_Hello, how are you?_

_I’m doing fine,_

_Trying to get used to the silence,_

_Is proving difficult,_

_It makes me feel like something’s missing,_

_Someone’s missing._

_I tried to forget,_

_The memories we’ve shared,_

_But I can’t._

_It’s weird huh,_

_Memories that used to bring me joy,_

_Now bring sorrow and longing,_

_In the place you no longer live,_

_The place you left behind._

_It’s all the little things that keep you in my head,_

_The scent of your coffee,_

_The worn folded sheets,_

_The burrow on the mattress where you once slept._

_I decided to change these little things,_

_It now smells like fresh linen inside,_

_I bought different sheets,_

_And switched out the mattress,_

_Now all of you is fully gone._

__

_So with that being said,_

_I’m doing okay now,_

_I heard you moved out of town to pursue your dream, so,_

__

_I’ll cheer for you from afar,_
