WRITING OBSTACLE
Inspired by Lou
Describe the colour of a character's soul.
You do not have to tell the reader who the character is; focus on description and metaphor.
Robotic
If I could attach
A color to her soul,
It would be gray.
Not too dark,
But surely not light,
Her personality
Is just alright.
She’s a neutral girl,
Gray is her soul,
No one seems to know
How to make her whole.
The way she walks?
Bland.
The way she talks?
Monotone.
The way she acts?
Robotic.
How can one be so dull?
I don’t know.
Emotion?
Something she will not show.
Bias?
She never seems to care.
Love?
In her, it’s nowhere.
Morally and emotionally
Gray,
Unchanging and bland
Every single day.
This girl has never
Been seen shedding a tear,
Emotionless,
Practically robotic!
That’s how she appears.
Gray is her soul,
Never before has she been whole.
Uncaring,
More than just nonchalant,
This girl…
She’s basically a robot!
