POEM STARTER
Who are we when no one is watching?
Write a poem that answers this question.
Prying Eyes Safely Hide The Truth
Eyes encrusted with gold close
The soft sound of strumming
Can be heard the air
The worn paper mask you wear
Falls
As does the costume
We both wear
The pictures that prove us
Friends
But when no one is watching
We seem
Distant
Me
And
You
Are not the same
And it’s all my fault
That you love me so much.
I don’t know why
Or how
But I’m the only one who could’ve done this.
I’m sorry, my friend
Don’t blame yourself.
