One place one day, gone the next,
Only staying for a breath,
My heart sighs, full of content,
That is how things should have went.
Yet up in the clouds, where the light appears,
Can not hold all my tears,
For all that is good and all that is great
Has been taken away from me by fate.
A god’s tale, don’t you see?
It is never of a man who is free.
Stuck in one place, only to see a face,
Down below, where he can not go.
Heart aching for worldly pleasure,
Yet, I suppose we will wait here together.
For something to change, for history to be made,
For up here, the sky is so clear,
And it is a pity that there is no one near,
To share the joy with, in this beautiful abyss,
Do I wonder to much? There so much I don’t understand, So meny things I cannot touch, Or hold within my hand
I wonder about friendships About lover and their lost I wonder about airships And oceans tempest tost
I wonder about stars And the space in between I wonder about the sky And the air currents unseen
I wonder about my ancestors And what they believed I wonder about the natives And the gifts they received
I wonder about the future, I wonder about the past How a camera takes a picture And what makes food last.
I wonder what dogs dream about
And why do cats sing
How long before she’ll though him out
And why don’t men scream?
Crying is healthy, Yet we’re told not to do it Love is priceless, Yet we taught to lose it.
I wonder about what can’t be shown And what I cannot see I wonder about all I’ve known And what’s inside of me.
I wonder if I’ll find true love And Why I wonder so I wonder what’s in heaven above And if I’ll ever know.
Do I wonder to much? There’s so much to understand, So meny things my mind can’t touch, So please come take my hand
In the heart of an adventurer, a flame burns bright, A soul with wanderlust, craving endless flight. Never content to stay in one place for long, Yearning to explore, where the world's wonders throng.
Through mountains and valleys, across vast seas, This restless spirit roams, forever seeking peace. With each new horizon, a thrill in the air, Uncharted territories, calling them to dare.
They chase the sunrise, as it paints the sky, Embracing the unknown, with a fearless sigh. From ancient ruins to bustling city streets, They immerse themselves, in cultures they meet.
In distant lands, where languages differ, They find connections, hearts begin to stir. Through shared smiles and laughter, they understand, That humanity unites, no matter the land.
They witness nature's beauty, in every form, From cascading waterfalls to thunderstorms. In the whispers of forests and the ocean's roar, They find solace, a harmony to explore.
But amidst the adventures, a longing remains, For a place to call home, where love sustains. A haven to return to, after each escapade, Where memories are cherished, and dreams are made.
For the wanderer knows, deep within their core, That the world is vast, with treasures to adore.
So let them roam, let them explore, For the wanderer's heart is forevermore. In their quest for discovery, they find their way, Leaving footprints of wonder, as they seize the day.
She dances freely with the winds of change, With wanderlust and courage in her stride, A gypsy soul, untamed and wild, With the vast horizon as her guide.
She runs where roaring rivers rush and flow, Where the stars in skies are littered and strewn, A wanderer embracing the world with open arms, Chasing the Golden Sun and the Silver Moon.
Her feet, they tread on paths unknown, On roads less traveled by, In every step, lies a journey of its own, Beneath the blue expanse of the open sky
She's the whispering winds in the forest, The echo of laughter in the pouring rain, A fleeting shadow in the velvet night, Not bound by chains, nor love or pain.
She feels the familiar pull of heartstrings, The melody of the harp, so bittersweet, Yet at love's tender calling, she finds a swift retreat. To save her restless heart from its defeat.
A heart that’s armor clad and beats a lonely drum, And dances to a rhythm of its own, Fearing if she stays too long, to sorrow she'll succumb. Her gypsy soul knows only how to roam.
She's wild, a spirit soaring free, With wanderlust, across the earth she roams, Yet in her ocean eyes, a silent plea, For a destination, somewhere to call home.
Complicated, broken, and tattered at the seems, Yet so bold and beautifully unbound, She's a mystery that may never be solved, A missing puzzle piece that may never be found.
So let her run, let her chase the sun, Let her drift, un anchored, Let her dream her dreams, If not, the wind will steal her soon enough, Her gypsy heart belongs to golden beams.
And though she’ll never linger for too long, She’ll leave you breathless, and in her wake, you'll find, The memories of a love so fervent and strong, On your heart, her mark’s forever left behind.
Wherever you are
If I could reach you
I would only ask
If you wonder for love
Or wander for lust,
Do you seek the world out to find home,
Or to find home in yourself.
Either way-
I can only watch you
With envy?
Maybe
But hope
Hope is what I feel
Because I know atleast I wonder
With love
About you
Your journey
For what you see,
I want to hear,
And for what you live,
I want to write
So for what you love
Or lust for
I’ll do the same
Because the adventures I seek
Live in your brain
It was always a joke, but everyone knows, the best jokes are rooted in truth. She would never stay put, she was too wanderlust, they mocked her even in youth.
She never stayed down, was precocious and bold, too stubborn ever to quit, The bullies, they tried, but eventually stopped, when she just couldn’t be bothered with it.
She played four different sports, captained six different teams, broke records and no shortage of bones, Learned to read at age three, was doing calculus by 12, blew through all of the standard milestones.
Her family was large, her support system great, her friends and her faith ground her too. But she was young and naive, impossibly so, nothing more than a green ingenue.
Her father would laugh and say someday she’d know, what the world outside Utah beheld, It would test her and try her and mostly just shock her, her education would be unparalleled.
At 15 her sports dreams went up in smoke when her knee ripped apart at the seams. She could walk and could run, but cutting was out, she said goodbye to all of her teams.
Then she got down to work, with plan B and plan C, but she’d really known this all along: That she wanted adventure, she wanted to learn, so she jumped into her decision headlong.
She met the next day with a Staff Sergeant at school, who wooed her to join the Air Force, Two short years later, she signed on the line, with excitement and no real remorse.
She said goodbye to her friends, her family all cried, but she was ready to be on her own, She was scared but excited, nervous but sure, she walked straight into the great, dark unknown.
She spent six long years traveling and learning anew, meeting people all around the world, Studying language and culture, politics and war, growing up from that small little girl.
She made friends who were family, she always loved hard, had her heart broke a few times at least, But she always bounced back, found a way to keep going, her education to always increase.
She learned a new language, and moved place to place, her wild spirit always wanting to roam, She thought she’d travel forever, fulfill all her dreams, …until an impetus brought her back home.
The world keeps on turning, no matter what, so we all know that life must go on. But every person experiences that one life event, that’s a world-halting phenomenon.
Her sister, beloved by all whom she knew, the pregnant mother of four little boys, Took a ride through a field, but didn’t come out, got distracted by some little noise.
The ambulance came, two helicopter too, and rushed them all to medical care, When her helicopter landed, the baby declined, so they cut him out while she was barely aware.
The baby, he lived, through no small feat at all, he’s now perfect and lovely and smart. Sweet to his core, the kid’s cunning and brave, with the ability to heal every heart.
The sister lived too, though she’s far from the same, a child living in an adult, She was holding her babes instead of her head, severe brain damage was the result.
So the girl moved back home, five kids to help raise, her wanderlust she put down on hold, Someday when the boys grow she’ll leave once again, with new adventures and journeys untold.
But ‘til then she’ll tell her stories, her lessons, her dreams, to the five boys who’ve stolen her heart, She’ll continue her learning, any way that she can, for knowledge will always impart.
I am not interested in a world where women must say yes because they are too afriad of what will happen if they say no.
I am not interested in a world that thinks by putting one woman on top we have created equality.
Equality cannot simply be achieved with one woman. Men fill up space and no man seems to worry that another man in the field means he’ll lose his spot.
Women must also take up space.
I am not interested in a femenism that does not include trans women.
I am not interested in a world where black women must shout ‘my life matters!’
I am not interested in a world without empathy where men’s response to ‘stop teaching women that rape is their fault and start teaching men not to rape’ is ‘but men get raped too.’
I am not interested in a world where one woman is free but another is not.
No woman is free while one of us is not.
No woman has power while one of us does not.
Women are precious beauties deserving of love.
Don’t wait for the world to catch up but bring it up to speed.
Don’t wait for the world to hand you your turn but go out and sieze it.
You are so much stronger than you believe.
Don’t wait for the world when you could create it.
The familiar road of gravel Crunches beneath my boots as I travel The wind at my back, the sun in my face I could not imagine any better place
The idea of a “home” is not one I know To stay is to settle, to move is to grow Life soon becomes stagnant in a singular place So in wandering the world, I discover my grace
Sometimes it gets tiring to wander alone But no one wants to join me in the places few go My life is a story, my future a mystery The farther I go, the more I become part of history
If in my heart there was ever a doubt I’d just look at the stars, let my view pan out Every once in a while I’ll wish I could fly Since if I grew wings I could traverse both land and sky
As the dusk beckons dark The landscape still stark Moonlight guides me on Since the path that I walk is endlessly long
