Never Grow

I was once told never grow up, Never let the innocent years go by Always keep wishful thinking Hold on to it all Well? What happen. How the hell am I supposed to do this. How am I supposed to be grown now? Where was my mind when I was 5 and playing in the sand at the beach. Why is it now flooded with so many worries I can barley breathe. They truly weren’t joking when they said hold on I guess my grip just wasn’t tight enough.

This is relatable, deep, and real.

I love it. It’s also well written and clear, but with enough ambiguity to be open for others to relate to.

The line “I guess my grip just wasn’t tight enough” hit home for me. It’s surprisingly true and yet it brings back bitter sweet memories of growing up and not being able to go back.
