“You should have known that meeting him would lead to this.” He laughed as Rio dropped to the ground lifeless, blood oozing from his forehead.

Sarah attempted to pull her arm free, instead slipping in the blood, her left heel flinging off.

The ringing in her ears beat louder than her heart.

Zion came up behind Sarah, fully conscious now, and grabbed her collar.

“Where’s an exit?” He forced her to look away from Rios body.

“Why should I tell you?”

“Because if you don’t that puddle of blood is about to get bigger— now tell me where a goddamn exit is!”

Sarah pointed to an emergency exit to the left.

“Come on.” He pushes her in the direction she pointed.

“What?” Sarah stumbled. “No— why!?”

“Stop it with the questions! Just listen to the guy with a gun!”

“Can I grab my shoe?”

“No.” He smirked. “And no questions about it.”
