When I Look in the Mirror

Yesterday I looked skinny

Today, not so much

My mirror can’t decide

If I’m pretty or not

A new roll of fat

A sharper jawline

Shifting and changing

My body’s not fine

It changes each day

It changes my weight

It highlights the scars

I try to hide away

So much uncertainty

Cheeks red like burgundy

Idea of judgement

I shudder so nervously

Can’t understand

Why it won’t follow the plan

No matter what I do

I just can’t stand

How I look in the mirror

Not skinny, too fat

Hit the gym, Don’t eat that

Lost weight, Way too fast

Now I’m dizzy,

Stomach’s flat

But my health

Is not intact
