do online school the last two years.” Esme huffed. “I was born a boy”
“Bull. Your totally messing with me right now?” Harley still wasn’t believing her.
“Nope. Mom got my boobs done and some face stuff done…. If you wanna go I get it” Esme just looked at the floor, defeated and unsure of what else to say.

“Not like I wasn’t gonna see it anyway?” She teased. “We gotta shower duh.”
“Why is it that even my sisters friends used to do the same thing. Before I was more girly. All the time” Esme groaned, starting to get ready for her shower. “I’m going first now”
“Fine” Harley grumbled, watching as it bounced free of however she’d tucked it away. “Wow…”
“What?” Esme questioned.
“I was expecting a much smaller girl cock” Harley said it with a smile. “I’d be helicopterring it all about” Harley giggled.
“Soooo we good now?” Esme questioned.
“Yeah bestie. but im gonna beat you to the shower” Harley started to sprint towards the shower. “Also secrets safe with me. But its big, idk why you’d wanna just get rid of it”

“Must be nice to be so confident” Madie groaned, running a wet brush through her hair.
“Girl! I don’t wanna hear it.” Izzy teased, dancing over to her. “Your thick as fuck, everywhere it’s wanted. Your gorgious sooooo I wanna hear none of it” Izzy was now full on dancing against Madie playfully like they were all friends in the club.
Nessa watched with a little bit of jelious feelings swimming around her like sharks to chum. Shaking her head a bit, she smiled. Trying to get rid of her thoughts.
“She’s on to something. Definitely killing it girl” Nessa added in happily joining into the little dance parade.
“The problem is the thick where it’s not supposed to be” Madie sighed, gripping at the chub that hung over the sweat pants strings. “The stretch marks, bloating, I feel so yucky”
“Did Esme and Harley already step into the bathroom?” Nicky questioned from the door.
“Yeah. They been giggling and carrying on since they got in there” Nessa groaned and then realized. “Oh shit. I totally forgot.”
“She doesn’t seemed to be to worried about it” Nicky shrugged.
“Doesn’t seem to be” Nessa answered.
“What’s the problem?” Kar asked and Izzy shared the same curious glance.
“Nothing, just sister stuff” Nessa and Nicky said in perfect unison and laughed.
“Also not to loose our train of thought. Stretch marks aren’t that serious honey.” Nicky started to pull up her shirt, revealing all the stripes that ran across her chest, ribs, and turning for back. “I weighed like threehundred and eighty pounds before college….. but I started to work out and stuff after a break up and never went back”
“Very true. But that doesn’t change the fact that none of our bodies in this room are identical and we all sexy as fuck” Izzy giggled still gyrating around. “If you feel the need to do something do it for you. But I don’t think Zaz has a problem at all”
“It wasn’t that I particularly wanted to lose it all. Just life choices and such. So I lost a lot” Nicky shrugged.
“Drugs, don’t do drugs kids” Nessa wiggled her finger like an old lady and covered her teeth with her lips like she had no teeth.
“Hey” Nicky slugged Nessa in the shoulder. “It was a hard time”
“Looks like your having a harder time now” Izzy giggled pointing at her neck. “I’d love for someone to claim me like that. Gawdddd. H…O…T….Hot!!”
“Yeah it was very spure of the moment…. But I enjoyed it”
“Oh shite! Did someone just agree to getting marked by a boy?” Nessa hurried across the room in a frenzied panick, stopping to check the back of her hand against Nicky’s forehead. “Are you sick?”
“Noooo. Hush.” Nicky pushed at Nessa, nearly tossing her onto the bed after she lost her balance.
“Girl pile!!” Izzy screamed. Leaping onto Nessa as everyone else giggled.
Landing with both arms pinning her to the bed, she did something nobody expected. Izzy quickly grabbed her chin and kissed Nessa so hard and lustful that she moaned into her mouth. Speechless everyone just froze, except Nicky.
“Get you girl Izzy!” She chanted as Nessa quickly pushed Izzy up and clamored across the bed fleeing.
“Why did you?”
“I’m sorry I got carried away” Izzy tried to reach across the bed but Nessa hissed.
“Nessa we don’t care….” Madie spoke first and put a hand on Izzy’s back.
“You can be you hun” Nicky added in but she could see the torment in her best friend.
“What if he’s mad? What if he thinks I did it on purpose to get back at him for Lily? Guys I can’t” Nessa looked around the room but Nicky kept coming closer.
“Max wont care…. He’s the only person besides you all that knows” Izzy sniffled and Nessa could see the tears ready to fall.
“I’m sorry” Nessa sighed and grabbed Izzy by her shoulders pulling her in for a hug. “I like you my little minx”
“That’s so cute” Zaz looked from the embrace over to Madie who was still fixing her hair.
“Doesn’t anyone knock?” Kar grumbled to nobody in particular, slipping past him in the door.
The rest of the showers went by quickly. Everyone just excited to be stopping at a mall for some time out of the bus. Max took up driving so Zaz could shower but they’d finially reached the huge mall.
“Colorado Mill’s outlet mall” Max read off as they pulled into the parking lot.
“I’m soo ready” Harley pipped up and Esme giggled a bit.
“Let’s go everyone!!” Max howled to the group starting out the doors.
Quickly crossing the parking lot a few interesting things set in. Max was holding Lily’s hand as if he’d never let it go. Nicky had wrapped her arm inside Cole’s. Harley and Esme with Kar at their heels were skipping like it was the yellow brick road. Nessa and Izzy where in very close proximity without touching. Zaz was still very much clinging to Madie’s hip.
“So where’s the first store you wanna go in?” Zaz questioned, watching everyone stepping into the main glass doors. Crowds of people around them in all direction’s.
“Tj max is fine. Macey’s maybe… idk” Madie shrugged a bit just reading off a couple of the signs she seen, her anxiety blooming to explosive proportions.
“We can go where every your heart desires” Zaz gave her a smile and a wink.
“I need to hit up Victorias Secret” Izzy cried out and everyone laughed, except Max who was just shaking his head.
“Not going there” Madie sighed under her breathe. “I’ll never belong there anyway”
“I would enjoy watching you strut around in some sexy lace outfits” Zaz laughed winking at her playfully.
“I’m sure you would” Madie shot back, starting off in the direction of TJ Max.
“Guess we are all breaking into groups” Max sighed as he watched Zaz step off after her. Kar and the other younger girls following. Yet Nicky, Cole, Izzy, and Nessa hadnt stopped looking at the list of stores.

“Zaz you can’t just take someone against their will?” Lily was rushing out of the door behind him and Madie.
“It’s not against her will” Zaz groaned, stopping halfway between the cafe and the RV. “Your down to adventure with us right?”
Madie gave him a sigh and look at his friends pouring out of the dinner behind them. But she sat on it for a second, of course she was tired of being broke and stuck in her dads dinner. Still she didn’t know what else to do.
“Yes, I want to go” Zaz leaped for joy at Madies words. “But when I said I’m not like y’all. I’m don’t have money or anything like that…”
“Who asked you if you had money?” Zaz shrugged. “I really just think you will have fun”
“And you want to get in her pants!” Cole shouted and Nicky smacked him in the back of the head.
“Shush” Nicky scolded.
“This is gonna be a disaster” Max huffed to Lily who was hanging off his shoulder.
“Or it will be exactly what he needs” Nicky shot back. “She’s soooo cute too. Nessa is gonna love her”
“Hopefully not to much” Zaz added in, grabbing for Madies hand and pulling her forward.
“Slow down” Lily sighed but in the next moment they all froze.
Behind them all the dinner door bell chimed as it opened. Causing everyone to quickly turn their gaze. Madies face dropped as her sisters gaze dropped, and she fell to the floor. Nobody moved.
“Please don’t leave me with him!!” She sobbed loudly and Max was already on the move.
“What’s going on…” Lily just watched Max scoop up the girl in his arms.
Sprinting back towards the rest of them with her in his arms. Lily just shook her head and watched.
“She’s only seventeen?” Madie said but Max was already running past.
“If we don’t hurry, neither of you will get away” Max huffed, setting her down in front of the bus. “Let’s go!”
Everyone quickly filled in, sitting down in a rush and Zaz was pulling out of the parkinglot. Screeching tires out onto the highway.
“What the hells going on?” Nessa said shakily stumbling down the hallway.
Her face nearly fell of when she seen the two new girls sitting at the table. Of course both of them were very pretty, one of them looking like she could play professional girls basketball and the other a shapely girl with a pretty face.
Nessa looked over at Lily, who just shrugged a bit. Before turning to the right, pointing to Zaz. The grin on his lips was wider then the Cheshire cats. Max rubbed his neck as she met his gaze. Then just shook his head a bit.
“So we kinda stole them away for a good cause” Max mumbled and Nessa groaned.
“Please tell me they are over aged” Nessa was holding onto the hallway closet and shaking her head at them.
“Kar has two months and she will be eighteen” Madie said a bit sheepishly, not looking up from the table.
“Y’all stole a minor? Are you fucking stupid” Nessa was looking from one face to another, clearly showing off anger and dismay. “If we get caught with her we could all go to jail!”
“Cuz the drugs aren’t a sentence?” Zaz quickly shot back, still watching the road.
“Well add, add that shit on top. Don’t yall think?” Nessa was nearly pulling her hair out, while trying not to sway as the rv hit a bump.
“Im thankful you guys took us away…. It was way more then we are comfortable speaking about…” Madie sighed.
“Well you better get comfortable. Cuz we need to know why you let complete strangers take you and your sister.” Nessa pipped up and looked around the room for anyone to help out.
“Nessa. Can you at least let them settle in a bit? Maybe introduce everyone?” Zaz grumbled looking back a quick second but going back to focusing on the road.
“I think Zaz may have a point sis” Lily started as daggers flew across the room from her own sisters eyes. Impaling her on the cabnits, if that were even remotely possible. That’s exactly what her sisters angry gaze told her.
“Yeah it might not be the best to put em on the spot like that?” Max added in rubbing his neck but stepping towards Lily still.
“Well im gonna go back to sleep then. So when yall get pulled over. I don’t know a fucking thing” Nessa groaned loadly and whipped around quickly. Storming off towards the main bedroom.

Throwing the door closed angrily, Izzy was startled awake. Rubbing her eyes as she peaked out from the covers. A yawn escaping her and then she met Nessa’s angry gaze and giggled a bit.
“What did Zaz do now?” She giggled, slapping the spot next to her on the big Alaskan king bed.
“It was all of them. They added two more to our group, but they stole them away from that dinner” Nessa slid down the door to the floor, groaning in distress. “They are gonna ruin all our lives”
“If Max was in on it. He must have sensed something… You know he’s pretty good at thinking ahead” Izzy sighed and removed the covers, tossing her long black band t-shirt at Nessa.
“Thinking ahead when it comes to Lily” Nessa giggled a bit, quickly closing the gap between them by leaping onto the bed. Landing just shy of Izzy and nearly pushing her off the bed.
“That’s was so not nice” Izzy flicked at Nessa’s chest but missed.
“It’s the truth” She shot back tossing her over and slapping Izzy’s butt once, hard.
“Get over here and let’s do what we shoulda done yesterday” Izzy groaned at the warmth on her exposed tush.
Nessa looked up to see both orange sized orbs slightly untouched by tan lines. Which of course Izzy shook a bit to add to the show. In seconds Nessa was on her. Pinning her down to the bed with thighs on her midsection. Yet Izzy didn’t even struggle at all.
Instead she just giggled a bit as Nessa looked down on her like a hungry lion eyeing down a gazel. Yet it didn’t hinder the fire that burned between them. In seconds Nessa’s lips where back pressed against Izzy’s. Her weight pinning her to the bed as each groaned into each others mouths.
Neither would win in this fight against the lust itself. Nessa lost her cami next, which only added to Izzy’s giggles.
“Like what you see hun?” Nessa slyly questioned pinning both Izzy’s arms to the bed.
“Yesss” She groaned as two hands holding hers became one and Nessa’s other hand started slowly crawling across her naked stomack.
Tracing faint trail lines, tickling the soft flesh causing her to buck a bit. Until she reached the hem of Izzy’s basketball shorts. Untiying the semi loose strings just to get her to giggle.
“Please” Izzy groaned her eyes pleading for her to continue.
“Please what? My little peach?” Nessa grinned and Izzy growled.
“Please take me. Eat my peach like a hungry bear.” Izzy whined.
“Sorry I don’t take orders from sluts” Nessa laughed a bit, slipping her fingers below the shorts.
Like she’d seen before her mound was shaved clean. Yet she still allowed her fingers to gracefully dance under the black lace. Drawing out everything for just longer.
“I can be yours” She winked, and wined a bit.
“Can you?” Nessa groaned to herself, only thing she thought of was whomever had taken her virtue.
Then it was gone. She pulled her hands free and sighed into her hands. Sitting up and growling loudly. Izzy quickly sat up and looked fairly confused.
“I’m sorry….” Izzy’s bottom lip started to tremble.
“It’s not your fault hun.” Nessa turned and watched a few tears starting to run down Izzy’s cheeks. “I was so mad at your brother…. For taking my sister and here I am. Straight. Ready to devour you”
“Am I enough??” Izzy’s face gave off a much deeper pain that Nessa had just accidentally tapped on.
“No your way more then enough” Nessa was back with Izzy wrapped in her arms. “You don’t even know how much I just want you”
Instead of kissing the little minx, she tightened her grip and just stroked her hair. Calming her down while both of them laid half naked in a bed they shared with all of their friends. Not exactly what she expected for the day.
“Then why won’t you do me?” Izzy was sniffling now. “I’ve never wanted someone how I want you. And you just keep teasing me”
“I haven’t been with anyone in three years….. I want to… I just don’t want to let you down…” Now Nessa was sighing into Izzy’s strawberry smelling hair. “I never been with a girl but I want it to be perfect for you”
“It doesn’t have to be perfect” Izzy sighed, looking deeply up into her eyes. “I just want it to be with you”.

“Can you tell Nessa to lay off?”Max groaned, hands rubbing his temples looking at Lily. “I can feel it. Something is way off but until they are comfortable enough to share it. We just putting them on the spot.”
Of course he was focused on Lily but she seemed to be ignoring him for “Team Nessa”. Cole stood up instead and started for the bedroom door.
“Since nobody else wants to do it” Cole groaned.
Moans echoed lowly as he crept towards the door. Of course he should knock but if only Nessa and Izzy were back there what was going on. Slipping the nob to crack it he nearly passed out from the sheer audacity of it all.
Nessa was clearly topless, Izzy was on her lap also topless. Yet they were both caught in a whirlwind of lustful proportions. Nessa’s hands were crawling across Izzy’s back. “Guess we have a naughty little peeping Cole?” Nicky voice came as a shock but her hand softly pressing into the middle of his back nearly pushed him through the door. “Good. My girls finially getting a good lay”
“I’m sor-“ Cole started to whisper but Nicky already had a hand wrapped around his lips.
“Sorry isn’t gonna cut it bad boy” She interupted, her other hand slowly slipping down his chest from behind. Falling to his excitment that would clearly show through sweatpants for anyone to see. “Look what we have here. That’s a good size.”
“Nicky” He groaned as she gripped it up with just the right amount of force.
“Let’s let them have there fun” Nicky cooed as she started to kiss and suck on the back of his neck. “Tell me you want me hun and we can slip into the bathroom right now”
“Of course” Now it was her turn to be surprised, Cole turned and mashed his lips to hers pushing her back into the wall.

“The kitty needs to breath at night” She sighed as he lifted her leg over his shoulder and dove into her snatch.

“Gawd your a natural” She groaned, nearly loosing her balance but he was gripping her theighs to keep her balance.
She was floating on cloud nine as he nibbled and sucked at her little bud. Stopping only to reach up and man handle her left nipple. Gasping she could feel her first tremors starting as well as a build up. Gushing across his mouth in a warm spray she collapsed into his body. Yet he didn’t spot lapping up the squirted nector.
“God” She groaned as he pulled her down onto his soaked shirt.
The smile that held on Cole’s face made her push him a bit. But it was playfully to no avail, she was completely at his mercy now.

“I’ve never done that before” Now as he looked up a reddish gleam played on her cheeks. “Is it ok….”
Mashing his lips back onto hers, even though his face was soaked with her juices. Gave her all the notice she was looking for.
At that exact moment a knock ruptured their little oasis of lust.
“Come on. I gotta pee” Esme’s girly voice called out with a few patters of her feet’s. Probably full peeing dance.
“Shit” Nicky hissed grabbing her cloths but Cole didn’t let her out of his arms.
“So I might have done a thing” He grabbed her cheek moving it so he could see the large black and purple mark.
“Dam boy” She gasped in the mirror looking at it.
The walk of shame back to the table was done hand in hand. Esme just giggled a bit looking at the mark. Zaz of course howled from the drivers seat catching it and the hand holding. Everyone else just kinda smile.
“I assumed I’d have to be dominant. But gawd did you show me” She whispered into his ear as they sat down.
Braylee held Mickey for what felt like hours before the crying stopped. They sat curled up together on her bed, wrapped in the white floral covers. Of course she’d never let it all go. She hadn’t even wanted to be back in this house. Now she didn’t have a choice. Nothing she could say could bring Mickey’s parents back, but she knew the pain that was haunting her.
“I’m sorry… I should have just stayed in the basement” Mickey sobbed and Braylee held her tighter.
“Just let it out Bestie. I promise it will eventually be better” Braylee coed, looking around the bedroom.
Everything was untouched, it hadn’t really occurred to Braylee until now. Her best friend really had moved into the basement. She’d brought clothes from here over the summer, but hadn’t been back since. All the daily tasks of her life had been embedded into Braylee’s parents house. Yet now they had somehow taken Leah’s side.
“It won’t get better! They are gone forever…” Mickey continued to sob, growling low trying to fight away the anguish.
“They are still here” Braylee knew it sounded cheesy but as she tapped her friend on the forehead it felt right. “You need to let all this stuff out. So it’s not holding you down. It’s a terrible situation but your stronger now”
“I guess you’re right. And I have Corbin” She giggled a bit through the tears. “It hadn’t even been a few hours and I miss him”
“I’m pretty sure they were sent to hold up the store” Braylee wiped her friends face of the tears. “Tomorrow will have a whole new world of problems and surprises. You should let go of the old stuff now”
Braylee watched as Mickey stood up, shook her hair out. Wiped her face of the tears and dripping mascara and headed back towards the room door.
Following, Braylee rounded the corner as Mickey stood at the master bedroom door. Hand on the nob, waiting for someone to tell her it was ok to enter. No such voice existed.
The door creaked loudly as Braylee watched it slowly move open. Mickey was frozen in place, Braylee moved to her side. Rubbing her shoulder for comfort.
The room was completely clean, a film of dust had started to coat the dresser and ceiling fan. Across the ceiling two separate holes had been filled in. Braylee hadn’t imagined that Mickey would actually enter the room. Everything else in the room looked like it had been modeled after a film bedroom. It all matched, from the dressers, to the tv stand, to the bed frame.
“This is where it happened…” She said coldly, not actually stepping past the door frame. “I don’t get it. They didn’t fight all the time. They hardly ever argued… Why?”
“Maybe we should head back to my house” Braylee said unsure of what else to say.
“What if we can never go back after we shift? What if we will never see anyone again?” Mickey had turned and was searching Braylee’s expression for an answer.
“Nobody else knows…. We will be fine” Braylee said and shut the door. “Let’s go do something else”
Instead of fretting over the past they ended up just hanging out in Mickey’s bedroom. Watching something on tv as they both just started with homework.
“Tomorrow is gonna suck!” Braylee confessed after finishing a math problem out of her work book.
“For sure” Mickey whined.
“I’m gonna have to spend nearly all the day alone.” Mickey giggled a bit at her best friends audacity.
“Oh lord” Mickey laughed. “Is it sad I almost forgot and would have gone with you?”
“Well you earned your days off” Braylee laughed. “The look on her face was priceless. I feel so bad for Shay though”
“Maybe since I’m out of the way” Mickey laughed harder. “I still can’t believe she went that far. Like it was hardly as serious as she made it out to be”
“I can only wish. And yeah but she’s been known to do outrageous stuff like that.” Braylee continued to write the next question out. “Remember when she pushed me off the trampoline and I nearly broke my arm. All because she was mad I took her Barbie”
“That was sickish. For sure” Mickey started to chew on the end of her mechanical pencil. “I remember riding with you to the hospital”
“I just don’t get why she’s so..” Braylee started but couldn’t get the word out fast enough.
“Bitchy!” Mickey shouted out like she’d known the answer but didn’t care she hadn’t been called on.
“I guess. She wasn’t always like that though. I remember when we all used to play Barbie’s and have fun together” Braylee’s voice started to wain.
“Guess that’s just growing up” Mickey added in tossing her math book and note book onto her dresser. “Well Corbin says she left with Logan”
“Welp. That’s good. But I hate how much it felt like my parents were taking her side.” Braylee groaned.
“Your not wrong on that front. I feel like they have never done that before.” Mickey added in being fully attuned to her iPhone.
“So what else did my brother say?” Baylee looked at her friend and watched her face start to redden.
“Nothing else about Leah” She said quickly before Braylee watched her typing away.
“Sooo yuck” Braylee laughed tossing her stuff onto Mickeys floor. “Food?”
Sleep didn’t come quite as easy as she’d hoped it too. But heading off to school all alone was worse then the lack of sleep. Mickey hadn’t even really woken up, when she left.
The school bell sounded just as she headed through the big grey painted metal doors, into the main hallways on the parking lot side of the school. Weirdly enough she quickly realized today was gonna be a day.
Xavier was crowned inside a whole group of kids ahead of her. In the air, the dude who was bullying him had him again. This time it had escalated to him carrying Xavier like a small toddler through the hallway. Of course instead of being scared or acting as if he was, he was laughing harder then ever.
“Put him down!” She heard Bruno’s voice as she started pushing towards him through the crowd.
“What if I don’t want too?” The boy questioned, she could hear the cockiness in his voice.
“She didn’t ask you what you wanted?” Bruno shot back and she was jumping up trying to see over the last few people.
“Kinda gay you wanting to hold me” Xavier chuckled even harder.
“Well I’d ask you why you care about the homo freak? But I’m sure it’s obvious.” Now he’d dropped Xavier and was openly taunting them both as he circled like a solo shark. “You want me to go to my dad and tell him to tell his favorite golf buddy’s sons part homo!”
“Why do you have such a problem with me!” Xavier shouted standing up all fear gone from his face, tears starting to stream down his cheeks. “I did nothing to you! No snide comments, nothing.”
“You exist that’s enough. You weirdo!” The football guy spat back.
“I can’t with you. You call anyone else a weirdo. How about what you did when you were with Brittney? Or how you talk about it constantly? That’s not weird?” Bruno was now face to face with him, Xavier at his right giving this boy the stare down of a lifetime.
“How did you?” The guy stopped; looking perplexed, mind trying to figure out how he knew.
“It’s not hard to know when you boast about it. You should lay off or I’ll be talking to our lovely new sheriff about it” Braylee jumped in.
“Isn’t she a freshman here to this year?” Xavier questioned and watched his jaw dropping.
“That’s not necessary” The guy took off, pushing clear over anyone in his way.
“Thanks but I had it under control” Xavier groaned, grabbing his book bag off the floor and heading towards his locker.
Braylee and Bruno exchanged a confused expression, but neither said anything. Bruno hung close to Braylee as they watched the crowd disperse. She quickly noticed that his eye had healed up.
“Wow. Jayden was right” Braylee absentmindedly said touching at Bruno’s face.
Who was in turn, ducking and backing up so that she wasn’t touching him. Until he stumbled into someone else. Knocking them both to the ground. Of course as Braylee looked over, Shay was looking up at her with a disgruntled look.
“Sorry” Bruno said, grabbing her hand and setting her upright.
“It’s fine” Shay said without sounding to harsh but Braylee grabbed her arm.
The skin on skin contact sent a rippling wave of fire across her body and Shay turned to her pulling from her grasp. The faint smell of a strawberry scented bath and body works lotion hung in the air. Giving her a saddened expression, but trying to pull away again.
“Can we talk…. Please…” Braylee whimpered like a puppy, giving her the eyes to boot.
Of course Bruno seen this as a great time to get moving. Which didn’t really effect anyone else. Shay whipped off her black band t-shirt and frilly emo looking black mesh skirt and gave Braylee a pleading glance.
“I don’t want to be late to first hour” Shay started moving and Braylee let out a low growl.
Shay froze in place and Braylee moved to her side. Intertwining her fingers into Shay’s and she gasped. Quickly pulling their hands apart and giving her a warning growl.
“Stop” She warned, pulling her fingers free. “Not here, please”
That was all Braylee could handle. Without another word she just strode off to first hour. Not even glancing back, yet inside she was weeping. Her mate didn’t want her.
Throughout the first half of the school day she was hardly paying attention. Of course Mickey and her didn’t share every class but most of the morning ones they did. She needed her Bestie as she strode off towards the cafeteria.
Thankfully Emily was a few people ahead of her in the hallway. So she quickly caught up and gave her a quick smile.
“Hey Emily” Braylee said stepping in stride with her.
“Hey Braylee…” Emily replied trying to figure out what was out of place, then it dawned on her. “I forgot Mickey’s suspended”
“Yeah it’s a bummer” Braylee added in as they dodged a group of guys horsing around in the hallway. “You sure you gonna be alright tonight?”
“I’ll be fine” Emily replied unsure.
“We’ll hopefully you are close to an exit” Braylee giggled but Emily didn’t really even notice the joking manner of delivery.
“Did you hear about this morning?” Emily questioned not looking at Braylee.
“The Xavier and Bruno thing?” Braylee asked.
“Yeah, heard it was a mess. Involved a girl from my morning class Devon. Not sure how, but that’s the talk of the day” Emily added in.
“Dam Bruno must not have been lying…” Braylee said as someone behind her grabbed at her hand.
Of course her body instantly knew who it was, but why was she doing it. Instead of letting their fingers mesh together. Braylee pulled away, not even looking in Shay’s direction. Emily looked over and seen her approaching.
“Hey Shay” Emily said trying to sound as nice as possible. “Hope your not in to much pain after that crap with Leah”
“Nope. No physical pain here” She said annoyingly, pushing past them.
“What’s her problem?” Emily questioned, gawking at her as she passed them.
“Complicated like everything else around here” Braylee said pushing into the cafeteria.
Instantly noticing Bruno wasn’t at the “cool kids table”, instead him and Xavier where waving obnoxiously outside at their hang out table.
“Lord. This day keeps getting weirder and weirder “ Emily giggled, watching them interact.
“I need to talk to you!” Shay said slamming her tray down on the wooden table outside.
Breaking everyone away from the conversation about the morning gossip. Braylee just gawked at her for a few moments, not saying anything.
“It’s about time” Braylee replied and started to follow her over to another table close by. “So what do you want?”
“Don’t talk to me like that” Shay fired back laying down across the top of the table.
Shay’s longer black hair fell in a cascade nearly touching the ground. Letting out a loud audible sigh, and rubbing her temples with painted nails.
Braylee just sighed and sat down next to her. Looking down at her carmel colored skin as her eyes softened a bit. Then she sneezed and Braylee couldn’t help but bust out laughing.
“Cute” Braylee said at the very petite sounding tone of her sneeze.
“So why’s your sister have it out for me? That wasn’t cool at all” Shay said with a hint of anger.
“It was payback… I had a anger lapse and choaked her…” Braylee answered honestly and watched as Shay gave her a confused smile. “This wolf thing isn’t easy… I keep having bouts where something sets me off”
“I forgot you weren’t born to a family of wolves” Shay said without looking over at her. “I’m sure it’s tough.”
“Well at least I have them” Braylee smiled to herself thinking about how easily they had fell into a friendship together. “Is that all you wanted to talk about?”
“The full moon is tonight…. Are you all ready?” Shay was sitting up now, looking at Braylee with concern.
“I think we are…. But only time will tell I guess” Braylee sighed and just looked back at her friend group. “I don’t want anyone of them to get hurt, but I also don’t want anyone else to get hurt.”
“Just keep everyone together. I’m sure you’ll all pull through it. There’s only a small percentage that die durning the transition…. Doesn’t happen often though…” Shay said nonchalantly.
“Great. Something else to worry about”
“Don’t. I’m sure they will all be good.” Shay said back moving forward closer to Braylee.
“So about us?” Braylee’s voice was calm and cool sounding, trying not to sound as if they’d been trading blows all morning.
“We can’t be us…. It’s way more complicated than you know…” Shay didn’t meet her gaze now, just stared at her group of friends. “I wish I had a group like you do…”
“Aren’t you part of a pack? Didn’t you try to reach for my hand in the hallway?” Braylee questioned quite confused.
“Yes to both… but I can’t speak about the first thing… leaders orders…. I been trying to figure out how to speak to you….” Shay now was looking at her hands fiddling with her thumbs. “Or something worse then last time could happen…”
“When you almost died… you mean?” Instead of saying anything else Shay nodded. “What if you just nod?”
A lightbulb went off in both of there minds and she nodded again. A smile crept across Braylee’s face.
“So you can’t talk about the pack?” Again Shay nodded yes. “So that’s why you haven’t been around me?” Another nod yes.
“I’m your mate thing right?” Braylee asked again and Shay giggled a bit and nodded yes. “Do you normally like girls?”
Shay gasped a bit and her carmel skin started to turn a shade of red. Quickly she kinda turned her head away and didn’t nod at all.
“I haven’t been into girls, but I’ve never actually tried to be with a boy before” Shay answered honestly, rubbing her shoulder a bit.
“Same I guess…” Braylee said thinking of all the times before hand, where Mickey had helped keep boys away from her. “I definitely had help keeping boys away, but I also never really tired or bothered with them”
“Is that normal in wolf society?” Braylee questioned and Shay shook her head no. “So even in another society we are weird…”
“Not weird. Just different” Shay grabbed Braylee’s right hand and intertwined their fingers, pulling her hand up. “I’ve been a solo act since my mom died…. My father took us away from the group… and just decided to move back now…”
“Do you want to sit with us?” Emily’s voice sounded a bit more shy then normal but they both realized everyone else could hear them anyway.
Xavier and Bruno exchanged a sigh as the girls both laughed and shook their heads no. This was their time. The first time they really got to spend in each other’s company.
“What else?” Shay asked still looking at their intertwined fingers and enjoying the heat that started to form.
“Do you have siblings?”
“Nope. I know of yours” Shay shot back with a giggle.
“Really sorry about that” Braylee sighed. “At least the twins aren’t bad company”
“Your besties boy toy or the other one” Shay laughed as Braylee pulled her closer.
Instead of being a full arms length apart with their hands intertwined, now Braylee had pulled Shay nearly up onto her lap. Their eyes locking as they both smiled a bit.
“No pda!” Xavier called out with an obvious snorting fit of laughter.
“Hush!” Braylee’s voice was calm but feisty. “Any questions for me?”
“Have you ever kissed anyone before? Family doesn’t count” Shay’s eyes and smile turned to a shyness Braylee hadn’t expected.
“No… I’ve never had the urge until now…” Just as Braylee felt sure enough to push the envelope the bell rang.
“Let’s go love birds!” Bruno spoke this time causing both girls to join in laughing.
“Guess it’s just not the right time” Braylee said still holding Shay’s hand.
Nearly pulling her up into a standing position. Yet as Braylee started towards the group, Shay hadn’t begun to move at all. Braylee’s eyes scanned hers, only to find them focused on their intertwined fingers.
“If your not comfortable then…” Braylee’s voice sounded a little shaky and unsure about what to say.
“Are you comfortable with this? Walking together to class like this?” Shay seemed instantly conflicted and Braylee just smiled and pulled her hand free.
“I guess I was so comfortable I wasn’t even thinking about anything else” Braylee replied honestly with a shrug. “I’m in no rush..”
“Would you two hurry up! Or we are all going to be late!” Bruno added in his two cents again, standing at the entrance way holding it open.
Shay and Braylee walked together with the group dropping off each other at their respective classes. Throughout the next four periods Braylee didn’t see Shay again.
After school everyone was standing outside waiting for the sleepover directions. Of course the twins also had to be there. Standing around in a big circle, all of them chatting. Braylee stepped up to them and just sighed.
“What’s the plan?” Bruno questioned looking at the group.
Braylee’s eyes were wide watching Shay get into her father’s sheriff charger nearby. A sigh escaped her lips as Emily was giving everyone goodbye hugs.
“You should have invited her” Xavier said without hesitation.
“I guess even gay guys like girl on girl action” One of the jocks hissed as he passed.
Emily was thankful in an awkward attempt at a goodbye hug / trying not to let Braylee free to go start something else.
“What an ass” Bruno added in stepping up as the boy waved his hand in surrender still laughing.
“Guess cats out of the bag” Xavier gave Braylee a sly grin.
“Not like they hadn’t nearly had a major make out session in the middle of lunch” Bruno added in which earned him a glare from Braylee.
“Well I’ll take the twins with me” Braylee started getting her phone out to text Mickey.
“I have my car. I can take me and Xavier” Bruno added in and Xavier gave him a quick jab in the shoulder.
“You sure? Might get your old friends talking again?” He chuckled a bit and Bruno sighed.
“I really don’t care what they say. I know it’s not true”
“So follow me to Mickey’s, then to the store for snacks. Then to the house” Braylee said already starting to round her suv.
“Sounds good” Bruno said clicking his keys as a baby blue ford focus rs dinged to life.
Xavier only laughed as he headed over there.
Mickey had been anxiously waiting for her group to show. And hopped into the car without much of a fus. Of course the twins qued her in about the drama of the day and the lunch stuff.
“So she all but made out with Shay?” Mickey giggled out loud as Braylee’s heart dropped.
Right at the front of the store was none other then Shay’s dad’s sheriffs charger parked just outside the front doors. With a sigh, she parked a few spots from the front door and turned to her best friend. Who was flaunting an ear to ear grin, looking at her and then to the twins. Them pointing over at the police cruiser.
“Guess your lover beat us here?” Mickey quipped as the boys laughed.
“Ughhh. Enough” Braylee hissed only to get out the Suv to see Bruno and Xavier hopping out pointing out the car.
“Get a grip guys” Mickey shouted as the twins nearly rolled out the back seat play fighting.
Nobody else said a word. That is until the front door of the store slid open to reveal Shay’s dad leaning against the manager counter with Shay at his side. Her parents were on the other side of the counter chatting away.
“Look the gangs all here” Braylee’s fathers voice was cheerful as he smiled.
His own dark complexion matching that of Shay’s fathers. Eyes a light brown completely focused on her and the group. Wearing his normal polo shirt and slacks.
Of course her mother on the other hand had to dress like one of the stephford wives. A long dress with flower arrangements across the front. Her green eyes and bleach white smile focused on Shay’s fathers attention.
“Thankfully someone else isn’t” Mickey shot back and Shay laughed a bit.
“Definitely” Xavier added in and Braylee’s mother shot her a quick glance, before motioning them over.
“So I went ahead and added someone else to your sleepover” Braylee’s mother’s voice sounded sweet and innocent, but Mickey started giggling before the words left her mouth. “Shay’s coming to your sleepover tonight”
Braylee didn’t make a sound, everyone else just seemed to be holding back their laughter. Mickey took it upon herself to give Shay a hug. Then lock arms with her and drag her towards the snack isle. The twins at her heels.
“Guess that went well” He father added in.
“I would have asked her earlier but I didn’t know how the sheriff would feel” Braylee said sort of shyly.
“I guess it’s working out well” Shay’s father gave her a smile. “I gotta get back to work. You sure you guys don’t need money or something?”
“No we got it handled” Braylee’s father said back.
Of course the moment Braylee and the guys rounded the snack isle. Mickey was asking a million questions and Shay was just nodding. Their new way of learning stuff. Braylee shook her head at Mickey’s devilish grin her way. Shaking her head she stepped closer to her best friend and her mate.
“So whatever could you two be talking about?” Braylee questioned with a side glance at Shay, who turned bright red.
“Just how someone could have had her first kiss” Mickey stuck her tongue out just as Braylee playfully slapped her arm.
“Feisty as always!” Mickey yowled playfully, stepping back and holding her arm.
“Well what’s everyone want for snack stuff? Get it now and let’s head home” Braylee asked as she felt Shay’s fingers trying to hold hers.
It was welcomed and they continued to toss stuff into the cart that Xavier and Bruno brought with. Of course everyone hadn’t been able to come to an agreement on pop or chips. So they ended up with a cart full.
Rounding the corner with the cart Braylee’s mom’s hand went to her mouth the moment she caught wind of the hand holding. It was at that second Braylee really realized the gravity of that situation, but she didn’t let go. They had already been fighting each other earlier and throughout school. It was a win she wanted to enjoy.
“You guys get everything you needed?” Her fathers voice interrupted her and her mothers eye contact.
“I think so” Braylee said softly as her mother gave her father a nudge, slowly pointing at the girls.
Of course her fathers brown eyes softened a bit and a smirk started to form. But instead of the world war three look her mother had given a smile was starting to form.
“Well you all have a good night. But don’t party to hard” Without another word he gave them a wave and sent them on their way.
“So not to be that girl” Mickey interrupted turning to her best friend. “I’m not giving up my front seat”
Braylee sighed softly and Shay smiled. Corbin was the first to speak.
“You don’t want to sit in the back with me?” He gave her a devilish grin and Caden groaned.
“Please don’t make me go with them?” Caden was looking at Bruno and Xavier.
“I’ll save you too” Bruno laughed.

It didn’t take long for the school to react. Surely someone had seen the huge group of students crowding up against the big bay windows in the cafeteria. Maybe someone saw the little scuffle from the breezeway across the grounds. Either way the cavalry was there.
Teachers and security guards started to push through with the nurse on their heels. Gathering them like an unruly concert crowd. Sweeping through till they found the group in the middle of it all, just outside the cafeteria doors. Mickey and Xavier pulling Shay up in a heap of tears, the black and blue starting to spread across her arm.
Emily holding back Braylee at the tables. Leah standing with a huge shit eating grin, with a red handprint across her face. Silently staring down her younger sister with a cold expression.
“That’s what you get” She snapped, looking proud of herself.
“What the heck’s happened here?” The principal Mr. Granger asked looking at the group in question.
Principle Granger was an older man, probably late fifties or early sixties. His hair was long and brown but tied up into what seemed like a hippie bun. Beard and mustache trimmed and well kept. Like a retired hippy singer.
“Nobody?” The head burly security guy stepping through after. “Somebody knows something? Everyone was here watching. So what went down?”
Of course he was turning to look at the crowd gathered at the windows. which had now started to slowly navigate back to class as the bell rung.
“Leah attacked Shay, to piss off our sister. And Mickey slapped her to protect her best friend” Caden mumbled, throwing his hands up and moving away towards the covered benches.
“So everyone except for Emily and Xavier in my office” He barked and everyone started moving.
“So you dragged a girl through the cafeteria because she was eating in the bathroom alone?” Principal Grangers face was turned to the side a bit, confused at the entire situation.
“We’ll she’s a friend of my sisters. It should be thought more like an intervention” Leah said sudo-confidently tucking her hands into her lap. “Who eats alone in a bathroom stall…. A school wacko, somebody who’s depressed and in need of help. It was rash but I feel it was for the safety of the school”
Everyone else’s jaws dropped instantly, she sounded as if she was reading a prompt on the nightly news. The twins let off a quick chuckle and after receiving a glared by the principal, they stopped.
Principal Grangers office was a bit bigger then completely expected. None of them had ever been here prior. They weren’t bad students, but they weren’t exactly the a-list studious type either. Some where in the middle of complete outcast and popular.
A few bookshelves on the far corner of the room, filled with books all spine out. Names to far to read. A desk in the middle of a dark wood, it was nearly taking up most of the room. Seat littered across the entrance wall, mostly due to everyone being packed into the room.
“That’s bullshit and you know it!” Braylee shot back and instantly caught the judge gaze of their principal.
“Language!” He snapped and looked back at Leah. “Anyone who says another foul word will receive a weeks detention and a two day suspension”
“Fine” Mickey spoke next with a sigh.
“It was a power move I didn’t see coming” Braylee thought and Mickey turned with a knowing smile.
“None of us seen this coming” Mickey replied.
“Any news from the jailhouse?” Xavier asked and was surely chuckling in class to himself.
“Just bullshit from Leah. Nothing new” Mickey growled.
“So all of you watched it happen? And didn’t do anything?” He asked.
“We couldn’t do anything. We sit out in the picnic table area” Braylee started knowing it wouldn’t matter much.
“By the time we realized it. She was tossing her out to us. This wasn’t some intervention. It was a sisterly spat that could’ve hurt someone” Corbin was standing at Mickey’s side, holding the back of her chair.
“A spat about what?” The principle asked and Shay sat up a little straighter and looked deep into his eyes.
“It was brought to my attention that she knew about a crush. So Leah used that to make all of our lives miserable” Shay said as the door to the office opened.
“An officer is here to see you sir” His younger female secretary said before Shay’s dad stepped in.
The man was always happy, his smile quickly caused the room to perk up a bit. Or it might have been the uniform.
“So how’s everyone doing today?” He looked around the room.
“I’m sorry” Braylee spit out and instantly dropped her face into her hands.
“So from what I gather. Leah put her hands on your daughter. Then Mickey looking to even the score put her hands on Leah.” Principal Granger added in.
“Do you wish to press any changes?” Shay’s father looked at her and then his gaze went to Leah.
“No” They both said in unison without much thought.
“We’ll then. Now I’m here as a father.” He leaned against the wall behind the teens. “Seems like something that was fueled by drama and revenge”
“Seems the just of it” Principal Granger shook his head. “So I’m going to give Leah two weeks out of school suspension, Mickey your going to get three days out. Everyone else, stay out of my office”
Shay was the first to grab her bag and go running off out the door. Which only made Braylee want to disappear for a few days too. Everyone else was out the door in the hall when Shay’s dad motioned for Braylee to come talk to him at the edge of the hall.
“So you sister seems like quite the character?” He chuckled a bit looking down the hall to where Shay stopped and glared at him.
“I’m sorry, it’s my fault.” Braylee said crossing her arms and not looking up.
“It’s not your fault. You can’t control other people. You may have caused her reaction but it’s not your fault.” She still didn’t look up. “I’m sure that is gonna be talked about for a few weeks”
“Yeah especially when you’re in nowhere and nothing ever goes on. And when it does it’s always around you.” She sighed.
“It’s high school, someone else will do something dumb and you’ll be off the hook” He chuckled. “Not quite the end of the world”
“So….” She looked up and he could see the hurt clear on her face.
“Honestly I just wanted to know if you could help Shay fit in better. It wasn’t to long ago she lost her mom” He started then rubbed his temple. “I’m sorry, I just really want her to fit in. And your little group seems to have already tried to bring her in. So I’m just asking you to try a bit harder”
“If you only knew” Braylee sighed to herself.
“I can try” She smiled a bit.
“It would mean a lot to me. So I thank you.” He nodded to her; smiled, then started down the hallway.
“I hope your moms not pissed at me” Mickey said as her and Braylee moved to the car.
“That bitch deserved it.” Braylee grumbled jumping into her suv. “I can’t even believe she did it. Even now if feels like a bad dream”
“I’m sorry your sisters a bitch”
“She’s no sister of mine!” Braylee growled and her eyes started to turn a bright glowing blue color.
“Uhmm. You might want to tone it down a bit” Mickey was pointing to the steering wheel, that had started to indent due to her grip. “That’s totally not normal…”
“Strength….” She groaned. “I can’t even get mad anymore…. Ughhh…”
“Just chill for a second. Wusahhh” Mickey said rubbing her ear lobes lightly in a circular motion.
“Really, at a time like this” Braylee’s chuckle broke through her angry glare.
“Hey. It works. Just cuz it’s in a movie, doesn’t make it true” Mickey started laughing a bit. “Im surprised Shay didn’t smack a bitch when she grabbed her”
“Wait. I didn’t even realize that” Braylee gave her a confused look. “She’s got strength, speed, and hearing. Fuck what if she can here us talking about her…. That’s why she’s eating in the bathroom….”
“We’ll dam. So she does know your coco for coco puffs about her” Mickey laughed.
“God. Why” Braylee spun her head and glared at her best friend. “I’m gonna die. As if having your sister out you to the school wasn’t bad enough.”
“Why hasn’t she talked to you then?” Mickey questioned. “Well you ready for the war of the worlds at the house?”
“Yeah, definitely still better then at school” Braylee sighed and then started the car.
“Well… nope I don’t see any way to flip this positive. Ughhh am I gonna have to go home” She sighed.
“I’m not facing all this shit alone. So we can head to the store. I’m sure she’s getting an earful anyway” Braylee said with a smile.
Of course when they go to the store they hadn’t expected both parents still there. Unaware of why they were out of school early.
“Shouldn’t you two be in school?” Braylee’s dads stern words made them both freeze in place down the center isle.
Neither of them turned but they could feel his eyes on them. Waiting for an answer. When they didn’t answer after a few seconds they heard her mother sigh coming around the corner ahead of them.
“Hunny I just got off the phone with Principal Granger. It seems ….” She stopped mid sentence startled by the girl’s presence.
“I figured one of you would be at home…” Braylee replied covering her face with a single hand.
“We’ll I came in to help your mom out. What the principal say?”
“He said me and Leah got into fight at school and we are both suspended.” Mickey hung her head a bit in shame. “She started it thou…”
“We figured you’d need help here” Braylee answered and shrugged a bit when her dad looked straight at her.
“We are thankful for your honesty, but…” Braylee’s mom started.
“Also figured that Leah was going home and it was best to let everyone cool off” Braylee said as the front doors swung open.
Everyone looked up to see Jayden’s smiling face headed in their direction. Which of course had her father moving to greet him.
“Hope those generators are going well!” Her father gave the man a quick “man hug”.
They parted and Jayden’s eyes met Braylee’s for a second and he nodded.
“They have definitely come in handy” He replied and my father motioned to my mother to come to him.
“We’ll if you need anything else. Let the girls know. We have a situation that needs to be handled at home” That was all that her parents said before moving out to her dad’s truck in the parking lot.
“That didn’t sound to good” Jayden said turning back to the duo.
“I smacked her sister, after she dragged Shay from the girls bathroom; across the hall, and through the cafeteria, just to toss her into the dirt outside where we eat.” Mickey explained, moving towards the counter.
“We’ll y’all had a fun day it seems” He chuckled and looked at Braylee. “She grabbed your mate and man handled her. And you didn’t shift.”
“It all happened so fast… I didn’t really get time to think…” Braylee said as Mickey gasped.
“He knew before me!” Mickey was quickly at her side angrily glaring at her. “But I’m your best friend”
“I’m like the wolf info guy I guess. But she didn’t really have a chance to lie” Jayden added in, grabbing a few items off the candy shelf next to them. “So I found out she’s actually come back around here due to the fact her father is human. Her mother must have carried the genes”
“How do you even find stuff like that out?” Mickey questioned.
“Humans are very bad at keeping secrets. They gossip a lot” Jayden laughed. “Once you all shift I can give you some pointers”
“You really think we are going to shift?” Mickey questioned, leaning over the counter with a sideways look.
“I’m still not sure how or why? But you all have been blessed or cursed with the gene”
“What does that even mean?” Braylee groaned.
“It means. Whomever is responsible is working alone but keeping it dam tight lipped” Jayden tossed the candy onto the conveyor. “I can only find out what’s happening around y’all. How much the other kids see. Some teachers too. But nothing leading to why.”
“Great. It’s one big secret” Braylee stopped as the front doors slid open to reveal Bruno.
His left eye looked like he got hit by Mike Tyson. Except he didn’t even really look there way, just started off down the first isle.
“Bruno!” Mickey called out but he didn’t come back around the corner or acknowledge their existence at all.
“Isn’t that one of yours?” Jayden motioned to the boy but both girls exchanged a quick glance.
“Yeah” Was all Braylee could say.
“Who the fuck socked him like that?” Mickey looked at them both with disbelief. “He’s like a big ass football player. How does that happen?”
“Cheap shot?” Jayden shrugged, tossing Mickey cash for the candy.
“You know I can hear you all right.” Bruno’s voice sounded over the mind link.
“What happened?” Braylee said like a caring mother as he turned the corner behind them.
“Remember when I said my dad was kind of a dick… when it came to this football stuff…. Well I told him I was gonna quit the team..” Bruno rubbed the back of his neck, unsure of what else to do.
“That’s fucked” Braylee was standing on a stool looking at his eye, that had a red spotted area. “Popped a blood vessel and gave you a black eye”
“That’s wild” Jayden said, tossing a handful of candies into his mouth.
“It will heal…” He said. “How’s everyone else?”
“Leah and Mickey are suspended. It’s a whole story” Braylee gave her Bestie a sideways glance. “The entire school knows I have a thing for Shay. And we are Werewolves”
“Wait! your gay?” Bruno started and then the wheels turning in his mind caught the last bit. “Werewolf…. Your lying”
“Nope. Next full moon you will all shift for the first time. I expect.” Jayden said through a mouth full of chewed skittles.
“When’s that?” Bruno says tossing a armful of food items onto the counter.
“Tomorrow night. First shift sleepover at Braylee’s” Mickey chuckled.
“So what’s the plan with that?” Braylee looked at Jayden.
“Stay away from humans, hopefully you have a basement with a door.” Jayden groaned watching them all watching him. “I can’t watch five different wolves at one time”
“Also we do have one problem…” Braylee looked up with a sigh. “Emily can’t come to the sleep over. Says her dad won’t allow it”
“That’s definitely problematic” Jayden shrugged. “Hopefully she’s got enough sense to get away before it all comes out”
“So now I gotta tell my dad I’m going over to a girl’s house for a sleepover?” Bruno gave them all a cocky smile.
“Ewww no” Mickey giggled.
“You can tell him one of the twins wants to join the football team or something” Braylee added in. “Xavier will be there too”
“Well if I got two black eyes you know why” He laughed a bit and gave Mickey some cash.
“I wouldn’t expect that to still be there in the morning. Fast regeneration is another effect” Jayden grabbed two bags of chips.
“That’s gonna be fun to explain. Well at least nobody will see it at school tomorrow” Bruno replied and grabbed his bags. “I’ll let you know how it goes”
Jayden and Bruno left the girls to close up and then off to the shit show they headed. Pulling up to the house. They immediately realized Logan’s keep outside.
“Great” Braylee groaned heading towards the door.
Entering the house they heard shuffling upstairs, then coming into the living room. Braylee’s dad and Logan sat on opposite sides of the couch watching television. Logan waved at them a bit, probably hoping to cut the tension.
“Great your other daughters are home!” Leah hissed from upstairs, probably seeing the car in the driveway.
“I’d just stay in the basement tonight” Their dads voice came as a warning.
“Actually I think I might just have you take me home” Mickey didn’t look at Braylee but was looking at the front door instead.
“That’s bull. Mickey wasn’t in the wrong. Why do we get punished because someone else wants to be a bitch” Braylee clearly wasn’t having it.
“Language!” Her father warned but she growled under her breath.
“Braylee…” Mickey said, touching her Bestie on her shoulder.
“I’m not going to let her win here too” Braylee started for the stairs and Mickey was quickly on her tail.
Pulling on her arms at the bottom of the stairs.
“Someone found her claws” Logan chuckled for a second till dad glared at him.
“Don’t go up there!” He said his voice starting to elevate.
“So she’s just gonna get no sort of backlash for outing me to the entire school. While dragging some poor girl across the cafeteria?” Braylee couldn’t believe it, Mickey was in shock as well.
“She’s going to be leaving soon. Just let her finish packing” He retorted, still not looking away from the television screen.
“You kicked her out?”
“No. I just want away from my lezzi sister and her weirdo friends” Leah huffed running past her on the stairs. “You think I’d get kicked out for calling you out. After you nearly killed me”
“So that’s how she got out of it” Mickey said over the mind link.
“No it’s fine. Let’s go Braylee” Mickey was pretty much trying to drag her away.
“No. Your just a hateful hag that doesn’t have shit going on after she graduates. So now you wanna ruin other peoples lives.” Braylee spit out like a snake backed into a corner.
“We have neighbors. So take your friend home. And we can talk later” Her father said and she just started towards Leah.
Grabbing her arm, she forced her older sister to the floor. Like she’d done to Shay, grabbing her arm she dragged her to their dads feet. Tossing her to the floor just short of the couch.
“There’s your reanimated version of what happened. And I didn’t try to kill her. She just keeps starting stuff with me and I’m getting tired of it” Braylee didn’t say anything else, just grabbed her keys off the counter and headed towards the door.
Mickey was at her heels holding her mouth in awe. Braylee kicked the suv in gear and backed out the driveway.

Braylee’s parents owned a small two story house in the suburban neighborhood built just outside the towns high school area. Mickey’s parents house on the other hand was part of the older district a block away from the downtown stores.
It was a two story brick building that had a small front lawn and a black metal gate. Of course as they pulled up and parked. Mickey’s grandmother was rocking on her chair and waved.
“Ready for this” Mickey groaned, hoping out the suv.
“Your grandma is so nice” Braylee called after her getting her night bag out the bag seat.
“So what brings you home mouse?” He grandmothers toothless grin made them both laugh.
“Mickey grandma, not mouse” She giggled correcting her. “How was your day?”
As the stepped up onto the porch they noticed the assortment of yarn balls and her grandmother’s needlework. Kroching had always been her favorite past time. Now it was either for the big hospital baby ward; or selling them online, even the neighborhood people had started inquiring about buying them for the winter nights.
“Just more of my hard work” She smiled. “I heard your out of school now for a few days? A fight?” She questioned and Mickey sighed.
“I promise it wasn’t to bully someone. I was just protecting my friends” Braylee looked at the ground for a second not catching the old woman’s gaze.
“It was my sisters fault. One of the reasons we aren’t at my house” Braylee was quick to respond so that Mickey’s grandmother wouldn’t get upset.
“I heard you slapped Leah pretty good” Her grandmother chuckled a bit. “I understand stand. But how are you doing my little mouse?”
“I’m doing good. How’s the house holding up?” Mickey was quick to change the subject as Braylee started to giggle a bit.
“Did she tell you about her boyfriend?” Braylee continued to laugh holding onto the pouch pew.
“My little mouse has herself a boyfriend?” Her grandmother gave her a stern look and the chuckled as she looked up seemingly remembering a time past. “I remember my first boyfriend”
“Why are you like this?” Mickey said mock angrily into the mind link.
“I get all teasing rights cuz it’s my brother” Braylee replied with a smile.
“Soooo is it ok if Braylee and I stay the night GG?” Her grandmothers face dropped a bit, and then she smiled.
“If you’re sure you can handle being back here. The house is always open to you mouse” As she spoke Braylee and Mickey started into the house.
Unlike Braylee’s parents fairly newly built house, the architecture of the running boards was a swirling pattern that fed all the way through the house. Coming to a circle swirl on the wooden banister at the stairs.
It was a beautiful house, but it held a dark side that Braylee understood. The summer she’d spent comfortably at Braylee’s, now she’d stepped into the living room in hell.
Mickey didn’t look around, didn’t even grab for the banister as they climbed the first set of stairs. The second floor was hauntingly quiet and unlike the downstairs dark.
“Gg doesn’t do steps anymore…. So it’s always dark up here” Mickey mumbles, looking at the red carpet and not at the closed doors.
The next set of stairs was narrow, heading up to Mickey’s bedroom. Where she’d probably only spent a single night in since the summer’s tragic events.
When they got up to the top of stair’s everything was perfectly cleaned. The dresser hadn’t been touched, the tv across the room was just sitting, clothes weren’t spewed across the room like Braylee’s.
Then she just collapsed onto the colorful center Carter, bawling her eyes out. Braylee’s only reaction was to give her a quick hug from behind.
“It’s gonna be alright Bestie” Braylee tried to soothe her.
“I just don’t get it. Why…” She continued to sob.

Trapped
[Amelya’s point of view]
Night had come and gone. Morning dew hung on the grass as she started awake. Remembering everything that had happened the night before. Looking up at the coming light, snoring made her turn.
Even in human form the woman was cuddled up into a ball. It was chuckle worthy that the black cat vessel was rolled up at her feet. The young witch was already up, looking in her direction.
“Where am I?” The girl looked frightened.
Taking a look around Amelya realized they were still in the garden. Two vampires stood at the gates , all eyes watching them. With a head nod one of them took off. Probably going to get Sapphire or Sampson. Yet even from here she could make out Jayden sleeping against the closest tent.
A smile crossed her face knowing that his pair wouldn’t be far. Wondering if she should give him the news once she got to him. Or just leave him to find out for himself.
“Your Aunt brought you to us. Told us to keep you safe.” Amelya smiled at the girl and pointed to Nela. “She’s a werewolf and your sworn protection.”
“A werewolf? Like Jacob?” They both laughed causing Nela to wake, rolling over, looking in their direction.
“Yeah. But twice as sexy” She added in yawning, stretching, and shaking her butt. “I’m not sure what all you’ve been introduced to in this world yet. But we are currently running from an immortal vampire who is trying for the second time to destroy humanity”
“Guess you’re all, ok?” Sapphire called out from the gates. “We still can’t come in”
Jayden was quickly up and at her side once she spoke. Wiping off the grass that had stuck to him in the night.
“I’m sorry about your aunt…” Amelya turned to the girl.
“How could she be dead if her spell is still intact?” Nela questioned, helping the girl to her feet. “What’s your name by the way?”
“Raven” She struggled to walk like a newborn foal for a second.
“Any idea how to get out of there?” Sapphire questioned as Jayden and her watched them walk to the gates.
“Not a clue!” Nela shouted back.
Of course the black cat was quietly walking behind Nela. She gave it a glance then looked back up to Amelya.
“Should I ask where the kitty came from?” Nela questioned.
“You want to know?” Amelya put her hand on the invisible barrier between them and the rest of the group. “Her Aunt trapped our mother in the cat.”
“Our mother?” Sapphire questioned pointing from herself to Amelya.
“Yep. That’s how I can bring you back…..” Amelya didn’t look up from the cats green eyes.
“How is that possible?” Nela questioned.
“I was part of the youngest daughters…. Twins…. We were sacrificed to bring them back after the fire….” Again she didn’t waver from staring at the cat.
“I’m sorry sister…. You must not have been old enough to get a mineral name….” Sapphire gazed at Amelya with a grin. “That just means I had a sister with me the whole time..”
“Wait! Your a twin too?” Jayden nearly pushed Sapphire away, eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Definitely…. Her Aunt explained that the witches have our other sister. But she didn’t tell me where exactly they are.” Amelya looked up at Sapphire and realized the huge smile that was directed at her.
“She’s probably my pair…” Jayden sighed.
“So sister? How are we going to get you out of there?” Sapphire asked as Sampson started to hobble their way.
“Guess who finially found us?”
Everyone around looked to each other for an answer. Yet nobody spoke a word. Sampson just pointed across the row of tents scattered around, to a pair of people followed by a small group. Maybe ten or fifteen people.
“Gabe!” Amelya shouted out, waving.
Forgetting quickly that she was stuck behind the witches spell. Which when she stepped forward knocked her back onto her butt.
If Cleo had been there she’d probably been laughing her butt off. As Amelya thought about it her heart dropped for a second. She was still missing.
Gabe and Lexi quickly rushed to Jayden’s side. Followed by a few vampires she’d recognized from the Emerald Sanctuary and a few she hadn’t. Lexi stopped the moment her eyes fell on Sapphire.
“She’s one of them…” Lexi stuttered, griping Gabe’s hand as Newt stepped out of a close by tent.
Causing Gabe’s attention to move toward the human boy. As their eyes locked Newt looked quickly to Amelya. Who stood up and smacked the invisible wall with her hand. Grabbing her brother’s attention.
“Don’t even think about it!” Her eyes starting to swirl to black.
“Gabe’s fine. Right babe?” Lexi pulled his hand hard, letting him lean closer to her.
“I’m good” He let a faint smile cross his lips.
“Yes I’m one of the sire line heads” Sapphire waved to them. “But you already met one of my siblings” She chuckled a bit and looked toward Amelya.
“That can’t be true…. Your Gabe’s sister…” Lexi looked from Sapphire to Amelya, then to nearly every else.
“It’s true…” Amelya answered.
“So who are they?” Nela questioned looking past the group to find another larger group standing at the tree line.
Amelya gasped looking at the group of men pouring out of the woods. Ahead of them three smallish, very familiar, ugly crying faces. Her friends were tossed ahead, at the mercy of these people.
“Onyx was right! You all did lead us straight into your little camp. Prepare to die!” A man stepped out of the woods with a huge grin on his face and another man who stood a bit taller behind him. “We found your friends, figured they’d want in on your new life”
“We’ll the little life you have left!” One of the other guys shouted out.
“Gabe! Please help!” Sam cried out and it broke Amelya’s heart to watch the man kick her into the dirt.
Wet tears causing the ground to mud up. Covering the left side of her face as she was pushed further. All of them sobbing.
“Come save your old friends!” The vampire kicked her again in the ribs, she folded over into a ball the pain excruciating.
Before anyone else could move Jayden was off. The vampire closest to him caught by his throat in the air.
“I’ll end him! Let them go!” Jayden demanded.
Sapphire was motioning for the men to get ready. Quickly they fell into a line behind Jayden’s advice. The two men in charge howled with laughter as Nela punched the barrier.
“You bastard! I thought you were dead!”
[Cleo’s point of view]
“You could stop all this….. Just raise your family and enjoy your new life together….” Cleo watched as Onyx shook his head a bit. “Just leave the humans alone, take an island and just enjoy life?”
Willow did worry about what the poor girl said and started off to the west. Without turning or saying anything.
“I truely don’t believe that’s possible child….” He started off after her leaving Cleo in the sand. “Once you pick a future you need to see it through”
Wishing she could communicate with Amelya, or just hold her for a few moments. Anything to break the cycle of grief flashing through her. She was done feeling like this…. It had been years since the last time it had crept up on her like this.
“You coming?” Onyx called back without turning, knowing the girl wouldn’t dare stay back alone.
They walked for four hours. The sun beating down on them, sweat pouring off of the witch. Neither of the vampires bothered by it’s effects.
“Thankfully burning up in sunlight was a myth” Onyx chuckled to himself.
“Or that sparkling crap” Cleo added in, as they rounded a huge sand dune a chuckle cracking through the mask.
At the top a long fall entered into a stone ruin of some kind. The sight of it caused the witch to throw her hands up, thanking the spirits it wasn’t a farther journey.
Once down into the first room big red stones decorated the walls and floors. Huge murals depicting a red haired man stood across the walls.
“It’s not a sanctuary?” Cleo asked, waiting to hear footsteps or someone headed in their direction.
“Garnet was a strange case…. He was always good when needed in times of war. But he refused to create a legacy” Onyx continued into another room ahead of them.
“So he isn’t a sire head?” Cleo couldn’t help but look at the huge paintings of battles won all across the centuries.
Each of them showing him ready and smiling for a fight. All he was about was taking power.
“He could be, but he never did.”
The second room was twice the size of the first room. Treasure littered the room, gold and precious metals, giant gem stones. It looked like a pharaoh had died and left his treasures to join him in the afterlife.
As they approached the coffin Onyx gave it a push. Throwing the stone slab almost completely across the room. It cashed onto the floor and broke into large pieces.
Inside a man lay, reddish brown hair flowing down the sides of his face. Across his chin a scruffy beard and mustache of red hair. His skin looked dark, sucked to the bones like a mummy.
“Give him the blood!” Onyx commanded and Cleo froze up.
It hadn’t even crossed her mind. She’d swallowed it earlier. Onyx was gonna fly off the handle for sure.
“I accidentally swallowed it…” She said shyly looking at her feet.
“Go get more!” Onyx’s voice was an echo as the witch pulled them into a smoky funnel of blackness.
(Amelya)
Nela was pointing to the second man that exited the woods as a plume of black smoke erupted from the sky. Billowing down to the ground at the center of the camp.
Her heart jumped as Cleo and Willow stepped out of it. A smile on her face as Cleo’s eyes met hers. The witch on the other hand scanned the crowd of Sapphire’s subjects, watching the girl intently for a second.
“What’s going on here?” Willows femine voice rang out across the camp.
Catching everyone of guard. Onyx’s men stopped, quickly bowing to her. Yet she still continued to scan faces until her eyes met Amelya’s.
“We are hunting them down as Onyx asked” The first man stood upright, looking at the witch.
“I am here for Amelya.” Willows words caused Sapphires men to take a step forward. “I do not wish to fight. Onyx needs Garnet awakened.”
“I refuse!” Amelya shouted and Cleo took a step towards the wall of men of Sapphire’s house.
“You look trapped young one?” A sly grin crossed the woman’s full lips. “I can also allow your friends to go free? Up to you?”
Cleo turned and saw the human girls she’d seen at the mall and later in Amelya’s room cowering for their lives. Jayden was only a few steps away from her holding a vampire of house black by his throat. Lexi and Gabe seemed to be completely fixed on her.
“We are trapped…” Nela sighed falling to the ground.
The cat quickly began licking her arm as if to offer some sort of support. Raven was quick to raise her hands ready to defend if her powers allowed.
“I will bring Garnet back… If you allow my friends and i freedom” Amelya called out across the camp.
Sapphire noddded quickly and the men parted ways. Giving them a clear path to the garden gates. Jayden dropped the young vampire and stood at the center of the opening.
“Cleo needs to be part of the deal!” Jayden looked back at Amelya with anger in his eyes.
“Don’t let the boy talk for you. He will get you all executed” The man leading the Onyx house men yelled out.
“Cleo may go. I’ll tell Onyx there wasn’t another way.” Willow shrugged at them, looking back at the small army coming from the woods. “Jeb go back to the sanctuary with your flee bags. Leave the humans.”
“That’s bullshit!” The guy to his right howled, his eyes turning a gold color.
“You dare question me? I am the closest one to Lord Onyx.” Willows eyes honed in on the wolf, a shard of ice crystallizing in her palm.
“Where is our lord?” He questioned, looking down at Sally and Madness huddled together on the ground.
The wolf was quick, but the witch was quicker. As he leaped forward Sally pushed Madness away. A swift claw mark stretched across her back. Screaming out in agony and dispare the ice flew across pinning the wolf leader to a nearby tree. His eyes red with fury, the ice shard hit him between his shoulder and arm.
Nela whined as Amelya reached a hand forward shattering the witches invisible barrier. Willow turned as the wall shattered, looking down at Cleo and over to Amelya.
“We can heal her!” Cleo was quick to step between her lover and the witch as Amelya fazed across the camp. Eyes blacker then a clear night sky.
Maddness was holding Sally who must have passed out from the pain as Nela kneeled beside them. Looking at the wound.
“I need to bite her !” Nela looked back at Amelya, waiting for confirmation. “If not she’ll be part of his pack…”
“Do it” Cleo spoke first, wrapping Amelya in her arms. “Please give them your blood. So we can be safe for a little while longer”.
Tears started to run down Amelya’s cheeks, her eyes slowly turning back to normal color. Cleo quickly kissed her lips as Amelya held out her arm to the witch.
Nela nipped Sally on her neck quickly. Watching as the wound on her back started to heal. Maddness was looking at the southern girl with a horrified expression.
“She’ll be ok now. I’m Nela” Maddness let a smile break through her running eyeliner lines.
“I’m Maddness” She replied. “Thank you”
At that the men from house Onyx pulled the wolf from the tree and retreated into the woods. Leaving the witch alone with the rest of them.
“I’m sorry about your friend” Willow spoke sincerely lifting her hand as a small cut formed on Amelya’s wrist. “I didn’t want anyone to come to harm.”
“Then why are you with Onyx?” Cleo was quick to ask as blood pooled in the air.
“You’ll be surprised to see where loyalties lie. I had no choice but to help him. He’s not all bad either” Willow looked at Cleo who grimaced. “Maybe once there was a huge line that wasn’t crossed between those who you’d call good or evil. But that line has long passed”
“He’s a monster!” Amelya said pulling her wrist away and licking it. Once a puddle was floating in the witches palm.
“That is but one opinion of him”
“I bid you farewell” A plume of black smoke rose from around the witch, then she was gone.
“What the hell are you into!” Sam yelled out, looking across the camp at what had transpired.
Nela was helping Sally and Madness to their feet at her right. Sampson was first to move after the witch had departed. Looking from the human girls to the rest of them in attendance.
“Let’s all pack into Sapphires tent. We need to get on the same page” Sampson shouted out to everyone, but only started to pick a handful of people out of the crowd.
Amelya and Cleo were first to enter. Monticello held the cat followed by Raven, Jayden and the humans. Nela was still supporting Sally with Madness at her side. Lexi and Gabe were next. Sampson pushed into the tent last, his cane wildly waving as he rushed to the head of them.
“Onyx will have Garnet at his disposal in a couple of hours. I’m sure those beasts went back to our sanctuary.” He looked at Nela as he spoke. “No offense to the two wolves in attendance.”
“None taken.” Nela added in. “That was my old pack….”
“I figured as much” Monticello said dropping the cat next to Sampson’s feet.
“Onyx hates humans for killing his family…. I tried to get him to see that revenge wasn’t the answer…” Cleo was cuddled up with Amelya in the corner.
“Onyx can’t be saved. Our mother new that” Sapphire looked right at Amelya. “You might have doomed us all by letting that witch lock her away”
“Your mother would have taken my body as a vessel if my Aunt hadn’t locked her in the cat.” Raven shrugged a bit. “I’m sure if we go meet the witches, they will give her a vessel”
“I’ve only ever heard of witches in the deep south ” Nela added in.
“There are to many sides to this game” Jayden started toward the tents exit. “We should split up. Having us all together in one place makes us vulnerable. If not for the witch we’d all be in chains or worse”.
As he went to leave the tent Gabe grabbed his arm. Lexi gave him a quick glance before he pulled away.
“Jayden’s right.” Monticello spoke next, looking straight at Sampson. “I’ll take the boy, the witch, and the wolves and head south with what’s left of the emerald sanctuary. You all head to the Ruby sanctuary.”
“He’s not right.” Sampson said leaning against his cane. “If we split up we lose numbers. He’s just trying to get to the witches and his pair. The boys blinded.”
“Let him go then.” Nela smiled as she started towards Sampson. “Witches are very crafty and easily scared. If to many people come they will be ready for a fight.”
“What about all the humans?” Newt must has snuck into the tent somehow.
“My friends won’t leave my side. I can’t have them hurt.” Amelya pulled Cleo by the arm towards Newt at the door.
“Is that wise?” Sampson questioned. “There are many young vamps out there. You yourself are one?”
“Let alone a young wolf…” Nela looked over at Sally.
“We need the rest of our family who sided against Onyx” Amelya sighed. “They won’t leave my side. My other friends will see to that.”
“We aren’t done…” Monticello tried to stop the group as they slipped out of the tent.
“Let them go. I think we all need a rest.” Sampson stepped up to his old friend. “Tell Jayden he’s going alone to warn the witches.”
“You think that’s a good idea?” Monticello looked up at him a worried expression clear as day on his face.
“Jayden is quick to action but hopefully this will give him some calm” Sampson watched as everyone else poured out of the tent.
Sapphire was watching them both from the middle of the room once everyone else left. Sampson was the first to bow and leave, Monticello followed suit.
