Bound by a Window, Set Free by a Whisper

In a world where secrets whispered through the trees, Lived Elara, confined by life's decree. Her cottage nestled deep in a mystic wood, Where the window held the world, both bad and good. Each morning's song, the birds' sweet serenade, Their melodies in her heart forever stayed. She'd dream of touching petals, vibrant and bright, But through the glass, her fingers took no flight. With dawn, the forest's hues would come alive, Emerald leaves and flowers, they'd all contrive. Yet only sights, no gentle touch or feel, Her heart ached for what the window couldn't reveal. She'd open wide the window with each morn, The scent of earth and dew, a joy reborn. Like morning coffee and fresh-baked bread, A taste of life she longed to share instead. Through daylight hours, a symphony of sound, Leaves rustling gently, secrets all around. A woodland orchestra of life's grand scheme, A melody that danced within her dream. The soft paws of creatures, a gentle beat, Their forest tales in whispers, oh, so sweet. Squirrels chased, rabbits hopped in playful spree, A silent world observed, just out of reach for she. Yet it's not just sights and sounds that she'd embrace, It's the taste of longing filling up the space. Aromas from the village, teasing and cruel, She couldn't taste the bread, her heart the only fool. In twilight's glow, the forest cast its spell, Fireflies danced like stars, a tale to tell. Moonlight painted silver on the land, By the window, Elara's heart would stand. She'd hear the laughter, village voices near, Stories shared by firelight, she'd hold dear. Echoes of a world she wished she could join, Her whispers to the night, her stories to purloin. One night, a soft voice whispered in the breeze, A haunting song that put her heart at ease. She followed it through moonlit woods so wide, For the first time, she felt the world outside. In a clearing bathed in silver's tender grace, She met a man, his eyes a starry space. “Elara,” he said, voice soft as a dream, “I’ve heard you at your window, whispering to the night. You don’t have to be alone anymore.” She broke free from her window, its confine, Hand in hand, they walked under moonlight's shine. No longer trapped in walls she couldn't defy, With every sense and emotion, she'd soar high.
