POEM STARTER
Write a winter Pantoum.
A pantoum is a poem where each stanza is 4 lines, and the second and fourth line of each stanza are repeated as the first and third lines of the next. As this creates a lot of repetition, try to pick a winter theme that would benefit from emphasis of certain lines.
The Dark Of Winter
When the world fades into dark
Earlier and earlier each day
The overhead lights dim
Motivation slips away
Earlier and earlier each day
My bed calls my name
Motivation slips away
It’s tough to stay sane
My bed calls my name
Pillows so soft
It’s tough to stay sane
Time to nod off
Pillows so soft
This fatigue I can’t fight
Time to nod off
Till spring it’s good night
