Love And War

Your rough around the edges,

I’m tattered at the seams.

Baby, you’re a raging fire,

And God knows I’m the gasoline.

It’s obvious that we’re destined

To explode with a deafening sound.

But the flames will be so beautiful

As we’re burning to the ground.

The sky can’t stay blue all the time,

God knows we drive each other insane.

But together, we make one hell of a storm.

There’s beauty in the thunder and the rain.

You and I both know the risks

Of playing such a dangerous game.

Twisting love and destruction

Till they become one and the same.

But love never comes without a cost,

Pleasure and pain go hand-in-hand.

And a shattered woman can only be made whole

By the hands of a broken man.

This love feels like a battlefield,

We’re two soldiers hard at war.

I’m not sure if we’re enemies,

Or if it’s me you’re fighting for.

I’ve got scars and battle wounds,

But until i’m laid to rest,

I’ll fight for you; will you fight for me,

Or put a bullet in my chest?

Either way is fine by me,

Cuz I’m not afraid to die.

You’re worth the fight, and I love the pain,

So let the fucking bullets fly.
