POEM STARTER

You are out walking when you see a person sitting alone on a bench under a Willow tree, crying. Write a poem about them.

This could be written as though you are observing the person but not interacting, or as though you have approached the person and offered to help.

Crying Child

Oh, there

Over there I see

A crying child

Beneath that Willow tree

Why are they crying?

Are they just sad

Or is someone they know

Dying?

Is it someone

I killed?

Is it someone

I’ve tasted?

Oh, crying child

Why do you weep?

You look like a cherry

Your cheeks so red, sweet

No, keep crying

Don’t pay me mind

Keep crying for something

While I come from behind

Shh, child

Do not weep no longer

Oh, the choking sounds

That escape you, fonder

The crying child

Is no more

All limp in my arms

Fitting right in the car door

No one was there

Except that Willow tree

But it will never stop crying

It will always weep

(Uhm. So, it’s kinda rhyming but NOT. Thank for reading.)

This flowed really well!!! I’m just starting to dive into your writings about murder and stuff, and it’s been really fun so far!!!❤️❤️❤️

Haha. Don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, really. 🙃

Haha, same tbh😅

This is really good, I love the tone and the last part is such a good way to finish it off. It‘s fun to read lol.

Thank you, I had to go back into my closet of cannibles

Oh yeah! 50 writings in 2 weeks! Yippee! This is why I downloaded the app anyways.
